Please note that our condo association agreement limits occupancy in our condo to six people. We do not take reservations for more than six, so please don't ask us to. Frankly, any more than that wouldn't be very comfortable for you anyway. As much as we'd like to accommodate you, we'd rather that you be comfortable and that we stay in the good graces of our condo association....moreless

One of the up and coming resort areas on the Mexican Riviera. Nice beach and surfing with outdoor cafes and art galleries and shops. Easily accessible by car or bus. Makes for a good day trip with San Pancho.
One of the newer restaurants in Nuevo Vallarta, it's within walking distance of the condo. Turn left out of the main gate and it's across the street on the right. Great nouveau Mexican cuisine and nice ambience.
Paradise Village's championship 18-hole golf course. Plenty of sand and water, iguanas sunning themselves on the rocks and the occasional crocodile. Make tee times at the concierge in the Tower 3 lobby especially if you're visiting during the high season. Take the shuttle from the front gate.
A great place to visit on your first night. You can get dinner (Brazilian, Sankay Sushi, Domino's, Subway, McDonalds) to make things easy, go to Sunset Market to stock up on groceries (you can even get one of the kids that works there haul your groceries home for you!), or book your first day's activities. Turn right out of the main gate and it's a short walk just outside of the Paradise Village gate.
Once you've registered at the Tower 3 front desk, you can go anywhere on the resort and charge meals, drinks and activities to your account (without your wrist band they might not let you in). Great restaurants include Il Pescatore (Italian seafood) and Tulum (great brunch). The resort also offers special dining events each night.
A really nice Italian restaurant on the Marina. Located at Plaza Neptuno. Reservations recommended. There's also one near the Paradise Village resort but we haven't tried this one and it's nice to get out and walk around the marina before or after dinner anyway. Accessible by taxi or water taxi from Paradise Village.
An authentic Mexican seafood restaurant. Great fresh seafood at fantastic prices. Bring cash and get there early as they don't take credit cards or reservations and they close early. Frequented by locals and tourists alike, it's a great experience. Take a taxi to Plaza Neptuno at the Marina or water taxi from Paradise Village. Reservations are recommended for the water taxi during high season and you'll have to take a cab back unless you go really early.
The old Puerto Vallarta boardwalk. Worth a cab ride or water taxi on at least one night during your stay. Souvenir shopping, great food, live entertainment (sand sculpting, trapeze artists and mimes), night clubs and people-watching are among the attractions here. Too many restaurant choices to name although Daiquiri Dick's has always been one of our favorites. About a 30 minute cab ride depending on time of year and time of day (about 200 pesos each way). During high season, we usually take the water taxi from the Paradise Village marina and cab back. A little more expensive to take the water taxi but can be quicker and offers a beautiful view of the city.
A nice sports bar right across the street from Playa Royale. Great for a first or last night when you're too tired or too busy to explore. Also the best place to see sporting events like the NCAA tourney, NFL and NHL as you won't find them on the local cable network.
Access to all Paradise Village amenities including El Tigre golf, beach club, sports center & spa, health club & spa, restaurants with optional purchase of social membership at front desk. Discounts on all purchases on account applied at check out.
Year Purchased: 2005
About the owner: The owners, John Dobey and Fran Marshall, live in Evergreen, Colorado in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains about 30 minutes west of Denver.
Why the Owner Chose Playa Royale: We visited numerous locations in Mexico and the Caribbean before deciding that Puerto Vallarta offered the convenience, charm and amenities that made it our favorite destination.
We bought at Playa Royale because of its proximity to the airport, the convenience of a three-hour direct flight from Denver, the fabulous amenities available as part of the Paradise Village resort, the impeccable service of the staff and its family-friendly atmosphere.
With a private beach away from the bustle and traffic of downtown Puerto Vallarta, it is still easy to get to downtown for shopping, dining and night life which we make a point of doing at least once every time we visit. Marina Vallarta and other destinations on the North Shore are also easily accessible by taxi or car.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo: We love the fact that we can be on the beach within an hour of arriving at the airport. We can walk to the mall or restaurants on the resort or nearby.
We have come to know many of the people who work at the front desk, administrative offices and the beach club and treat us like family when we visit.
Maybe the best thing about Playa Royale is you can do exactly as much or as little as you want while you're here. If you are a golfer, the championship El Tigre course is a quick shuttle ride from the front gate, or you can play at any of the other great courses in the area. If you like tennis, working out, swimming laps, aerobics, etc., the state-of-the art health club offers all of it on a daily fee basis or as part of your weekly social membership.
If you are into parasailing, jet skiing, and other water sports, you can enjoy them all just a short walk down the beach. There's also plenty of sightseeing, ATV tours, zip lining, whaling, deep sea fishing, bull fights and other activities that you can arrange either with the concierge or on the resort.
Or if you'd rather just soak in the sun, read a book and enjoy lunch and a cold beverage on the beach or by the pool, the beach club staff is always available to attend to your every need.
