The place was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The only suggestion I would have would be to add a handle and a non-slip mat in the shower. My elderly father almost fell. Other than that the price was very good. The view was outstanding. All amenities are provided so you only need your luggage. Thanks again for a wonderful stay at your place and we will be back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thanks for the suggestion on the nonslip mat. I had been considering putting one in and now I definitely will make one available and guests can choose to use it if they want. I'll also check into the feasibility of putting in a handle. I'm glad you enjoyed the stay and I appreciate the feedback.

Naomi rented this for us (mom and dad) so we could check my mom out of assisted living and cook a couple of dinners for her and spend some quiet and private time. This house was absolutely perfect; cozy and very clean. The kitchen is well appointed and the owner met us and said if you need anything at all, just call (she lives very close by). We had a great time, completely hassle free and were able to just relax and have fun. This home is a great getaway.Recommended for: Age 55+.

I could not be happier with our stay at the Cottage! It was hands down the best value for your money! It was extremely clean and cozy, with plenty of room for us (4 adults) The owners have thought of, and supplied everything you need for your stay- from dishes to linens- shampoo & even a hairdryer! Great location too- close to town, the ferry, and an easy drive to Hurricane Ridge etc. We will definitely be renting again for out next visit (we have family out there & visit often), and would recommend the cottage to anyone needing a place to stay in Port Angeles. Absolutely fantastic!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

My family and I found this VRBO property to be outstanding. Marie was incredibly helpful, both before and during our stay. We found the location in Port Angeles to be perfect... quiet area and easy to find. Great location for driving to various spots in Olympic NP or hopping on the ferry to Victoria (both highly recommended). The house was clean and the beds were excellent. The quality for the price was simply outstanding. Would recommend this place to anyone.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

Thank you for letting us use the cottage on 4th for our visitors. We needed a place to put people up when they came to town to work on our film. The cottage was a perfect place for our needs. People were very comfortable and it was easy for out of towners to find. The owners were very kind and helpful with any questions we had. We will definitely book the cottage again if the need arises. Thank you :)Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Our whole experience with this listing was great. Before we arrived, Marie was welcoming, informative and very helpful, and was just the same in person. The cottage is located in a quiet part of Port Angeles, really, really convenient to the marina, downtown and to the sights. The cottage itself is wonderful - spacious, pristine, decorated simply and well, with everything you could need for a long or short stay (no iron nor hair dryer). There are three bedrooms, the spacious master upstairs, two downstairs, a large living room, eat-in kitchen, with separate eating area, separate room for washer and dryer, and a bathroom downstairs. Everything has been recently furnished and decorated, and the views are lovely over the water. You can see VIctoria, Mount Baker and a wide expanse of water. Lovely views from all the rooms, all but one face the water. Right in front on the water is a large paper mill, which is not distracting. In the cottage there are books, movies, games, and comprehensive information on the peninsula and sights to see, and things to do. Beds are very comfortable - with memory foam - linens good. It was great to have a washer and dryer since we had arrived from three days of hiking in the lower peninsula. Grocery stores and restaurants are very close by. Parking space. We appreciated the price which made it possible for us to stay here. Unbelievable value. We were completely satisfied and pleasantly surprised by our stay. We recommend this without reservation! And, hope to return the next time we are in the area.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Why the Owner Chose Port Angeles:
We feel in love with Port Angeles in 2009 and found a home that let us connect with the sea. We love watching all the activity in the Straits and have a little group of deer that love to lounge in the yard. The Port Angeles Community is vibrant with many weekend festivals throughout the summer and the Olympic Peninsula offers unlimited opportunities for hiking and exploring. Art is alive from downtown sculptures and galleries to the Fine Arts Museum and Webster's Woods.
We hope you enjoy your stay and come to love the North Olympic Peninsula as much as we do.
