  A great little town convenient to shopping. The house had more then enough room and bathrooms for all of us. The owner greeted us at check in, very pleasant lady and gave us helpful hints of places to visit. We had a family reunion and the house was able to accommodate everyone. Some of the family members stayed in nearby hotels and spent most of their time with us at the house. We rented a boat with a Captain to take us out on a tour of the river. We had a pleasant stay and look forward to coming back for Jazz Fest.

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  We arrived a little early and met with housekeeping, which I was glad as they showed us how to operate the flat screen and surround sound system, where the towels were located (in the linen closet) and how to prime the jacuzzi tubs start button. This house is big, roomy and clean. We enjoyed the oranges and water that were left for us. I enjoyed my mornings bird watching and sipping coffee in the rocking chair on the back porch.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+.

  The younger children were able to play and roam. This house is located on a cul-de-sac in a safe area. We enjoyed using the fishing poles that were provided to fish from the backyard. We hope to visit soon. Thank you Courtney for supplying us with the boat rental information and resturants in the area.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  Lots of room! Everything smelled fresh and clean. Enjoyed the extras-fresh flowers on the table and oranges in the basket. We visited the Gulf area with family. Had a family dinner at the house and accommodated everyone.

  The house was not clean as I thought it should be. I think we were the first people who have rented in a long long time. There was a very musty smell especially when you first walk in but it was covered up by a lot of plug ins. We had 10 people coming down for a football game in New Orleans. Luckily only two of us went down the first day, because when we woke up Friday morning to take showers the hot water heater was messed up. Went to fill the garden tub for a bath did not get 3 inches of water and it was ice cold. It would stay hot for about 10 minutes then cold. Called all three numbers that I was given all day long nothing but voice mail. Finally got someone about 2, it was the owner. She told me nothing was wrong with it because she stayed there the night before. But I keep telling her there was a problem she sent someone out about 3:30. He said he thought it was overheated because we had left the flood lights on. I guess he thought because I was a woman I was stupid. So he came up stairs turned on the water said it is fine. He left went to take shower the water was cold.I called back again still no answer, finally about 7pm the owner called and said the repair man and herself would be back, they came about 8pm. She was very ugly with me I got upset she said don't get upset with me I don't have a heart it don't bother me. The repair man brought breakers for the hot water heater changed them and said he thinks it was the element and would be back Saturday around noon to fix. So they fixed the problem but it was two days into our stay and I don't think that was very fair. Who wants to pay this much money and have cold showers. Would not recommend this property.

  Owner response: The water heater did go out and was fixed the same day you called. The house was immaculate and I am surprised you did not mentioned anything when I asked you "if everything else was ok". Your reply was everything is fine we just need hot water. The Vacationers before you checked out on January 4th and you checked in on the 5th of January. I know you were upset for having to pay a pet deposit or facing eviction because you failed to mentioned you had a dog and did not read your contract, which you had to have your son read, as you did not want to pay the pet deposit.

$100 cleaning fee and additional charge over 8 guest. $25 for 3 nights stay and $50 per guest over 3 nights. $149 deposit ($100 refundable)
