One look and you'll know why "Dr. Beach" declared it America's #1 beach. At first glance, be amazed at the splendid serenity, then look for the dolphins jumping in the surf, and come again and again for the magnificent sunsets over the sparkling water.
This isn't the overdeveloped crush and hurried pace of Central and South Florida. It is THE antidote to the busy lives we as Americans are consumed with. Whether alone, with a best friend, or your family; this is the place to reconnect with nature and each other.

OK, so your curious about the rest of the area. Go explore. There's shopping, galleries, restaurants, and more stretching from Mexico Beach through Port St. Joe past Eastpoint and St. George Island to Appalachicola with it's historic homes to Carrabelle. All within an hour drive. Slightly further and you can take a guided a boat trip at Wakulla Springs and see an incredible amount and variety of birds and my favorite, the alligators.
I've had the good fortune to travel in over 30 countries and have been visiting Florida for as many years. However, when my wife brought me to Barrier Dunes on Cape San Blas, I knew we'd found something special.
