  Had a great weekend at Pura Vida! The home is very nice and clean. Pictures and description on the internet were accurate! Loved our time on the beach, at the pool, playing tennis and just all being together! Great place for our family of 8 adults and the most adorable grandson ever! Loved eating at Sunrise Cafe in Galveston and shopping on the Strand. Can't wait to return! Thanks for sharing your place with us!

  House was very clean and up to date. Owner was clear and communicative with us and there were no surprises. Enjoyed the open kitchen and my kids had a blast. Safe neighborhood and short walk to the private beach. Couldn't have asked for more!

  Recommended for: Families with young children.

  I like to support our local economy so our family vacation is usually on Galveston Beach. I usually pick first row homes on our vacation, so this one was a little out of the norm for me. We all loved it. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly. The home accomodated 4 adults and 4 children perfectly. We did rent a golf cart from one of the local businesses and that was extremely useful on the all day at the beach days where we had our family + tents/chairs/coolers, etc. The description and photos are right on target, the property was very clean and the kitchen was chef friendly. We spent one day on the strand just to take a break from the strand and did some touristy things as well as eating at our favorite restaurants. I would certainly consider renting this home again, obviously recommend to family and friends. Have fun! Ciao!

  Our stay at Pura Vida was excellent. The house was very clean and well equipped. Our family of 5 had no trouble having enough space, but the house could have easily accommodated twice that. The location was on the quiet side of the island, but close enough to attractions, stores, and services that it was not a problem to do what we wanted. Our favorite feature was the wrap-around deck. The combination of shade and constant breeze made this space a very popular area. I spent hours there from morning coffee to a glass of wine in the evening. We even picked up fresh Red Snapper at the seafood market across the street and grilled it over charcoal. Wonderful! I'd recommend the Galveston Island pass to those who want to see some area attractions and save money. We liked the pocket beach #2 and the Galveston Island State Park. Lots of good food options in the area to try. Because the house is a pretty new listing, there are some basic things you might expect, but not find, such as salt & pepper, ketchup, etc. We also have come to expect things such as a notebook with information on area things to see and do ... comments and tips. We ended up relying on yelp.com and galveston.com mostly. Despite the little nit-pick, it was a wonderful experience, and I would not hesitate to recommend to family and friends.

  The house was great. We were two families with kids and were super comfortable. Had a great time on the deck outside playing games in the evening and the boys loved the basketball hoop. One of the most relaxing vacations we've had in a long time. Thanks!!

  This home has a very good floor plan. Modern kitchen and a wonderful large balcony eating area. It is kid friendly complete with little ones table and chairs and family board games. It's warm, inviting, decorated in a pleasant not overdone style. Kitchen is well stocked and the pantry and laundry are really handy. My favorite part is the super comfy king bed upstairs with nice white linens and how really clean this home is kept. I found the owner to be very helpful and hospitiable.

  First of all your beach home is AWESOME!! Every time a family member would arrive they were walking around saying "WOW". It's been a long time since the family has taken a weekin get-a-way with Mom Dad the four kids and their families. One thing for sure we all agreed we are definitely doing this again.

  Great place to escape to. Very clean and well maintained. Not far from great restaurants and the beach. The other part I enjoyed was that the beach was not overcrowded. It's far enough from the main beach areas but close driving distance to downtown Galveston. Will stay here again and will recommend to friends.

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
