Conveniently located in Kanab is the Water Wheel House. With 3 spacious bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a great fenced yard on a corner lot, this really is a great place to stay.
Enjoy the stunning views in all directions. Have a short hike into Tom’s canyon or dip into the complimentary indoor or outdoor swimming pool or hot tub.
The house accommodates up to 6 persons in spacious rooms with comfortable beds. The master bedroom, which is not adjacent to the other bedrooms thus offering much privacy, has a private bathroom with double sinks, a garden tub, a walk in shower and a walk in closet. The french doors give access to the yard and a stunning view of red rock. The master bedroom has a private 32 inch LCD TV. A separate full bathroom is provided for the two guest bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed. In the guest bedrooms you wil find a queen size bed and two twin sized beds.
The large covered patio offers great views of the surrounding red rock while protecting you form the sun or rain. The yard is completely fenced off with a 5 feet tall fence to protect children and pets.
Bring your own pets, or if you are volunteering at the famous Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, have your sleepovers enjoy the large fenced yard or take them to a walk at the complimentary dog park.

Our stay at the Water Wheel House was smooth from start to finish. The owner is quick to respond to inquiries and very professional. The house is beautiful, very new, clean and comfortable. It is conveniently located near hiking and running trails, and pet-friendly, with a fenced back yard, pet bedding, toys and even a dog crate. We would highly recommend this house if you are staying in Kanab while visiting Best Friends, or exploring the nearby National Parks.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We spent 9 wonderful days at the Water Wheel House. First of all, the home was perfectly located for our day trips to: 1. North Rim of the Grand Canyon; 2. Zion; 3. Bryce; 4. Capital Reef; 5. Cedar Breaks; and 6. Antelope Canyon. The home is very elegant. It has a spacious comfortable feel, the kitchen is one a Chef would enjoy, the patio with Red Rock views is perfect for your sunrise coffee and that sunset glass of wine. The owner seems to have thoughtfully provided everything you might need. This home was so inviting and comfortable that as our days were winding down we wished that an extension to our stay was possible. We look forward to returning in the future. I want to mention that the owner and caretaker, although not having personally met, seem to be the nicest people possible to deal with. Your review My wife and I stayed in this lovely house for one week. Only good things to say....... modern, clean, comfortable, very well-equipped with everything we needed, lovely view of mountains. Also, very pet friendly for somebody who is travelling with a 4-legged member of the family. Gave us a feeling of "home away from home" after a long, full day of touring we looked forward to coming back to the house.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Water Wheel House exceeded our expectations. It comfortably accommodated our young family and aging parents. It is a maticulously clean home with all the amenities needed to make your stay feel like home. The neighborhood is quiet, neighbors friendly, and the pools and club house were both clean and with-in walking distance. There were also hiking trails connected right next to the subdivision. Kanab boasts a quant western air, is centrally located to all of the major national parks, and even has a fun city park with plenty of shade and fun for the kids. I am going to recommend this home to anyone who expresses an interest in visiting Utah.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Perfect location for exploring Zion, Bryce, Escalante and even Page. House is beautiful and in a ideal setting. Master bedroom is separated from other bedrooms, which is nice. Kitchen has new appliances and living area is very comfortable. Back yard overlooks the red cliffs and is a beautiful setting. In beautiful Kanab, Utah this home is in a quiet area with beautiful views of the red cliffs. Upon entering this retreat, I immediately felt at home and at ease. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very spa-like. I enjoyed being so close to Zion National Park and the Best Friends Animal Rescue facility. The areas around the home were well suited to taking strolls and enjoying the mild climate. This house is a great place to stay if you are going to be in the Kanab area. The property was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies, everything we needed was there including a garlic press....impressive! We rented this home for a week over the holidays and we had a wonderful stay! The house is beautiful and well appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable experience. It's in a great location minutes away from Best Friends sanctuary and a short drive to both Zion and Bryce. There were even great views and good hiking right in the neighborhood. About the owner: We, Lia and Edward, are Dutch citizens who fell in love with the high desert of the south west from the moment we experienced it. In Kanab our love for the scenery and animals came together as we discovered Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, just 5 miles north of Kanab. After many trips to the high deserts and wonderful weeks spent volunteering at Best Friends, we felt that Kanab was a place where we would feel at home. The scenery, the animals and the people we met all contributed to the next move: the decision to buy a home in Kanab. As ‘aliens’ we can only stay for a limited time in the USA so that is why we offer our home to visitors like you so that you can experience and enjoy this beautiful place as much as we do. Why the Owner Chose Kanab:
The stunning scenery and the presence of the famous Best Friends Animal Sanctuary made this the right place for our second home. Add to this a small town with friendly people and a surprisingly rich choice of restaurants and, by the way, did we mention it is in the middel of many great National Parks like Grand canyon, Zion and Bryce?
"This is the land of the Wizard of Awes. It is a land of make-believe and disbelieve . It is not of this world nor is it of any other - yet it is there. The people who live in it do not believe it, even when they see it in movies, even when they see it all around them. The most uncommon place in the world is to them commonplace, and what happened there never happened at all. Or did it?" - These were the word a magazine writer used to describe Kanab and Kane County back in the 1940s.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We watch the sun rise and set form the front or back patio and listen to the silence. We enjoy the humming birds around the house or the deer in woods. We hike into Tom's canyon or on K-mountain which are just a few steps form the house. And at the same time, downtown restaurants and shops are just 1 mile form the house. We make day trips to Zion, Bryce, Duck Creek, Lake Powell or the Grand Canyon.
And after volunteering at best Friends, we return to a cozy, comfortable house and may just take a dive into the swimming pool.
