My family has been going back to Ocean Front Suites year after year for 8 years now. It is by far the favorite week we spend as a family all year. My brother and his family take the condo next door to us and we all spend the week relaxing, BBQ dinners watching the sun set on the ocean, cool breezy evenings, and people watching from the spacious front patio. The units are always clean, the beds comfortable, and the kitchens always well stocked. Pack your swim suit and a towel, thats about all you need for a perfect vacation!

Great location and accomodations

My husband and I along with our two boys (12 and 14 years) had a great week. From the minute we checked in and hit the beach, our week was perfect. The beach is great, the location is close to restaurants and an easy walk to the grocery store. The boardwalk is fun and makes for great people watching. Why take a plane to Hawaii when you can drive here and bring everything with you...beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrella, surf board and, for much less money.We definitely recommend ocean front suites and will come back again.

Our family has vacationed at other beach-front properties in this area, but this condo is by far the best one for us...the location is perfect, the condo was very clean, and very quiet...at first, we were a little hesitant about being next door to hotel room balconies, but that never was an issue...we were also concerned that having only one bathroom might be a problem for the 5 of us, but that also was not an issue...we had an upstairs unit that gave us a great view of the dolphins each day and we loved keeping the sliding glass door open so we could enjoy the nice cool breezes...the other condo's we rented did not have this nice feature...you can park your car and never have to start it again until it's time to leave, as plenty of great restaurants are within an easy walk...but parking a car is somewhat of a small inconvenience...we drive a Volvo SUV and it would not fit into the small garage, so we had to park in a nearby lot...but that was no big deal...a smaller car or SUV will fit fine in the garage...and a garage is a luxury you don't usually find in condo rentals in this area...we highly recommend this condo for families of any age...older folks (like me) may desire the downstairs units to avoid running up and down the stairway, but we much preferred being upstairs mostly because of the view...rent this condo, you'll love it !

This is definitely the best place on the beach. The porch is fabulous and perfect for people watching on the booardwalk. We have been staying here for 20+ years and would never be lured away for the glitzier places down the road. The location is perfect, close to the best restaurants and walking distance to everything that you could need. The place is very clean and the property manager is real close by so the response is quick if you need something. The kitchen supplies are a little light, so bring your own if you are gonna need something special.

This was the second time our family rented this location and absolutely love it! Perfect patio for just sitting and people watching! It is very clean and homey! Great place if you have multiple families wanting to vacation together!!!

We have rented 2-3 of these condos along with my sister in law and her family for the past 8 years. Little kids, big kids & old kids alike - we ALL enjoy our time there! It is clean, comfortable, has great parking, perfect location and one of the best patios on the beach!! We do not ever plan to stop coming!

We had a wonderful time during our week in San Diego! The accomodations were clean and adequate for the number of people we had. The view and the location cannot be beat, and our teenage boys loved the activity on the boardwalk as well as resturants, shops, and sand volleyball! The patio was great to BBQ and people watch. Loved it all!

Owner response:With all the great restaurants, shops on Garnet, grocery store and CVS pharmacy within walking distance (couple blocks away) you never have to move your car.

BEST Vacation Ever!!

We stayed at the Ocean Front Suites with 4 other families and we had the absolute best time of the summer. If you're looking for a place on Mission Beach that's right in the heart of the action STAY HERE!! It's right on the board walk and the people watching was so much fun. All 4 units share a huge patio that has 4 concrete round tables with benches and 2 charcole grills. All you need is your patio chairs and you are ready to people watch. We LOVED this location becasue we have 2 small children (2 & 4) and the kids could play on the beach (close to the wall) and we could watch them from our patio while we are grilling dinner and having happy hour. We had an upstairs until and LOVED it. The kids didn't have any problems with the stairs and the unit was SUPER CLEAN! They are 2 bedroom 1 bathroom untits that look exactly like the pictures on the website. They will not disapoint. The furniture was really clean and comfy and the units are stocked. All you need is bath and beach towells. I do recommmend bringing tollet paper, paper towells and hand soap. They give you some but not enough for the entire week. They also give you a few trash bags but you may want to bring some more. The unit also has a dishwasher (they provide the detergent) and there are coin operated washers and dryers located just behind the unit. Over all we were VERY pleased with Ocean Front Suites and plan on booking next summer . Hopefully we can reserve all 4 units again :)

We stayed on the bottom level of Ocean Front Suites in June 2011. It was absolutely wonderful! We have three young children. The patio is large with tables and large umbrellas for plenty of shade. We relished our morning coffee on the patio while people watching o the boardwalk and listening to the ocean. The inside of our unit was spotless upon arrival (even with all the sand travelers must bring in each week). There are two bedrooms- one even has a TV. Plenty of bathroom storage, but you do need to remember to bring your own towels. Shower only- no bath. Worked out great with kids (ages 6, 4 and 2) because I wouldn't have wanted them bathing in all the sand anyway. I would HIGHLY recommend the bottom unit for anyone with a handicap, young children or a couple who enjoys patio time. The top units are just as well maintained and provide a beautiful view of the ocean. We saw the top units as well because our friends were staying in them. I'd recommend the top units for families with teens (because of the stairs) or anyone who wants a little more quiet than the boardwalk offers. Oh, and did I mention there is a dishwasher in the kitchen and a coin operated washer/dryer available?! If you are waivering on a decision to rent at Ocean Front Suites or somewhere else----STOP NOW and BOOK IT. You'll be glad you did!

