  We had a group of 6 ladies stay here for 4 nights, and we had a good experience. The building is old, and I was a bit skeptical walking down the hall to the unit, but when I got there it looked just like the pictures on the listing. The large picture window was really nice. The furnishings were fine, there was plenty of lighting, both bathrooms were fine. We did not go up to the loft area; we didn't want to venture up the pull-down ladder. We used the little cubby holes for extra storage, which was really helpful with 6 girls. The room could use a little TLC (fresh coat of paint, minor repairs on the blinds and tv stand), but otherwise was in good condition. There were plenty of towels, linens, blankets, etc. There are some convenience stores on the lower level of the building with basic provisions, food/drinks. There's a tiki bar by the pool that's pretty good - we got drinks and lunch there. The beach is just a few steps from the pool. We spent most of our time exploring the Lincoln Rd area and Ocean Drive, which were short cab rides away. The owner was very responsive, professional, and provided detailed check-in instructions, directions to building/unit, etc. We didn't have any issues during our stay, but I'm confident the owner would have been attentive if we had. Bottom line, this unit was a good value and we had a positive experience.

  Great condo! Very spacious and comfortable! Plenty of room and furnishings were great! Close to food store and short can ride to south beach. Great pool and amenities and easy access to beach. Owner of property easy to get a hold of and provided all needed information inside the condo . I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a getaway with a small group or family or even a couple! Wonderful place and fantastic experience !!!

  Stayed here for a ladies group getaway in January. Wasn’t entirely sure about the place, but we liked the layout and photos looked nice enough so we went for it. I will say that while I was looking into options, the owner of this particular property spent much more time and provided much more useful information then all the other responses I received. Many of the listings I looked into never provided any kind of response at all. After I talked with Gregory, the reservation process was simple and straightforward. Unfortunately our flight was delayed but when we finally got there we were able to check in even at 2:00am without any delay---this was a big plus! A huge smile opened across all of our faces as we began to recognize the familiar views that we had come to study from the pictures in the online listing. You never really know until you show up but thankfully the property actually looked like the photos. Same layout, same window, same TV, same furniture. Actually--come to think of it--I think some of the furniture may have been nicer than what he has in the pictures (like the coffee table for example) but I guess it just made for an even more pleasant surprise, especially given the $$ we paid. The best feature is the probably the big open living room with the high ceiling and the centerpiece window. The space was perfect for entertaining and during “in-between time” when we were all together. Plenty of room, all the supplies, full linens, towels, it really had everything we needed. We even found moisturizer and food spices other items we weren’t really expecting. The beachfront location was amazing! The sand and ocean are steps away while the activities in south beach were a short cab ride. The only issue we had was with parking. The owner provided 1 space as part of the rental but we had to pay extra to park our 2nd car. Still, I would prefer to stay here over my last visit to South Florida any day! The owner was also very professional, courteous and easy to deal with. Great choice overall!

  The pictures paint a pretty picture whoever, there are a tons of issues. There is barely any storage. And the loft area is.... Well go up there at your own risk. It's a pull down ladder with nothing to hold onto. We were told our luggage would fit up there. Problem, how can you get it up there?? It was a joke. The bathrooms were old with broken tile in both showers. Not well maintained whatsoever. Absolutely no upgrades and not very clean. I could go on, but if you're still interested after reading this. The jokes on you!! Very disappointing.

  What a funnnnn place to spend our vacation!! I want to go back nowwwww!! Me and 7 friends had a blast staying here while celebrating my bachelorette and birthday week! Such a good time! The “New York Style Loft” is very cool!! When we got there everyone kept saying how the place felt like one of those “MTV Real World” houses with the dramatic layout and all the funky bed spaces/lounge spots!! All of us had been to Miami Beach before and couldn’t have been happier in choosing this place. The Loft is BIG and BRIGHT, the location is close to everything and the owner was very easy to work with. Only complaint was that both radio’s inside the loft weren’t that great or loud, but we were able to use the dvd player& tv to play our music until our friend with the laptop and speakers arrived. The only other issue was that the valet parking can take a while---especially during busy times---but since we didn’t have to pay for it, we weren’t complaining. We had friends staying at the hotel a few blocks down and they had to pay $15 every time they wanted to get their car (and it was even more to park overnight). The beach was great, it was mostly just us out there—the pool and tiki bar were also fun but you had to be up pretty early to reserve the chairs on the weekend. All in all, the place was great, and the price was unbeatable for what we got/paid. Thank you Mr. Gregory! .

  Seven guys stayed here for 5 nights. The location was good, just a short cab ride to the heart of South Beach. With direct beach access, you can walk to a couple of different Hotels. Also, the place has a little Tiki bar that is serviceable. Greg, is easy to work with and responsive to any issues that might arise during your stay. I would definitely recommend this place to a group that is looking for a nice, reasonably priced, condo in Miami Beach.

