Owner info
About the owner: We came to Utah from Buffalo, New York in search of the Greatest Snow on Earth. After teaching skiing in the East, we sought out the great mountain skiing of the West. The year we arrived in Utah we began instructing at Alta with the Alf Engen Ski School. We started renting our townhome to skiers shortly thereaafter. No one in the Salt Lake area has been so committed to skiers. We were married at Alta on a powder day in March next to Cecret Lake and in sight of the Sugarloaf chairlift. We skied down the mountain after the ceremony. Because of our affiliation and status with the Professional Ski Instructors of America, we have given clinics and exams at all the Utah ski areas. We are personal friends with virtually all of the ski school directors in Utah and many of the instructors. We can give you inside and in-depth information about Utah skiing that is unmatched by any of our competitors. We care for our own rental properties and talk personally with each of our guests. As veterans of the ski teaching profession, we understand your vacation needs from your point of view and are uniquely qualified to assist you with your vacation plans. We can supply answers to virtually all of your ski-related questions upon your arrival in Salt Lake City and can even arrange your rental car and lift-ticket needs in advance. We own our own property and care for it, we answer our own phones, and we are always there to make sure your vacation is the best it can be. Why the Owner Chose Snowbird:
We wanted our location to be the most flexible for people wanting the opportunity to ski all of the great resorts surrounding the Salt Lake Valley. If snow storms close Little Cottonwood Canyon and lock people in their hotel rooms, our guests have the option of skiing Brighton, Solitude, or traveling a little farther to visit Snowbasin, home of the 2002 Winter Olympics, or down to Robert Redford's Sundance. But our hearts are in the Cottonwood canyons, and we wanted our best access to Alta, Snowbird, Brighton and Solitude.
