You can golf, hike, fish, mountain bike or just hang out by the lake, don’t forget to bring your camera! SUMMER The Angel Fire Zip line Adventure Tour is the first of its kind in New Mexico. On the signature segment of the tour, adrenaline seekers will fly fifty-stories above the forest floor as they traverse from peak to peak, side by side, on a 1,600' foot tandem zip line. A zip line is a station-to-station adventure ride, which consists of a cable stretched between points of different elevations, a pulley, and a harness or bar for attaching a rider, who moves by gravity. A zip line tour connects multiple zip lines of varying lengths and descents. The Angel Fire Zip line Adventure Tour will start at the 10,600' summit of the ski mountain, and will proceed in a station-to-station tour around the mountaintop. The tour will include six separate zip line segments of varying lengths, including the one dual tandem ride. Angel Fire Ski Resort does not stop with the end of the snowfall. During the summer months, the chairlift runs to give visitors a peek at the expansive scenery from the top of Agua Fire Peak. Camp Angel Fire is structured for kids to have outdoor fun throughout the summer. The camp is for kids ages 5 (must have been in kindergarten) though 12 years. The camp runs Monday through Friday each week with activities such as tennis, hiking, swimming, golf and rock climbing as outdoor activities and arts & crafts almost daily. Kids can join up for a day, a week, or all summer long. Camp Angel Fire is very popular and fills up almost every day, so pre-registration are required in advance. Angel Fire Resort’s trail system is ranked in the top 10 nationally and offers miles of downhill and cross-country entertainment. Extreme riders can test their limits, and family-friendly trails lure riders of all ability levels to experience this exhilarating sport. During the summer months you and your bike can get a (chair) lift on the Chile Express to the summit of Agua Fria Peak. Check out the amazing scenery and grab a bite at the Summit Haus, then zip through the trees and down the mountain. Cross-country riders can also try the South Boundary Trail that starts just south of Angel Fire and traverses the Kit Carson National Forest to Taos. Fly fishing the beautiful waters in and near Angel Fire, which are home to German Brown trout in abundance and a fair population of Rainbow trout, offer anglers from beginner to advanced with a little luck the best chance to reel in a good size one.
