Year Purchased: 1999
About the owner: I am the eldest of 3 daughters of the owner and serve as current manager of the condo. Following the death of our father in 2008, our mother moved into an assisted living facility near me in Orlando, FL. My parents instilled in me a strong work ethic and a love of family, church, camping, traveling, reading, and music. I have been an educator for 33 years, married for 34 years, and blessed with 3 children and 3 grandchildren. I lead an extremely hectic life working full-time, helping care for my mother and her condo, attending church activities, camping, completing my doctorate in Special Education and cuddling with my Chihuahuas Sassy and Sweet Pea.
Why the Owner Chose Edgewater:
This Pelican Sound condo was the primary home of our retired parents from 1999-2008. They selected Pelican Sound in Estero as they believed the development offered a variety of luxurious amenities, gorgeous architecture, and luscious landscaping. Our parents loved living full time at Pelican Sound as it provided beautiful weather 12 months of the year, and convenient access to shopping, medical facilities, museums, and restaurants.

Pelican Sound provides the opportunity to enjoy a vast array of activities such as canoeing, sailing, tennis, swimming, golf, hiking, exercising, and kayaking. A particularly entertaining excursion exclusive to Pelican Sound is the free boat shuttle that takes visitors down the scenic Estero River to Lover’s Key Island. Another benefit I enjoy is the ability to enjoy a leisure lunch or dinner at either of the onsite River Club or Golf Club restaurants. My favorite activity, however, is to simply relax in the condo and take pleasure in the serenity and spectacular sunsets.
