  This was one of the best cabins I have stayed at in the Smokies. Location was great, secluded, quiet and peaceful. Cousins came from Pensylvania, Kentucky, and Georgia and everyone was pleased with the cabin. Cabin was clean, photos accurately reflected the cabin. Owner was very courteous and helpful, and was easily accessible by phone if we needed anything. We had no [roblems with the cabin during our stay there. There were firplaces on every level which we enjoyed using early in the morning to warm the cabin. Plenty of room on the deck which went completely around the cabin. We had a raccoon visit us a couple of nights.

  My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Lodge. It was eay to get to and near enough to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge that made going into towns close. Fireplaces, hot tubs and enough bathrooms for all of us. I highly recommend this cabin to anyone needing a really great place to spend a mountain vacation.

  We had a great time at Big Bear Lodge! The cabin was very clean and we had plenty of room to spread out. I would definitely stay there again. We loved how the cabin was decorated to Christmas!! Nice touch.

  We really enjoyed our stay at Big Bear Lodge. We have 10 family members and the house was perfect size and well kept. The house was as described and the pictures are very accurate. We enjoyed hiking around the property as well as going to the National Park. We were very close to all attractions. The view was amazing. I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the mountains to get away.

  My extended family of 19 had a wonderful stay while in Gatlinburg at this cabin! The space was open and comfortable. I would recommend this cabin to anyone! We hope to return there again this year. The family was so easy to work with - it made the stay even more enjoyable. Do not hesitate to book your stay here!

  Great place to stay! The home is very clean, comfortable, and cozy. My family enjoyed it very much so, plenty of room. We would book this cabin again for future family reunions.

  Had problems from the start. The microwave quit the first night and the ref shelves were broken (2 of the 3 shelves) which made stocking the ref for 11 people challenging, I called 1st thing next morning and was told they would have someone ASAP. We told them what was wrong because of the fault code on the microwave, we understood they could not have shelves replaced but doing without a MW for 3 days and with 11 people was .unexceptable. It took 2 days for someone to show up just to tell us it was broken. Management didn't even call me to apolizied .....The windows have only thin sheers on them and people on the deck can see in doing the day and night even in the bathroom window.

  Owner response: I am so sorry to hear you feel this way. Unfortunately, we can't control when things may break and we do our best to fix these issues to the best of our ability and as quickly as possible. When we spoke with you, we let you know that we would contact our maintenance person asap and see when he could make it out there. Unfortunately he had more urgent issues in Knoxville and couldn't make it until the next morning...which I called to let you know this. You had also informed us that the microwave was in fact working, just acting up and giving you issues with error messages. After inspection, the microwave wasn't fixable, and replacing with a new one wasn't feasible until after your check-out. Our sincere apologies, but unfortunately things like this happen that can't be controlled. On the other hand, you did bring up the refrigerator shelves, which were not broken before your check-in. There was a bin that was cracked and in need of replacing, but other than that they were all in-tact after the check-out ahead of you. Our housekeeper does an amazing job of keeping track of every minor detail before and after each reservation. It was also very dissapointing to find that the carpets in the lower-level and stairways were stained very badly upon your departure. We had to hire a special carpet cleaning service to remove all the stains. We have not had a complaint about the thickness of the curtains, but it is something that we will look into and see about switching out. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. We understand that as a renter you are putting alot of trust into the words of the owners/management as well as the pictures that are posted. We portray our cabin as truthfully as possible and are available to answer any questions that may arise. In the same breath, this is our home. And we too are putting alot of trust into our guests that it will be treated with respect.

  This cabin was wonderful. Plenty of room for everyone and. Grandma really appreciated the handicap accessible bathroom. There were plenty of pots, pans, dishes, towels, etc. the only thing we had to adapt to was the drop in water pressure. A little scheduling took care of that. We would definetly consider staying here again.

  The chalet is beautiful. The listing boasts 6.5 baths but does not tell you that only one shower can be taken at a time, or dishwasher running, or hose to the hot tub. We rented it based on the number of people per bathroom but it ended up being a hassle with only one, sometimes two with a trickle of water to be able to take showers at a time. Everything else was great.

  Owner response: I am so sorry you had trouble with the water! Sometimes when it rains alot the filters need to be changed more frequently. We encourage all our renters to call at anytime with any issues. We would have been able to come and fix the problem right away if we would have known you were having issues. :( We do take pride in the fact that we have 6 bedrooms that each have a private bath; and yes, typically all showers can be running at the same time with absolutley no problems. Unfortunately, we cannot account for mother nature or fix problems when we are unaware that they exist. I am so sincerely sorry you were not 100% happy with your stay...I wish you would have called so that we could have resolved the issue for you right away. I completely understand your frusteration, there is nothing more irritating than low water pressure...I for one enjoy a very long, hot shower every morning! I'm glad the rest of your stay was enjoyable! :)
