My daughter, a girlfriend and I recently rented this lovely and very "French" apartment in the St. Germaine area of Paris and had an absolutely wonderful experience. For one thing, it is exactly as advertised. It is beautifully furnished and had everything we really needed plus the owner was nice enough to leave coffee, milk, fruit, butter and even macaroons for us! I have rented several places from VRBO and I have never had an owner do that. The owner was extremely helpful to us in every way and also has a person from a management firm there to help with anything we needed, including arranging for a car from the airport. We give the rental a glowing review. If it's your first time for Paris or one of many, we think the 6th arrondissement is the best and most convenient part of town to stay in. You can walk to the Metro from this apartment in about 2 minutes and walk to the taxi stand in about 5 minutes. It couldn't have been more convenient. We look forward to returning.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

A friend and I just concluded a long awaited 50th birthday retreat in Paris and could not have been better satisfied with our experience staying in this property near St. Germain des Pres. From the moment I contacted the owner, she was responsive and helpful -- she even emailed me at the last minute to warn me of a cold snap so that I could pack warmer clothing before traveling. Everything about the process, starting with the rental contract, to arrival (with lovely welcome treats), through checkout was as easy and smooth as possible. The apartment is charming and reflects perfectly the description and photographs. The beds were comfortable and the bedding high quality. The house was well equipped and well-appointed. It was also impeccably clean. Although the building is situated on a fairly busy street, the apartment fronts on a side street and so the apartment was extremely quiet. The location is perfect for sightseeing, restaurants and experiencing the Left Bank. I would have been nervous to stay in the apartment with a family -- the white upholstery and bedding, along with delicate furnishings, would not mix well with children. However, for a couple, a women's retreat or even two couples, it is perfect. I highly recommend this apartment and envy those who follow us in it!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We just spent a week in this lovely apartment in one of our very favourite neighbourhoods. I can confirm that it is everything advertised and more. Previous reviewers have mentioned the apartment's tasteful charm, the amenities and comfort, the excellent service offered by the property manager, the advantages of the location, and so on. It's all true, as I urge you to discover for yourself - you will never regret it. As for the owner, we have had only good experiences with VRBO in the past, but Nicole wins the prize - she is by far the most helpful, accommodating, and responsive person we've ever dealt with. I have to mention one particular example of how wonderful she is: when I e-mailed her to ask about the height of the step into the shower (due to a recent injury, my husband could not manage high steps), not only did Nicole promptly send me the measurement and a photo of the step, but she also went out of her way to have a handrail installed in the shower, an incredible contribution to my peace of mind. There are two small things I mention only because we would have liked to know in advance ourselves, not because they seriously affected such an overall positive experience. First, the elevator was turned off every evening by the time we came home, usually after eleven pm, and it's a long trek up to the fourth floor when you're full of delicious food and wine. Second, the toilet is in a separate water closet which is tiny even by the standards of Paris apartments (which are typically quite compact) - a bit uncomfortable for tall people such as ourselves. We were just two people, but the apartment would be a great share for two couples. In two-bedroom apartment rentals, one of the bedrooms is usually markedly inferior to the other, but in this case the arrangements would be fair to both couples. Our overall comment on this apartment? Quite simply, it was a great choice, and we wish we were still there.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: May I first thank you for your very kind words. I always try to make my guests stay the best possible and it's very rewarding when someone takes time to express their appreciation. Thank you also for mentioning what needs to be corrected. The elevator should not have been turned off after 11pm. I myself have used this lift late at night and therefore do not understand what the problem can be. I will ask the management agent what happened, as of course this inconvenience must be rapidly solved. Concerning the toilet, which was renovated only two years ago, I have an idea how to improve it. Unfortunately I cannot make it much larger, but I think I will be able to add an additional 6/8 cm. This small area was not geometrical - one wall followed the curve of the staircase, the other one the curve of the kitchen wall, and when the architect directed the work he thought it would be nicer to straighten these walls. If possible I will try to redo it next November (2013).

