This is a great weekend getaway for couples who want to enjoy the best of Malibu without paying the price. This designer studio features high beam ceilings, beautiful mountain views, and is minutes away from our community private beach and club. We also are walking distance from our private tennis courts, which are located in a tranquil mountain setting. The studio is fully furnished with a queen sized bed, couches and seating area. For those interested in boogie boarding, we have boards available upon request. We are ten minutes away from the famous Malibu Colony, where you can find some of the best shopping, restaurants, and surfing in California. We are also just thirty minutes from some of the biggest name brand outlet stores in the country, i.e. Ralph Lauren, Coach, Neiman Marcus, etc. Thirty minutes in the opposite direction is exciting Santa Monica.

My fiance and I stayed in the studio for 2 nights over the New Years weekend and were very pleasantly surprised with the quality and comfort of the space. It has everything you need and nothing you don't! We were warmly greeted by our hosts, and the ran thru everything from the area amenities (i wish we had had the time to hit the private beach!) to how to work the remote for the TV. The studio is super comfortable, with its high ceilings and well thought out layout. The bed is amazingly comfy and the shower had awesome pressure. On warm nights you can kick back in privacy on the little patio and check out the Malibu stars. I would recommend this place to everyone!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

I stayed here with my fiance and we found the place to be very charming. The beach was beautiful in September, and only a 15 minute walk away. We spent the majority of time there and loved it. John and Karen were very helpful, and answered any questions we had, they even lent us tennis rackets to go play on the private court. I would recommend this propertyRecommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway.

We stayed here over the weekend for our third anniversary. It was lovely. John and Karen were great -- made the studio welcoming, offered us bikes and tennis rackets, and gave us fabulous restaurant suggestions (Geoffrey's, the Sage Room, and Savory). The little private beach (2 min drive, 15 min walk) is charming, right off the north end of Zuma Beach. Note that there is no air conditioning (so far as we could tell) but the overhead fan and windows are effective and quiet -- and we were super comfortable (in October). Don't miss Point Dume State Beach!!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway.

This terrific space was so relaxing and comfortable. The artwork added to the sense of luxury. We thought the private beach was spectacular. The dolphins really amazed us. Sunset in Malibu is everything we imagined. It was just the mini vacation we needed.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway.

About the owner: My wife and I have owned this little piece of paradise for thirteen years. As world travelers, we've been inspired by all of the hotels we've visited throughout the world and have tried to reflect that throughout the property.
Why the Owner Chose Malibu:
Malibu is as good as it gets in Los Angeles. Great weather, beautiful panoramic views of mountains, and plenty of wildlife.
The Unique Benefits at this Studio:
The design of our home is based on a hotel we stayed at when we were in the country of Burma. It is southeast asian in design and furnishings, as well as landscaping. It's very peaceful at night, and the stars glow in the sky like diamonds. The only sounds you hear at night are the wildlife.