Awesome location - rented this condo and friends rented the other three units. Great spot for people watching and within walking distance to everything. Unit was clean and had all amenities - do be aware you need to provide your own toiletries and paper products.

Owner response:With having all four suites in the same building and sharing the large patio, we do have several guest and their friends and family stay on the same week. The adults can enjoy relaxing while the children can play.

Our family had a great time, the weather was perfect and our stay was very relaxing. We enjoyed every minute of it, walking down the boardwalk and the beach. We could sit outside and enjoy our coffee as well as the ocean view. I highly recommend this place and Elise was a great help. Thanks Elise and I hope you enjoyed the flowers I left behind.

Best Boardwalk watching patio in San Diego. BBQ provided. Have stayed there 8 years now, and entire familiy looks forward to returning each year. Really good location on south end of Pacific Beach close to restaurants stores and the action.

Our family has stayed here for many years.....and it is wonderful Very handy to everything, biggest and best patio on Pacific Beach. We love to people watch on the boardwalk and always have the swimmers, surfers, and ocean as our view. Many mornings catch the sight of dolphins jumping. Just a great place to be that we always look forward to.

Our stay at Ocean Front Suites was fantastic! We had our first family vacation and the accomodations were wonderful and perfect for the 11 of us. Being on the beach was a huge plus but the condition of the rooms was really nice. Everything we needed to make and eat a meal, comfy beds and relaxing surroundings made for a memorable week. We were also close to restaurants and shopping as well as tourist spots. I would definitely stay again and am already planning next year.

This was our 5th year in a row staying in these great condos. My brother and his family have one, my family has another and it's our family's favorite vacation every year. The condos are clean, comfortable, safe, and close to everything and everywhere you want to be in San Diego. The patio is a fantastic place to spend the entire day and night, BBQ, people watch, read or just relax. We will be returning for many more years! I would not hesitate to reccomend Ocean Front Suites to anyone looking for a first class place to stay on the beach.

We had a fantastic week in our condo. It was very clean, convenient to stores, restaurants, and right on the beach. It was the best location for anything you want to do. My family loves to sit on the deck and just "veg" when we go to San Diego. This is perhaps the largest patio to enjoy all the sites from along the boardwalk. Our "neighbors" were fun and we had an absolute blast and relaxing time. We plan to return next year and many years after.

We've been vacationing at Ocean Front Suites for the past 6 years. The condos are always clean and management is responsive to any concerns. There is nothing better than hanging out on the large patio that abuts the boardwalk. Beautiful sunsets, ocean breezes and great people watching. The beach is just a hop over the boardwalk and we can watch our daughter from the patio if we don't want to go out ourselves. This location is great because you have easy access to Sea World (10 minutes),The airport, Downtown San Diego, Litle Italy, Gas Lamp & Hillcreast areas and the Zoo (20 minutes). Cruise North along West Mission Bay drive and watch the coast to Bird's Rock and La Jolla (20 minutes). The condos are walking distance to Ralph's (chain grocery) Longs (pharmacy) and several fine restaurants. One of our favorites is the Ciopino at World Famous Restaurant about 75 yards norht of the condos on the boardwalk. Hang out on the lower or upper deck patios and enjoy great coffee and breakfast at The Mission just past World Famous. Our favorite Mexican place, La Playa Taco Shop, is just across Mission Drive next door to the Catamaran Hotel. Great chicken enchiladas & chips and hot sauce! If you can't do without Trader Joes, it's 10 minutes drive at Garnet & Fanuel. Also, I should mention that I use a wheelchair. While the 2 lower units are not "officially" accessible, I get around well in my narrow wheelchair and the door thresholds to enter the units are only 2 inches. Enjoy your stay, we always do!

Our two families rented three of the units over Memorial Day week to celebrate college graduation. It was an amazing vacation. The units feature a huge front deck area which allowed us to BBQ, visit and play games while enjoying the people watching, volleyball games and Dolphins. The managers are very accomodating and we would highly recommend this unit, as long as you don't take our Memorial Day week :) We plan on making this an annual event.

Wonderful vacation spot! We had 4 teen-agers and the location was perfect as well as the suite was quite comfortable. The kids spent their time on the beach and boardwalk and we spent our time on the great patio!

Our extended family rented the 2 lower condos when my daughter was married on the beach in La Jolla. There were over 100 people at the wedding and we all rented various condos, but ours were the best by far and everyone congregated there. How wonderful!!! Will be going back for sure!

We definitely would recommend anyone to stay at your beach house! It is perfect for a long weekend and our 3 kids enjoyed all the different types of people on the beach!:) Joe's Crabshack for dinner was really good. We walked almost everywhere! Great location.

I can not begin to tell you how much we enjoyed are stay at your vacation rental. It was just the right size for my family. They were comfortable and very impressed with the cleaness, and the location. We could walk and see the sights as well as look at the ocean. What a great place! You have to go to the "World Famous" restaurant on Mondays from 4-7pm. They have 1/2 price drink and food. Go early! We went to La Jolla to see the Sea Lions, a must see! We enjoyed just sitting on the large patio of our oceanfront suite watching all the different people walking by on the boardwalk.

Had a wonderful time! Luigis Pizza the greatest 30 inch pizza you will ever eat! The restaurant Taylor's has the best Karaoke in San Diego! Tons of fun along with great brews!