  Plenty of room. Needs a little TLC to make it perfect. Great window but blinds did not work properly. (Not ideal for mornings or privacy): Could use some fresh paint and some minor touch ups in bathooms. Check in was late and had to dress our own beds. It was full stocked with ameneties (except toilet paper and bags but Publix was close by so it was easy to pick up). Overall had a nice time. Hope renovations to building are completed soon but was not inconvenienced by them. I kind of overpayed but then again my original dates were for july 4th week so I may have paid a little more than the going rate.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

  I am very pleased with my decision to go with this rental. The owner took his time in explaining everything and with great detail.The staff was very friendly and the location was perfect(not too far from the nightlife of Miami). The rental came with everything we needed and was nice and tidy when we arrived. The actual building that housed the rental has some construction going on but it never hindered any area that we explored. Even with the little construction going on the building was clean and every area was accesible. You can't beat the value you are getting with this property. The only minor complaint was that the blinds over the window were a little messed up. It never bothered me but the females that were with us didn't seem too happy. After getting settled in nobody seemed to care anymore. Everything in the rental worked and side of the building it was housed in was nice and quiet(even with the construction). Would stay again if I can ever get back to Miami.

With regard to the specifics you mention...being that the building is OCEANFRONT it does require continuous maintenance but I am glad that this in no way impacted your stay.   I've gotta be honest, I'm not a big fan of renting or buying anything online especially when its from another person I don't know. To say I was skeptical about this whole thing is an understatement! I also am not the type of person to spend time writing a review either but after seeing how much they helped me decide, I figured it was good karma for me to repay the favor (and since the owner was nice enough)...here goes: We found this place for a girls bachelorette party in February. We had 7 girls in total and nobody could decide on what hotel we wanted to stay at The costs to stay anywhere "BEACHFRONT" we found were a bit ridiculous (upwards of 200$ per room + tax, + fees, + parking = absurd) and not to mention with a group of 7 we were looking at at least 2 HOTEL rooms, but more likely 3!! This would have cost us a small fortune and we'd still have been stuck spending our down time cramped in hotel rooms with no kitchen, no space to get ready and hang out together etc. Then, one of my my friends told me about "vacation rental websites" and we quickly found this place! Again, I am a big skeptic so I expected this property to either be a fake listing or that we were going to have to pay twice as much as the the 3 hotel rooms would have cost AND THEN SOME! This was the first time I was really happy to be wrong!! :) We received our quote right away and to my surprise it was much cheaper than the hotel rooms and other apartments we saw. (BTW, did I mention that this was A LOFT...!! not just a regular apartment but more of an artsy-like space with these big windows and open layout....awesome!!) You could tell that it was a vacation rental: -The building had staff that were expecting our arrival (valet, security etc) -The building had the feel of a hotel/resort -The place itself had just been cleaned -The furniture was nice but basic -The beds were OK and well spread out, -The sheets and towels were clean and stripped off the beds -There were pots, pans, dishes, silverware, everything needed to cook and eat. -There were even games, cards, paddle balls, roller-blades and books. All in all, I DON'T THINK I WILL EVER RENT A HOTEL AGAIN! And I hope you don't either. We had everything we would have had at a hotel EXCEPT "the claustrophobia" !! Great FIND!, GREAT RENTAL! Will recommend to all of our friends!

  We stayed at this location following a cruise and couldn't have had a better time!! What a super UNIQUE and beautiful space! We read a negative review and are never totally sure but this place turned out to be even better than we thought!! One of our highlights is the fact that this building is right on the beach and feels a lot like staying at a hotel!! You literally go down the hallway, down the elevator, walk past the shops and pool...and presto--your toes are in the sand. Its not a huge area like in South Beach, but was perfect for enjoying with friends--it was almost like we had our own private beach when we wanted it! We also walked and got to see the boat show being set up on the intracoastal waterway across the street but we cabbed it (or drove) each time we went to south beach (only a few minutes away). The loft itself was also very large and very "cool". Nice blend of warm & modern decor and for us--having a larger group--we definitely liked that it felt much BIGGER than a regular apartment! We absolutely LOVED THE BIG WINDOW (...I want one for home now) and the HIGH CEILINGS were awesome and definitely make the place!! This place came with pretty much everything, the beds were fine and the second level was very useful to store our suitcases. Another plus, the giant black leather wrap around couch combined w/all the other chairs and lounge spots also made it really comfortable for us to hang out as a group inside while talking, watching tv...etc. and we really liked the feel of the space. The owner was also very nice, very professional and took care of our every question and need. Aside being overly polite, what stood out about him is that he really took time to explain the property and the surrounding area when we called him to get more info/book. He even asked us detailed questions about our preferences and didn't try to "sell us" on the property AT ALL....(it was more the opposite really, more like he DOWNPLAYED how nice it is, but he explained that this tone is intentional on his part to help manage people's expectations). Anyway, great place in all....truthfully, it feels like a quality 3*** star beachfront hotel but the BENEFIT of staying in a large fully stocked LOFT (...and the accommodating owner) added the additional ** stars in our book! We will be back for our next cruise out of South Florida for sure!! Thank you!

