  Just returned from a great week at Azul Peter Bay. To sum it up....the villa was private, comfortable, clean, relaxing, wonderful views, perfect location for us, easy to live in and feel at home. What we especially liked: the pool and outside dining area are right outside the kitchen, there is shade all day long, great grill, very comfortable beds, the house is furnished nicely and appropriately, like an upscale hotel (not like someone's home with personal items), the north shore beaches are so close, and the magnificent private beach which was easy enough to get to, with a short drive and trail (bit rocky) walk. Only slight downside was that our small daughter sometimes doesn't sleep well and often gets up during the night, and this house is definitely not safe for/suited to little kids wandering around in the dark. Problem easily solved by one of us sleeping with her every night in the room she preferred. Highly recommend and we will likely return!

  After briefly visiting the USVI on a cruise last year, our family decided that we wanted to spend the the entire week relaxing on the beaches of St John. My wife and I have two older sons - one in college and one in high school. Vacationing now requires either two hotel rooms or a house rental. As we examined options on St John, it became obvious that the best path forward was a villa rental. After reading a variety of island reviews, we decided that the Peter Bay area was the best location - convenient to the many gorgeous northern beaches while also close enough to Cruz Bay for all the essentials. After contacting a variety of owners, we concluded that Villa Azul was right for us. The Upper Peter Bay location provides convenience and wonderful views. The three bedrooms gave us all sufficient space and comfort. The pool was of adequate size for relaxing. The kitchen/dining/living area was extremely functional. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to make whatever meals you want to make -- we mostly opted to make our meals at the house. We did not need to bring/buy anything but the food to cook. The house had beach chairs, floats, beach towels, many house towels, washer/dryer, detergent, grill, etc... It was as house friendly of a rental that we have ever used. The Dish TV network was fully subscribed with all the movie channels - nice to have when we wanted to just relax after a great day on the beautiful beaches. Trunk Bay and Hawksnest beaches are just down the hill to the left, and Cinnamon Bay and Maho Bay are down the hill to the right. After exploring all four, we found ourselves drawn to Cinnamon Bay the most -- long, walkable beach, great snorkeling, soft sand, and the convenience of a snack bar. Diana, the property manager, was extremely helpful on providing insights of where to shop for food, where to rent snorkel gear for the week, and places to have a nice dinner. A great overall experience ---

  We have stayed in many St John villas located between Fish and Peter Bay, many of which have wonderful qualities and great locations. However, we have finally found the one will plan on renting over and over as this villa is the complete package. To quickly sum it up: The view is positively perfect as you could not ask for anything more, privacy is premium and access via the fairly steep, well maintained roads is no big deal, (but I strongly consider a 4-wheel drive car), the pool is very private, maximizing the view, with perfect water temperatures, the small kitchen is well equipped and handles gatherings for 8 with ease, the upstairs, master bedroom is very comfortable with amazing views, and lastly the price point is truly exceptional given the amenities and location on the island as the villa is very accessible to Cruz Bay (15 minutes) as well as the world renown beaches of Trunk Bay, Cinnamon, Hawksnest, etc. I have no hesitation of giving this villa 5+++ stars. BOOK NOW, before someone else gets it!!

  My husband and I enjoyed our first, Caribbean vacation since we married last year. We had a wonderful, idyllic and amazing time on St John. Azul afforded us a unique experience. We loved everything about our stay and all the extra touches at the home to make it very special. We have a week's worth of very treasured memories and many of them will forever be associated with our stay specifically at the house. Thank you. You had asked about anything we thought of to make it even better. Honestly, we had trouble thinking of anything. The only two very minor things that came to mind were to add some hooks to the bathroom door etc for hanging items and a vegetable peeler. Again, overall it was very, very comfortable and easy to live, cook and enjoy. Oh, and can't wait to be back in February, 2013. We're already counting down!

  Location, location, location! Having previously stayed in Hart Bay and Coral Bay, I can tell you that Peter Bay is the place to be. It is a 2-3 minute drive to both Trunk Bay and Cinnamon Bay. It is a 10 minute drive into Cruz Bay. Azul Peter Bay is the highest home in Upper Peter Bay. That doesn't sound good but compared to some other places on the island it wasn't bad at all. The road up to the home was very navigable. Easy to get up and down, morning and night. The home has what you need. The living room is small but how much time do you spend there anyway. The master bedroom is upstairs and attached to the living room. There are two separate bedrooms downstairs each with air conditioning and separate bathrooms. You can bring three couples and each have lots of room away from one another. We put our children, ages 15 and 11 in the downstairs bedrooms The pool is nice as is the deck which has a wonderful view. The kitchen has what you need and bathrooms have nice, large showers. The only glith was that our key/card to the gated community did not work. We panicked the first night but the owner told us the trick to getting it to open. Needless to say it didn't take much effort. We really liked the idea of the gate closing at night. Good luck.

  We've stayed in many vacation homes on the island of St. John and "Villa Azul" is now top on our list of favorites! The villa's location is spectacular as the views are truly jaw dropping! "Peaceful" describes the atmosphere as you rarely hear anything other than the wildlife. You feel worlds away from the hustle of Cruz Bay and yet it is an easy drive to town for restaurants and shopping. All the best North Shore beaches are just minutes away as well. The private road leading to the villa is a treat as the foliage and views are so beautiful! The home is well appointed with many "extra's". The kitchen has everything a cook might need and there is no better dining location than the balcony! Great beach chairs, coolers and tons of towels were appreciated as this is not always the case even at the nicest of homes. We found "Villa Azul" very clean and well maintained. Diana was very helpful, kind and always answered her phone! (no worries, we just had a question or two). We are most grateful for the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful home and hope to return for another stay soon! Thank you so much Diana for helping to make it all possible!
