This beautiful log cabin, in Beech Mountain, NC, is the perfect getaway home for a single family or a shared trip with family and friends. Comfortably sleeps 11, with room for sleeping bags or air mattresses. A private setting, yet close to several amenities; ski resort(2 mls); Buckeye Recreation Center (free wi-fi)(1ml); Fred's General Store (3mls), and within walking distance of several hiking, biking and nature trails.
A spacious floor plan of 2283 square feet complete with a loft, fully equipped kitchen, 4 bedrooms (w/ loft) which sleeps 2), 3.5 baths and a large entertainment room with movie screen and surround sound. The front covered porch is perfect for simply relaxing and enjoying the mountain air, or for entertaining friends. This cabin also offers a drive in attached garage.
4 Wheel Drive is Strongly recommended during the winter months.
Beech Mountain offers numerous year-round activities. Winter activities include skiing, snowboarding, tubing, ice skating and sledding (cabin has several sleds available for use). In the warmer months, enjoy golf, tennis, swimming, fishing and whitewater rafting.
Beech Mountain is also close to some of North Carolina's top attractions including Grandfather Mountain, The Blue Ridge Parkway (and Linn Cove Viaduct), Linville Caverns, Linville Falls, Tweetsie Railroad and The Blowing Rock. The Biltmore House in Asheville, NC is about two hours away.

We stayed the week of Christmas thru New Years and had a blast. Lots of snow, 4x4 or chains a must. The house was perfect, we had 4 adults and 5 children and there was still plenty of room. The property and the house is beautiful. The kids were sledding right out in front of the house. Saw lots of deers right outside your window. The skiing is only 5 min away. Had a great time and would stay again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children.

Beautiful cabin!!! So happy we chose to stay here. The cabin was perfect, the location was perfect(close to the slopes but also private), and the owners are awesome. They were very quick to return emails and very friendly over the phone. I would very much recommend this property.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

About the owner: We are a family of 4 and have loved owning this cabin in Beech Mountain. It feels remote, but skiiing, recreational facilities, restaurants and shopping are all just a few miles away.
Why the Owner Chose Beech Mountain:
We built the cabin after several visits to the area. Our favorite part is the peaceful, quiet setting. We enjoy feeding the deer, bird watching and hiking the trails. Rain or shine there is always something to do in the area....even if it's reading a book or watching a movie on the large TV screen.
