This house was absolutely breath-taking! We enjoyed the beautiful lake views and the immaculate condition of the home. The owners definitely take great care of this vacation home. Our family goes to the PineTop area every winter to allow our children to play in the snow, and we would absolutely choose this home again. Aside from it all, the owner was as sweet as pie and even called to check on us upon our arrival. Great place to rent! You will not be disappointed in this beautiful home. We went up with two other couples that I didn't show pictures of the home. One of my friends cried with excitement, the home was so lovely. Bring only your toothbrush and your clothes. The home is filled with everything you need to prepare a wonderful meal, all the pots, pans, blender, utensils you can dream. It was such a comfortable home, with every couple having plenty of room in their private bedroom with private bath. Beautiful lake view and we were lucky enough to enjoy the first snow of the season. We had such a wonderful time we will defiantly book this home again. Well worth every penny. Thank you again for the most relaxing weekend.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

This beautiful home was everything the owners described plus more. It was in a quiet area with limited access to the general public. The well landscaped yard was wonderful for strolling, with fruit trees and gardens, and the pines in the area made for a peaceful setting. The circular driveway was handy for manuevering our vehicles. The home was luxurious. We spent each morning with our coffee looking out over the lake. The large dining room was well used for many different activities: playing games; watching wildlife; preparing meals, etc. We delighted in sitting on the porch and on the bench on the private dock many times during our stay. Use of the kayaks was wonderful as well. The owner went well above and beyond in emailing and sending additional pictures as we had a handicapped member of the family with special mobility needs. This place is one that our family would definitely love to stay again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

Beautiful house in idyllic setting. Room for everyone. Two masters (one up, one down), each with patio/balconey overlooking the dock and lake. Nice entertainment system. Big kitchen. Private dock. We kayaked a lot! My wife and I woke up each morning to a beautiful scene out our French doors: ducks and geese on the lake, giant pines, the sun providing that magical warm morning light, perfect for photography. The location is very close to White Mountain Highway, but you'll never hear traffic. Antique stores are nearby and you're only about 10 minutes from the casino. Really beautiful. The owners were exceedingly gracious and easy to work with. We really hated to leave. You will, too, but you'll be awfully glad you went!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

My family stayed at this home for a week in June. My two daughters and sons in law, my three year old triplet grandchildren, (two boys and a girl) my nine month old granddaughter,a friend and my 101 year old mother, yes you read that right. So we had every age covered. First, the home is beautiful ( or I should say "pretty", because when we went out shopping, my granddaughter would say, "can we go back to the pretty house now?")and spacious to give all of us enough room. The upstairs master suite was especially nice. The spot on the lake is perfect. My mother was very reluctant to take the five hour trip from Tucson but she was a trouper. She especially loved sitting on the front porch. She has trouble hearing and seeing but she was out there every day with her cup of tea and english muffin. She knits dishcloths and spent time doing that. It was wonderful for all of us to be together there. She said the night before we left, "I am going to live another year so I can come back here next summer". That was quite telling of her time there. There were so many things to keep us busy as well as relaxing. The first morning we were there we went down on the dock and there to great us were a momma duck and her three ducklings. It was perfect, the triplets named them after themselves. So that was how each day began, by going to the dock and feeding the triplet ducklings. We watched them grow a bit as the week went on because without fail they were there every morning. The triplets were outfitted with their own mini fishing poles, which we were all thrilled that they ALL actually caught a fish. And they immediately wanted them back in the lake. We rented a row boat with a small motor and took all the kids for rides. We also took them in the kayaks. My friend and I paddled around the lake every morning with our camera and got some great pictures. We played some tennis, took hikes on the hiking trails, took walks around the lake home, had a fire in the fire pit at night and had a wonderful time on the large front porch. We all spent a lot of time there. We had perfect weather. Our last night was special, we were treated with a wonderful thunderstorm and we all sat on the porch to watch. If anyone is looking to have an experience like ours, then this is the perfect place. Thank you Louise for sharing your home.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

Every year, my family gets together for a summer and this was the first year we stayed at this house. The house is up-to-date and has access to the lake right out the back door. There were plenty of kayaks and a canoe for the family. The best part was sitting on the dock drinking coffee in the morning and watching the bird fly over the water and the three owls in the tree next to the dock. This is the house we would like to stay at again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children.

Our family of seven spent a wonderful six days beside Rainbow Lake. The house is so comfortable, well-maintained and beautifully decorated. We loved going out in the kayaks, fishing off the dock or just sitting on the deck watching the beautiful environment. We saw foxes, osprey, ducks with their ducklings, fish jumping---what a peaceful and charming home. Even though it was in the mid-90's during the day (3 days of heat)(which I believe is unusual), it cooled off in the evenings to the point we needed blankets! Nirvana. There are good restaurants (Charlie Clark's was delish!), shopping and movies within 15 minutes of the house. We went to the Farmer's Market in Show Low, Art in the Orchard (an arts and crafts festival) in Pinetop...there is always something going on. On the practical side: the kitchen was great, having FOUR bathrooms was as good as it gets and Louise so easy to work with. We would have stayed longer if time was available.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway.

Everything you go to Pinetop to enjoy is at your fingertips in this luxurious waterfront property in a gated community. There are two master suites with whirlpool tubs and panoramic views of the lake, a gourmet kitchen and every creature comfort you would want. We have stayed in several cabin/homes in the area but this one sets the standard. If you are looking for mountain luxury, peace and serenity look no further. We just returned from a wonderful week long stay and look forward to returning.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

Owner info
About the owner: WE have had a home in the White Mountains since our children were small. Now we are thrilled to have 3 generations come up and enjoy the winter and summer fun.
Why the Owner Chose Pinetop-Lakeside:
This is a beautiful area. We wanted to be on a lake and yet near a town. This place is perfect! It is not far from Sunrise Ski area and was especially nice when my husband was on the Ski Patrol. He still skis every chance he gets!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Time to kick back, R & R, We can be as busy as we want with activities or can veg out and read sitting by the fire in the winter enjoying the winter wonderland. In the summer we hike, kayak, fish, and spend lots of time on the deck enjoying sunrises and sunsets. In every season, there is always something to view on the lake. There are many kinds of ducks, swans, Canadian geese. We see eagles, heron, many osprey, owls, little foxes, and sometimes those darn beavers who love our trees along the lake. We love the special times here with our children, grandchildren and friends year round. In summer there is fun on the lake and in winter, skiing and snow activities. Holidays are always a delight here.
