Kingstown house description
Lantana is a luxurious 3-bed villa with pool located on a promontory on the south shore of Tortola approximately 200ft above the Sir Francis Drake’s Channel and enjoys stunning views from every room. Located about 1.5 miles east of Road Town, the villa is well positioned for shops, restaurants, yacht charters companies and also the ferry dock for those wishing to explore neighboring islands. The closest beach is just 2 minutes away while the popular north shore beaches of Cane Garden Bay and Josiah's are a 15-20 minute drive.
Tastefully furnished throughout with Indonesian furniture, the ground floor comprises a very well-equipped kitchen with breakfast table and TV, a laundry room, a comfortable study with Wifi and HP printer/scanner and a large sitting/dining room with cathedral vaulting and wrap-around-decks from which to savour the 180 degree views of the surrounding islands, Road Town harbor and all the action in the channel!
The upper floor offers three air-conditioned bedrooms. The master suite has a Californian king-size bed with tempurpedic mattress, an ensuite shower room, walk-in wardrobe and splendid views across the water to Peter Island. The second bedroom is furnished with a queen-size double bed and has views over the harbor to Road Town, whilst the third bedroom has a twin (trundle) bed and breathtaking vistas of the channel and beyond to St John. The second bathroom is shared and has a tub with overhead shower.
Surrounded by colorful tropical plants and palm trees, the pool area provides the perfect spot for sunbathing or for cooling off after a day on the beach, whilst the covered decks offer a shady alternative for outdoor dining and plenty of comfortable seating from which to enjoy the constant boating activity on the water below.
Daily maid service is provided by our housekeeper, who lives on-site in a separate building. Fresh linen and towels are also provided and additional laundry can be organized for a small charge. The housekeeper is also happy to provide breakfast - please contact us for further information.

Our Holiday in BVI at Lantana Tortola
Our Holiday in BVI at Lantana Tortola
Our first Carribean experince with a family and we absolutely loved it. What a beautiful home perched on the point with outstanding views, there was always something to watch. A big highlight was watching the big cruise ships slide by on their way into port and the magnificent sunsets. Lantana is a very comfortable home from home perfect for a family or couples. It has everything you would need and its great fun exploring the island from there as the beautiful coves and beaches are not very far away. Cant wait to go back !!

I have stayed at this idyllic villa on several occassions. It is tucked away on a quiet, breezy hillside with fabulous views of the horseshoe of islands. The villa is spacious, comfortable and cool. Ideal for a great family holiday and a beautiful mosaic swimming pool for a quick cool down! Unusually sizable , workable kitchen, really comfortable cool bedrooms and the veranda at sunset is not to be missed! Close to all the fantastic beaches and Roadtown for shopping.

Great stay in Tortola
Great stay in Tortola
I stayed in this lovely family home a while ago and it was wonderful, and I know it's even been improved since. My memories (and photos) of that stay are of a wide-open house with stunning terraces and views... when not dipping in the pool or soaking up the sun, there was either the verdant views to look at or there might be a cruise ship slipping past towards Road Town harbour. Although the weather was hot, the house was comfortably cool. While we were staying there with children, I can't see why this wouldn't suit any age. The kitchen and dinning areas meant dinners were easy to organise, if we weren't exploring, eating out on out on a boat! We loved it.

Year Purchased: 2007
About: We moved to Tortola in 1994 and spent many years searching for our dream family home before chancing upon Lantana. We co-own Horizon Yacht Charters - located at Nanny Cay Marina - and although we are presently living back in England we are still managing the business which gives us a great excuse to return regularly to the BVI!
Unlike many houses in Tortola, the bedrooms at Lantana are all on the same floor which makes it a great home for a family. The spacious and breezy ground floor gives us plenty of room to spread ourselves out and of course the children and their friends have hours of fun in the pool.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We love being centrally positioned on Tortola - it makes it so easy to pop to the beach or whizz out to the shops - but more than anything we love the ever-changing views from our home. There's never a dull moment with all the activity on the water. We watch the cruise ships glide past our bedroom windows in the early morning and the mega-yachts sailing into harbor to clear customs. We enjoy ringside views of sailing races and watch every kind of nautical drama unfold in-front of us!
