We rented Bob's home for our wedding. The minute we saw the house, we knew it was the one for us. We had our whole family stay with us at the home. Everything is perfect and the pictures online don't do it justice! Bob is the owner and was a pleasure to work with. He answered all of our questions and is easy to get in touch with. He provides anything and everything that you could possibly need. We cooked meals at the house, except for the wedding dinner, and there is every kind of pot, pan and utensil you would need. The kids had a blast in the game room downstairs and the hot tub was especially nice while the snow was falling around us. The bedrooms are nice and the views are spectacular. We looked for the bear each morning but we never did get to see him! Overall, our experience was amazing and nobody wanted to leave. We can't wait to all get together and do it again.

Excellent Family Vacation
Excellent Family Vacation
Our family had an amazing time at this house last week. We had 15 adults and 2 toddlers who traveled from across the country to spend the week together. There was plenty of space for everyone and we especially enjoyed spending time on the deck. The theater room was a perfect spot to watch college football on Saturday. Bob was great to work with during the entire year that we planned this trip and responsive to questions about how things work around the house. Definitely recommend for a big group vacation.

A beautiful home and amazing views. The huge deck was our favorite. Very comfortable. The owner was very friendly and responsive. Lots to do in Breck and the surrounding areas. The daily visit by the bear was quite entertaining. All was as promised in the advertising. This was our 3rd VRBO rental for reunions and all have been great.

My family had a wonderful time. The house is amazing. It is big enough for several activities to be going at the same time. Conversation areas where small groups can visit. The game room area is a wonderful fun area. The kitchen area is center of the great room. Large enough to have everyone close to enjoy all. We had 24 people and had such a good time. The photographer we contacted took family pictures on the deck with the mountain for background. Awesome setting! I did not leave the house the full time we were there. I brought food I had cooked at home and family members went to the grocery for me. I just wanted to enjoy the family, the mountains & the whole experience. My husband went to town once. The pictures online are accurate. The pictures do not include the theater room with recliners and the large deck with the tables & umbrellas. The house is more amazing than the pictures show. We are considering returning next year. Directions were clear regarding location. The property was clean and well-maintained. The owner was helpful in answering questions & concerns. I have recommended this property to all friends and family. My family went to town and went on the alpine slide, had a great time. My only recommendation is for fans. It was quite hot and fans would have helped in the bedrooms.

Owner response: Thanks for the feedback. :) If you open windows at the right times for cross ventilation, the home stays cool -especially in the theater and rec rooms. Just to make it that much more posh, as of July 20, 2013, I've added fans for every bedroom for easy comfort. Great house for a big group!
Great house for a big group!
Brought a group of 18 for a spring break trip and had a GREAT time! Bob was awesome - answered all our questions and even provided referrals for snowmobiling at Vail Pass. The house was very comfortable, was conveniently located close to excellent skiing/snowboarding, and worked perfectly for our group. The large entry area was particularly nice and never felt crowded. There were a few broken items (2 chairs, ignitor switch on cooktop, 1 lamp) when we arrived. We are confident Bob will take care of these issues before the next guests show up. Note that the house gets quite warm with all the windows when it is sunny, so bring warm-weather clothing even in the winter. It should also be noted that the basement bedrooms (6 & 7) have no closets. And take the suggestion of 4WD vehicles seriously in the winter - the drive is quite steep!

This place was terrific for our group of 10 moms in much need of rest and relaxation! The main level is large and accomodated us all. The weather was beautiful so the main level deck was an extension of space. Bedrooms and bath were large. Sound system was great. Bob was very accomodating and easy to work with. We look forward to going again to this house. It was the best fit for our weekend. Thanks Bob!

This is the real deal!
This is the real deal!
We were coming to preview this property for our daughter's wedding and were fortunate enough to have been able to rent it for two nights. After seeing the pictures we pretty much knew it would be everything we wanted, but in person, WOW. The house is huge. The views are fantastic. Bob, the owner, the best, he is so responsive and great to deal with. We felt like we were friends. The house is clean and well taken care of. There is so much more being done to the grounds, it will be perfect for the little ones in our family. Very nice downstairs with game room and media room. The pictures are great but still don't do it justice. We can't wait to come back next June. If you're looking for a house with tons of space and the best views from a very spacious deck and patio as well as from inside, this the one.

My extended family of 12 adults spend 4 days and nights at this house in June and we all loved it. The place was clean, pictures on VRBO were accurate ( the views were actually better than the pictures) and the owner was responsive to any of our questions. There was plenty of room for all of us and more room if we had needed it. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a large, well appointed, comfortable place to have a gathering. The location was secluded and quite but an easy drive down to Breckenridge for entertainment.

Amazing time and can't wait to return!
I am so late on writing this review but nonetheless I had to write one. First of all, Bob is great. He answered every email and question I had in a timely response and was there to greet us when we got there. The home is beautiful and amazing just as pictured. Our group of 12 fit very comfortably in the home and we never felt like we were on top of each other. We used everything from the theater to the BBQ grill to the hot tub. This was our first time coming to Breckenridge and we can't wait to come back. Thank you Bob!

About the owner: I've been a Breckenridge local for 23 years. I build custom homes in the area and rent some of them, including this one, short term, seasonally or long term. Mostly though, I'm a skier and snowmobiler in the winter and mountain biker and four wheeler in the summers. I personally manage this property and can make whatever deals suits us each on the spot.
Why the Owner Chose Forest Hills:
I built this magnificent home because of the views and proximity to the Breckenridge town center and ski area. It's only a couple of hours drive to the Denver, Grand Junction and Colorado Springs airports, an hour from world class whitewater rafting and fishing, minutes to the ski resort and town and walking distance to hunting and the back-country. Despite it's proximity, this home is very secluded on ten acres- nearest neighbor is over 1000 feet away! I first vacationed in Breck in 1979 and was hooked. After school , I moved here permanently. I came for te winter and stayed for the summer. Spring and fall are great times to visit; most restaurants have 2 for 1 specials and there is no waiting!
The Unique Benefits at this Chateau / Country House:
Playground for the kids! Three swings sets, fort, jungle gym, trapeze swing, slides, balance beam, mountain bike trail from patio, horse shoe pits and a gas outdoor fire pit with a curved stone amphitheater. I especially enjoy the morning hikes, walking the dog after coffee. There is mountain bike downhill course bordering the property. The views of the ski area and sunset are spectacular.