We had the most amazing stay in this apartment. We traveled with our daughter and Nicole went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The management company was very attentive. We had fast internet and free phone calls home. When we got there we even had a stocked fridge with some milk, cheese, butter, breads, etc. It was great after a long drive to Paris. The location cannot be beat. We were just moments away from everything, the famous Deux Magot and Cafe Flore, shopping, cafes, metro. It's really a perfect spot. The apartment itself is spacious and perfectly maintained. Beds were very comfortable. The building is beautiful as well. We have recommended this apartment to our friends and hope to be able to stay here again someday. Cannot say enough great things. We feel super lucky to have found it.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

If you are looking for two bedrooms on the left bank, this is your place. From the minute you make contact with the owner, everything is delightful. In many rentals, website pictures are misleading. These are exact representations of the apartment and descriptions were accurate and helpful. The owner arranges a concierge service to assist with your arrival and to meet you at the apartment to show you around and explain every detail. I have very high expectations in lodging when on holiday, and this surpassed them by a long shot. From the newly remodeled kitchen and bathroom, to beautiful oriental rugs and antiques, the apartment is perfection. High end appliances were available for your use. The apartment was clean and well outfitted. It was spacious and well appointed. The location on Rue du Rennes is in an uncrowded part of the St. Germain area with many restaurants and shops in the direct vicinity. We could walk everywhere, but the metro is 1/2 block away if needed. There is a small market and bakery 2 doors down from the apartment. Another nice touch is that local families live in the beautiful building so you get a slice of family life in the Saint Germain area. My daughter and I were there for a week in November and had a perfect stay. If you have any questions for an outside party, I would be more than happy to communicate with you. But truly, don't hesitate to rent this beautiful property. I hope to be able to return and stay a month on our next visit. It's fabulous.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

We have been to Paris many times and decided to spend the month of October here this year. When I found this apartment, I knew from my beginning emails with the owner this would be the perfect place. From the beginning, the interchange was informative, caring and trustworthy. The apartment exceeded our expectations and those of our guests. And you know we had guests with two bedrooms! Everything detailed in the listing is accurate. It is a beautifully decorated apartment and it has every convenience to make a stay wonderful. The beds are very comfortable and the linens elegant and crisp. The towels are monogrammed to ensure each person knows which is theirs. Same for the bathrobes. There is plenty of space for clothes and belongings between the two bedrooms. The bathroom has a large shower that never lost hot water even when four people used it! There is storage for toiletries in the mirror cabinet and guests used a shelf under the sink which kept everything tidy. The kitchen is well equipped and we had a glorious breakfast each morning (a fabulous bakery is just outside of the apartment building). We prepared other meals as well since everything we needed was there. The apartment is spotless. Each week we enjoyed Marie who cleaned and changed our linens and towels. It was apparent the owner ensured all details were executed to make for a great stay. We were made to feel like this was our home in every way imaginable. The WiFi works perfectly which enabled us to take care of personal and professional needs. The TV and DVD performed their functions well. And when we needed to call the U.S., the phone was available to us. Well-Done is the property management company in Paris. Very responsive, informative and assisted us when needed. We became acquainted with all Paris districts. For sure, the location of this apartment allowed us to get to know Paris easily. Mostly we enjoyed the feel of the St. Germain area and of course, Saint Sulpice and its marvelous cathedral and fountain. We will definitely return to Paris and this apartment. We are certain that staying here was a great part of our magical month.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

We have been to Paris before, but never had such a wonderful stay. From the goodies provided to save rushing to the shops on arrival, to the exquisite details in the décor, furniture and linen, everything was perfect, as was the location, central and yet quiet. We look forward to our next visit, to renew this great Paris experience.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We arrived in Paris after a one week cruise. Justine arranged a driver which was most helpful. She met us at the flat and showed us around. The flat was perfect! Exactly as described with the exception of not having a clothes dryer. The kitchen was small but had all of the amenities one could want and Justine had stocked the refrigerator with enough food to get us through the day and evening. Fresh fruit and a bottle of wine along with the famous macaroons were also provided, what a great welcome! The dishes and glassware were plentiful and seemed new. The bedrooms were nice size and the beds were very comfortable. Very nice linens highlighted bright, airy rooms. The whole flat was very well maintained and clean. There was also a housekeeper that came mid week. The location was excellent!. Within walking distance to the metro and a number of great bistros and just three blocks from the Jardin du Luxembourg! The owner was exceptional to work with while making the reservation, very responsive and helpful. Justine was absolutely a dream. We would definitely rent this flat again and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Paris' 6th Arrondissement!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: First, thank you for your very kind and helpful review. I am very pleased that you were comfortable and had an enjoyable stay. Now, for the vanished clothes dryer, I owe you an explanation, of course. The flat was indeed equipped with a high quality combined washing and drying machine. However, I recently occupied the flat myself, and discovered, to my dismay, that it took an eternity to wash and dry clothes, and moreover, with poor results (all creased and crumpled). Recovering from my disappointment, I decided to replace the culprit with a washing machine offering a quick programme. Clothes can dry overnight in the kitchen, with far more satisfactory results. Thank you for drawing my attention to the discrepancy in the description.
