We are ready! The renovations are complete and the new furniture is in place. Our condo has been professionally renovated and tastefully appointed by the Hawaiian Islands own up and coming makeover team.
This 4th floor, 3 bedroom, 2 bath ocean front unit is a stone's throw from the ocean. You'll enjoy unobstructed views of the whales, amazing sunsets and everything the ocean has to offer right from the comfort of your living room and lani. Molokai and Lanai seem close enough most days that you feel like you can almost touch these neighboring islands.
The highlights of the renovation include new granite counter tops and backsplashes in the kitchen, new carpets, beds and mattresses in the bedrooms and loft, new furniture and wood flooring in the living room, new remote control lit fans in all the rooms, new paint throughout and new lani furniture. All the linens and towels are new too. Everything needed for your vacation is here, right down to clock radios in the rooms, air conditioning, beach towels, beach chairs and boogie boards. The only thing you need to show up with are a rental car, spending money and your beach clothes.
The kitchen is complete with all major and minor appliances, plates, dishes, cutlery, cooking utensils and dining bar. There is a washer and dryer next to the main bathroom. The living room has a queen pull out sofa bed, matching love seat, dining room table and 52" wall mounted TV complete with Blue Ray player. The living room opens through large glass doors to the spacious lani that is truly an extension of your living area. The bar height lani furniture seats 4.
The master bedroom has been furnished with a king sized 4 poster bed, dresser, night stands and opens onto the adjoining en-suite with corian counter, sink with private tiled toilet and shower area.
A flat screen TV and DVD player have also been added to the master suite.
The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed with dresser, end tables, large closet and is next to the main bathroom. This bathroom is also furnished in corian counters, sink with private tiled toliet and shower area.
Up the open wood stair case from the living room you will find the private penthouse loft with 1 single bed, 1 queen bed, night stand, large closet, desk area, for those who may be forced to do a little work while away and ample cupboards and drawers for you storage needs.
The Papakea Resort is a collection of eleven 4 storey walk up units, serviced with elevators and security, situated on 13 acres of perfectly manicured grounds. The lighted tennis courts are next to the building that houses the reception desk, house keeping and Expedia. There are Yoga and Water Aerobics classes and Tennis lessons.
The ocean front units are direclty on the ocean and the ocean view units surround 2 Koi ponds, 2 heated swimming pools with hot tubs and cabanas, 2 putting greens, 2 shuffle boards and 2 large BBQ areas. This building concept ensures every unit has a great view of the ocean and is un-crowded, low density living at its finest with direct access to miles of the worlds most pristine beach.

Great space for our large family - the kids had their space up in the loft and the 2 bedrooms were more than comfortable for us and my inlaws. Really appreciated the boogie boards and snorkels in the condo. The gals at the expedia desk were very friendly and helpful. We did all our shopping across the street, saved the trip back to Costco and didn't think the prices were all that bad - a nice surprise. Sure cheaper than eating out!! We loved the BBQ set up around the pools. If there was one thing we would have wanted it would be a beach right off the property but we knew booking it that we'd have to walk a bit to get to a beach so it wasn't a surprise. Easy, smooth, relaxing, sunny get-a-way.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children.

Beautiful site, very good location, poor beach in front of the resort and appartment need to be upgrade (removing carpet)Recommended for: People with disabilities, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: The condo has been completely renovated within the last year. I suspect that the carpet is in need of more frequent steam cleaning. We have addressed this with our unit manager and they will be more diligent in cleaning the carpet. Thank you for your input so we are able to address the situation for future guests. Aloha

Our family had the pleasure of staying in the beautiful ocean front condo for 10 nights, it truly was a million dollar view! This was our 2nd visit to papakea resort and have to say it was a pleasure working with Keith. The condo was furnished with everything needed for a large family. Keith: thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful condo. My family and I had such a great time and the place accommodated the 6 of us perfectly. We had everything we needed in the unit and more! The beds were so comfortable, as was the couch, and chairs out on the lanai. The decor had a good island vibe and was nicer than any that I've stayed at so far at Papakea. Thank you Keith and Debbie! We enjoyed our stay so much! Property was just as described. This was a wonderful vacation and the Condo was perfect. Right on the ocean giving us fantastic views of the whales. We are already missing the sound of the surf! The Expedia folks at resort were great, helping us plan all of our activities, making all the calls and doing all the bookings. Owner was very helpful in answering all questions and we are looking forward to staying here again!Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Thank you, Keith and Debbie, for allowing us to stay in your beautiful condo! This top floor condo was exceptionally clean and had everything that we needed for a wonderful vacation, including: plenty of room to comfortably sleep our party of 6 people, a fully stocked kitchen, and access to all the activities that we wanted. We enjoyed surfing and walking on the gorgeous beaches during the day, and how close we were to shopping, restaurants and night life in the evenings. The lanai provided whale watching in the morning, and amazing sunsets in the evening. The Papakea was great for our three year old daughter with mini golf, swimming pools, and easy beach access. We will definitely return to this condo as soon as possible!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

This was a wonderful vacation. Home was beautiful, just as described. Owner was very responsive to all questions we had. I would highly recommend this VRBO to anyone looking for a relaxing spot for a getaway. It is very convenient to many places. We did lots of walking and saw many whales last week. About the owner: We are Debbie & Keith with girls Amy, Rebecca and Corah from Alberta. After years of traveling to hot spots around the world the ladies asked why we had never been to Hawaii. The answer was " the first time we vacation in Hawaii we'll never go anywhere else". After a vacation to Maui and the Papakea 8 years ago we've never been anywhere else. We're now able to share or home away from home with new and old friends all year long. The Papakea feels as good or better than home everytime we return and we're sure you'll feel the same way.
