This is a very nice unit for the price, and the owner was most accommodating. The place is well fitted out with what you need, and the beds were comfortable, the rooms large. There is a nice lanai with barbeque (which we didn't have time to use, but it's nice to have) and it's an end unit, so there are no neighbors on that side, and more windows than other units have, so better light and air. The unit was very convenient to the grocery store in Waikoloa Village-- you can walk, easily, and it's only about 10 minutes drive down to the highway and the beaches and resorts along the coast, so not too bad for proximity to the stuff you want to do. There are a lot of birds around, and these wonderful wild turkeys that cruise the property, which made it feel very exotic, like a nature preserve-- very nice. The building has some families and full-time residents, so there was a bit more noise from kids playing and people talking than might be ideal, but nothing bad and not past a decent hour at night, so no real problem. I would definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

I live on the Big Island, on the east side, and for my birthday I told my husband I wanted just a little getaway on Winter Break (I am a teacher) . It was great. The fully-equipped kitchen and BBQ grill made it easy for us to cook (which I love to do), and we were 3 minutes from the grocery store. The beds were comfortable and the rooms spacious and inviting. Each couple had their own bathroom and lots of towels :). There were turkeys every morning, as promised, and also a cat who insisted on coming in and strolling around while we were cooking breakfast (I joked that this was not a real vacation, because I have cats & chickens at home always at the door wanting to be fed). Everything in the unit was clean and although not new, definitely not worn-out in any way. We used the pool on the last day, although it was super-windy. We didn't realize there was a fully-stocked bar/restaurant at the clubhouse, or we probably would have gone over there at some point. The first day we were feeling adventurous, so we drove up through Kohala, hiked out to the spooky Mookini Heiau, then hiked down into Polulu Valley. The second day, snorkeling at fabulous 69s beach, only about a 10-15 minute drive away and in IMO, way better than the beach at A-bay (especially ever since the tsunami wrecked that beach). Craig even let us do a late check-out, so we were able to BBQ some chiken and have a nice lunch before our long drive home. All in all, a fabulous little mini-vacation. i would highly recommend this place for people traveling with family and friends - having a living room and kitchen gives you the oppurtunity to hang out but also have the privacy of your own bathroom and bedroom, and at half the price of a hotel. All in all, it was a great, satisfying, restful getaway to the other side of the island.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

we enjoyed our stay for a week at this 2 bedroom condo in Paniolo Club, Waikoloa village. 2 large bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom was great for two couples. While we were missing a few housekeeping items upon arrival, the owner quickly purchased anything we asked for with 24 hours. We were surprised that there was no air conditioning, or even ceiling fans in the bedrooms, but were pleasantly surprised by the cool breezes, and did get a floor fan for one of the bedrooms. The Paniolo club is not the highest quality buildings, and is not as close to the swimming pool/tennis courts as some other developments in the village.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: The aloha spirit (Comfort and relaxation at an affordable price) is my goal, Enjoying the Big Island experience is my hope for every vacationer! Mahalo

This is my third time back to the Big Island and I loved staying at this condo. In fact, it was by far my favorite accommodation of all since it gave me a sense of community- and my own kitchen - that the B&B of my first visit and resort hotel of the second couldn't offer. The area is perfect for exploring the North side and easy driving access to some fantastic beaches on the West side of the island. Plus, I got to avoid all the congestion of Kona Town, enjoy the community feeling of Waikoloa and discover a great dive operator at the Queen's village shopping center at the bottom of the hill. If you are looking for a 'neighborhood' Hawaiian experience, consider this property. Even the people at the grocery store up the hill will give you a sense of belonging, which makes for a richer holiday experience. As an FYI, the pictures were accurate to the property. And, the turkeys that strutted by with tails unfurled every morning were fun to watch.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
