Location: Paris Arrondissement 18, Paris, Ile-de-France (Paris Area), France, Europe (Monmartre, 1 minute from metro station Abesses) View Map
Accommodations: Apartment, Studio, 1 Bath (Sleeps 2)
Top floor terrace-studio on Montmartre overlooking the city of Paris.
This romantic studio is one of a kind with views you can only find in rare properties on the heights of Montmartre.
It features a south-facing terrace with full views of the city of Paris, a full panorama from the Eiffel Tower (base to top) to the Invalids Dome and most every major sight of the City of Light.
You can enjoy the Eiffel Tower’s glittering illuminations every full hour of the night while having a drink on your private terrace.
You will feel very much at home in the charming and stylishly furnished 6th floor studio that offers every amenity (except an elevator).
The furniture is of contemporary design, French double-bed, coffee table and chairs, American kitchen and a modern bathroom.
In the universe of ‘Amelie’, the heart of Montmartre, you will have one of the most beautiful fresh deli markets of paris right at your doorstep, smell the aroma of freshly roasted coffee, enjoy croissants and baguette (French bread) at home or in one of the numerous indoors/outdoors cafés of the immediate neighbourhood.
Metro station Abesses is just steps away and while you live in the proximity of museums, shops, the Sacré Coeur Basilica and a very lively environment created by the local artists who have made Montmartre their home, every other quarter of Paris is just a few subway stations away.

VRBO Bear stayed here - 06/11/2009
Bonjour Mesdames et Messieurs! The VRBO bear has just returned from this fabulous Montmartre apartment in Paris, France. The sixth floor studio provided every penny’s worth of its proclaimed “million dollar view” and the picturesque setting matched every imagination a little bear might have ever had concerning Paris.
The Arrondissement 18 location placed the VRBO bear right into the blood stream of Paris’ vibrant culture. Life’s rich pageant played out daily on the streets below the apartment and a shop for every fancy could be found within a few steps from the building. The smells and sounds wafting into the studio made the whole experience somewhat surreal. Moreover, the “City of Light” is literally laid before your feet at this Montmartre address.
Although the VRBO bear feasted liberally on Paris’ gastronomical delights, he actually managed to improve his physical conditioning during the visit. This was probably due to walking around such notable sites such as the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, and Notre-Dame Cathedral. However, the six flights of stairs up to the studio apartment may have also contributed to his enhanced well-being. Although the VRBO bear had to say “au revoir” for now, he knows that he will return. His stay in this Montmartre apartment only wetted his appetite for more of the living, breathing entity which is the city of Paris.

Why the Owner Chose Paris Arrondissement 18
I love Paris and even more the village of Montmartre, the cradle of most major art movements: impressionism, pointillism, cubism, fauvism were born here.
The bars and restaurants preferred by the locals simply have good food for a decent price and above all they do have a soul.
On Montmartre people enter 'their' bistro like their living-room. It is where they meet their spiritual family. 'Les copains d'abord' has remained the leitmotif of the local community and one couldn't imagine a day without meeting one's friends in the bistro. Some have several bistros but are loyal to each in that they visit them at least once a day. Don't think those people have a leisure-life, they just set their priorities, they chose a lifestyle where warmth, friendship and togetherness count most.
We will initiate you to the Montmartre art de vivre.
Before you leave you will have discovered the most representative poets and writers, both classic and contemporary. We will show you where famous artists used to live, but also tell you who are currently the most promising creators and make you meet them, if you wish.
Some of our favorite contemporary painters are Vincent Magni (Galerie Modus, Place des Vosges), Jacky Servos-Bellec, Jean-Marc Guéroux, Frédérique Chemin.
Our preferred writers are Lola Lafon (whom we also appreciate as an electro-balkanic musician), Undine Gruenter (the most Parisian of Germans, actually 'une Montmartroise') and Bill Bonner (a Paris and Ouzilly-based American).
We love Tom Ge as an 'auteur-compositeur', Max Boublil as a comic, and we are crazy about the concert pianist Mario Feninger.
We'll present them to you, they are alive, now, and - as Gertrude Stein would say: Stop regretting that you don't own a Picasso. There was a time when you could have bought one.
In spite of its stunning beauty Paris is not a museum, it is as alive as ever and the artists are its life force, its élan vital.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
A stunning view of the Eiffel Tower, top to bottom, sparkling every hour just to grace you while you are having dinner on your private terrace.
Owner's Map of Paris Arrondissement 18
Bonjour,
I'm Eva, the owner of the apartment. I bought it because I fell in love with Montmartre and the view over Paris you have from the terrace of the flat. I wrote a romanced guide of Montmartre: 'Paris Montmartre avec amour'. I can send it to you in its ebook version if you wish. I live around the corner from the apartment. I wouldn't live anywhere else but on the Hill of Montmartre. It's the most romantic and artistic spot in Paris. I'll be happy to host you and to share with you all the best places on the Butte.

This was an incredible long week-end; What a way to spend Valentine's Day! The studio is cozy and charming, the view is INCROYABLE and we totally fell in love with Paris - especially Montmartre. We thoroughly enjoyed the neighborhood stores, bakeries and restaurants. Yum!! Thank you for a wonderful time. We will never forget the simple joy of sipping champagne on the terrace while watching the Eiffel Tower sparkle. The sights, the people and the JOIE DE VIVRE will be in our hearts forever. Merci beaucoup !

Dear Madame Lefevre, I am writing to say thank you. I enjoyed staying in your charming apartment. It was well equipped and I really took advantage of the terrace on the beautiful sunny days and mild evenings to sit and enjoy my meals. The location is wonderful and very convenient to anything and everything anyone would need. I would not hesitate to stay at your apartment again if I were to stay in Paris . Ghum, the chauffeur picked me up from and took me to the Airport , he is a friendly and polite man and a safe driver. I will not hesitate to recommend him to friends who maybe visiting Paris. Your apartment held a large part in me enjoying a wonderful two weeks experiencing the Parisien way of life, thank you. With Best Wishes, Sue
