The rental property was VERY NICE! We rented the home while we were waiting for our house to be finished, just got my computer up & running today. Darcy is very friendly and called to be sure everything was ok and if we needed anything, how nice is that? I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for clean, updated accommodations. Very dog friendly, having the doggie door is a god send! My only suggestion would be to put a TV in the living room area, as always going out to the detached room can be a bit annoying. But the detached room is a great place for kids to play games etc. Would rent it again and again and again........Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Hi Doug & Darla! Thanks for the great review - to respond to your tv complaint - there are 3 flat screen tvs throughout the house but the living room walls have windows or would require ugly wires stapled to the walls up and over the doorways because of the stairs so there was no way to put one in there without looking tacky. I am glad you enjoyed the home for almost 3 months. Hope you are enjoying your new home!

Myself and a group of 7 friends spent 3 nights over new years at this lovely chalet and it was perfect for our needs. Looking at the online pictures it was exactly as described on the website if not even nicer. A 15-20 minute walk took us into the heart of the town yet we still felt reasonably 'secluded' whilst at the chalet. Having never been to Prescott previously I was really impressed by what a charming town it is particularly at that time of year. I would highly recommend a trip to this chalet and Prescott to anyone considering visiting.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thank You Neil! Nicely put! Come back soon!

We loved our stay in this house. Our son, his wife and two children, ages 11 and 6, came from Texas and our daughter joined us from Tucson. There was plenty of room for all of us. The house was very clean, comfortable and decorated with many homey touches. The children loved the neighborhood and the back patio. There was a dusting of snow while we were there and the kids were so excited. Our grandson wants to know if we can make this a Christmas family tradition. We also appreciated the owner's book with all sorts of local information. It was a great experience for us.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

A group of us (5 adults) came in for the Whiskey Off Road Race this spring and this location was perfect. We were able to walk down to the main square. I addition to the humans in our group we also brought along our lab. She loved the doggie door and we loved the fenced in dog run area. It was so nice to be able to leave her in a secure area when we were away from the property. The house was spotless. The bedrooms were all comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and it was nice to have the two patio and deck areas. The owner was very helpful in answering any questions and provided a binder with information about the house and lots of suggestions for things to do. If you are looking for a house close to the action, but secluded and quiet this is it!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners.

Thank you Darcy for such a great place to stay! The location was great...a few miles either direction to Whisky Row and the Prescott National Forest/Thumb Butte. I enjoyed the mountain air and trees! The cabin was VERY clean, and very well appointed. We had everything we needed and more! All of the personal touches were very nice. We enjoyed relaxing on the front porch, and hammock too, and grilling outdoors on the back porch. We were very comfortable and the kids were sad to leave! The doggie door and large fenced in back porch was wonderful. This area again was very clean, and both of our dogs (one large, and one small, 5lbs) were safe and could not squeeze out anywhere. I could let them roam freely outdoors without leashing them up. It was so nice to travel with the dogs, and not have to board them. Our family had a wonderful visit, and would definately stay at your place again!Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners.
Owner response: Thank you the great review! I am so pleased that you liked it but to hear that your kids didn't want to leave says a great deal indeed! Please book again next year and make it an annual event.

Darcy, thank you so much. A very comfortable place to stay with everything that you need. We enjoyed it so much just relaxing out on the patio. Our 2 dogs had so much fun being able to run and play in the doggie area. So close to the Whiskey Row shops and the park. Thank you for providing a nice, comfortable, and dog friendly place to stay. Used your guide book for places to eat so also thank you for providing that useful information. Wonderful time and looking forward to staying again next summer.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners.

We loved our stay here! The house was very comfortable, nicely decorated, and more than enough space for us to spread out! Our dog loved it too, with a doggie door and plenty of patio space to run around!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Hi Maria, Thanks for the great review. I am happy to hear your dog liked it as well. Isnt that neighborhood great for walks? Thank you for treating my home with care - come back anytime! Winter is an equally special treat for a snowy weekend getaway.

The perfect place for those with furry travel companions - doggie door along with a secure gated run area - makes for a complete getaway with the full family. The house has everything you need and is spotless. It is in a nice neighborhood and with just 1mile away to Whiskey Row, it was an easy walk or a very short drive to get to the heart of the Prescott. I so loved the guidebook that Darcy, the owner, provides. It has tips on the best places to visit, eat - and makes you feel like you know something the locals know when you go out to dinner. We most definitely plan to return and most definitely want to stay at this lovely location again. Thank you so much for catering to those who want to travel with their furry family members!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, pet owners.
Owner response: Wendy, Thank you! I am glad you read my local recommendations, and I am glad your pups were comfortable as well. Prescott really is a great place to visit and live year round! Next time bring your kayak canoe or bike - I've got plenty of storage!

We were up in prescott for my son's wedding. We stayed here at Darcy's home. She made it so special for us. It was more then we could have imagined. What a super neat place! Everything you could possibly need was there at your finger tips. It made our stay so wonderful, relaxing......no stress. :O) I would tell anyone going up for a vacation to Prescott to stay away from the hotels and rent a VRBO place. This was the best place ever!!! My sisters dog Sligo also very much enjoyed her stay!!!! Thank You Darcy! :O)Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thanks Patricia! :)
