  This place was great for our family. It was certainly as advertised. Richard met us there the night of our check in(even though we did not arrive until after 9pm) and showed us everything we needed to know. The central location was perfect as we were just minutes from Universal Studios and Hollywood. We also made the short commute to Dodger Stadium and Santa Monica Beach. Richard was very helpful and prompt with the few minor issues that popped up. The house is cozy, but there was plenty of space(and beds) for our family of eight. The adult couples enjoyed the two separate bedrooms(one of which has a separate entrance to the outdoor hot tub), while our teenage daughters thought the 2 lofts upstairs were pretty neat. The home is in a neighborhood, but the backyard has a secluded feel. While the kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub the adults could sit out on the deck. We would highly recommend this place for families who are looking for a comfortable vacation home. We have stayed in many VRBO locations and this one was ranks as one of our better experiences.

  We've stayed in probably 50 VRBO's and this was one of the very best VRBO experiences we have ever had. This is a warm and inviting home filled with eclectic art and design; lovely and comfortable furniture and the very best property owner we have ever done business with. Richard ensured in every way that our stay was as comfortable and memorable as possible. Every time I'd throw a clink in our planning, he responded with "No worries,,," We loved spreading out in this clean and well-maintained home. Teenager texting in her bedroom; young grandson building puzzles on one of the many tables; hubby playing guitar on the patio; me reading and taking naps in a multitude of choices. This is a very quiet neighborhood and with the automatic gate, we felt completely safe in the "big city". All of this with a pool and hot tub, too! Wow. Pinch us... This was a restful, relaxing place to spend a vacation. And here we thought we came to see Legoland, Disneyland, beach and Hollywood! :-)

  I really can't think of enough nice things to say about Richard's property. We had seven people in our party (2 teens, 3 kids, and 2 adults) and we all had a great time. The home is very cozy and slept all of us nicely. Beds were comfy, rooms were cozy and the pool and Spa were relaxing. And to top it all off, Richard is a great person;he is someone that I would definatley have as a friend. Our vacation started off sort of like the "Griswolds", we were very worried about sending so much money to someone we had never met and constantly emailed Richard with our concerns and questions to validate the rental. Without hesitation, Richard always replied promptly and eased our worries. Then on the vacation we locked ourselves out of the rental and once again, with no hiccups, Richard ensured we were taken care of. He is a respectful and easy to work with gentleman. Do not let the first impression get to you as you pull up. At first sight, we thought it was going to be small and cramped, once inside though, it was great. The charm is very fascinating also as there are many pieces from the past that add to the charm. There were several things there for us already such as kitchenware, bbq grill, a few spices, coffee pot, ecspresso machine and some dry goods. I would highly recommend getting settled before going shopping. People in the neighborhood were also very pleasant as I would head out early in the morning a few times, I received many "good mornings" and "how are you". I would highly recommend this rental and based on the expierence with Richard, any of his properties (even though I have never stayed at them).

  I would like to echo what Ruth said. We really enjoyed the house. Richard was there to meet us and if we had any problems he came right over to take care of it and did it at a time when we were not there so as not to intrude on our vacation. The home was very comfortable and room enough for four adults and two kids to stay. We did have a couple problems with the gate, but that was easily fixed. The showers tended to not keep a consistent hot or cold temperature. They kept fluctuating between the two, but if that's the worst thing that happened during our stay, I would say the house could be considered almost perfect! I visit LA very often and will be looking to hopefully rent his home again. He is great to work with and answered any questions we had in the time leading up to our arrival. With two kids along, the TV in every room was great to have. You know how kids and TV can be. Thanks again Richard for a great stay!

  This was my first experience renting a vacation house, and I'll never use a hotel again! The house was exactly what we saw online and Richard was wonderful! We had a few issues with the gate and he patiently came over to fix it. (It turned out to be the rain-not the gate.) It was such a lovely home to come back to after a long day of sight seeing! We had plenty of space and the kids loved staying upstairs. I would recommend this home and location to anyone heading to Los Angeles. It is very close to Burbank (which was great, I even did the Burbank Turkey Trot race while there!) It didn't even take us an hour to get to Disneyland. There are several grocery stores within a few miles as well. I can't wait to go back!
