I thought the listing description implied that the house was lakeside and it is not. In addition, the house had not been adequately cleaned. The bedrooms and living area were fine but the bathroom and kitchen were not....mold, ants, unclean refrigerator and sink and a coffee pot that didnt work. The owner took weeks to return my deposit, had agreed to return my "cleaning fee" and thus far has not done so. Although I wrote reminding her of her promise, our trip was in July and I have not received a refund. I would recommend the area but there was too much aggravation to make this particular house worthwhile. This was our first use of VRBO and it was disappointing.
Owner response:This circumstance was an aberation--we have never had a negative review before this point--I apologized to these renters, and had already postmarked the return of the cleaning fee prior to this review.