  This place might be suitable for a small group of guys or for a very small family to stay in, however it is definitely WAY TOO SMALL for a big group of people. It's quite ridiculous that it's advertised for 8-10 people. We were a total of 8 girls who stayed here and it was way too cramped for us. Since there are no bedrooms & no closets there's nowhere to put your luggage so your luggage lays out all over the place your whole stay there. In addition, the place was VERY DISAPPOINTING IN PERSON COMPARED TO THE PICTURES ONLINE. The walls need a major paint job - they are very dirty, and all of the furniture is very dirty & old. In addition, the kitchenware that's provided is old & dirty. Speaking of the place feeling old & dirty - WE FOUND 2 LIVING COCKROACHES throughout our stay there & we were very good about putting away food all weekend. As for the amount of people who can stay there - the owner figures that 2 people will sleep in each bed. Each bed is small (like a twin size rather than a queen size) & one of the areas where you need to sleep you can't even sit up in bed without hitting your head - it's extremely uncomfortable & not safe. One of the beds is upstairs in the "loft" area which you have to get to through a staircase from the ceiling that you have to pull down that has a sign on it that basically states that they don't recommend you using this loft & that it's only for storage purposes! Additionally, the owner made a verbal agreement with me a couple of days before our stay there that we could check in by 12pm (instead of 3 pm). Well come day of check-in he wasn't ready for me until 3:30 p.m. & when I walked into the place it stunk of cleaning supplies & then when I walked around everything wasn't even that clean (which I pointed out to him). Lastly, when we called the owner to talk to him about his place we personally felt that the owner of the place spoke in a very aggressive, very mean, rude, and nasty tone and manner to us on the phone - to the point that we were scared and asked security in the building to please not allow him up to the condo if he came to the building. I read the negative reviews people gave before I stayed there but I didn't listen to them and instead I listened to the owners responses to the negative reviews .... I REALLY wish that I would have listened to the negative reviews in the first place.

  Owner response: The REAL Story: This tenant had reserved my unit WITHOUT consulting the rest of her group of 11(not 8)women. She liked the unit(…having chosen it herself as I’ll explain below),but once the OTHERS arrived & began complaining, she proceeded to threaten me & attack my character-all while DEMANDING full refund because(quote)“her friends were arguing & didn’t like the loft style”!?(True story!) -The Fact that I was totally honest & upfront in explaining my property (…discouraging more than 6-8 guests, carefully explaining sleeping arrangements & the lofted storage space BEFORE I agreed to accept her reservation--didn't matter! -The Fact that I had turned away 7 other groups (many of whom wanted to rent my unit for longer durations & higher $ amounts) AFTER I accepted her reservation--*was simply too bad for me*. -The Fact that the terms of the agreement were clearly outlined & that I HONORED my end of the deal was just plain irrelevant!I was to suffer the loss because she tried to be the UNELECTED leader of a group that turned against her!(..she even tried to later blame “her friends who pulled the phone away for saying such terrible things to me”->text msg screenshot & email exchange on file and available per request!) Still, it’s a horrible feeling for me to receive this type of feedback—not only because of the very unfair commentary but especially because of how 2-FACED people can be. I’m somewhat ashamed to admit that(while I carried her suitcases as we walked towards the loft & began discussing her trip to Miami) I had for a moment even thought that maybe I had just made a new friend out of a tenant (..as this often happens thru renting my loft but in this case I was very wrong) What’s worse is that we went from laughing & joking & even decorating the loft TOGETHER(in anticipation of the arrival of her other guests), to her now attempting to slander me as a person in public?!(…Have you no conscience?) We spent upwards of an hour together inside the loft (even taping up “firemen posters” & other decor on the walls she's now complaining about)! I made sure to help in every way & addressed every last detail of her stay. I didn’t leave until she said everything was “great” & even “thanked me so much for all my help”!**I will NEVER be able to understand how people like this can sleep at night!* P.S.   A great location in the city, and a nice resort. :) My family would recommend enjoying your stay here over anywhere else. Especially if you have the fortune to rent from such an understanding and polite person as we were. The staff are very kind and attentive too.

  Stayed here for 10 days with 4 of my friends over Thanksgiving break. We had an awesome time! The place is very open and spacious, very modern and unique. We loved the high ceilings and open window – such amazing sunsets! It had everything we needed to cook Thanksgiving dinner, which was great. The location was perfect because it was just a short cab away from South Beach, it was very close to the Fontainebleau (which has the best restaurants and clubs) and we had access to the beach and pool right out the back of the building. We spent some time at the Russian and Turkish bathhouse and the Tiki Bar was also fun. All in all, a great place to stay with a group of friends. Can't wait to come back and stay again! Thank you!

While it’s one thing to be unsatisfied, I take SERIOUS ISSUE if you are trying to imply that I, me, Gregory(..as the owner of the property & the person with whom you made your booking) “misled” you about anything!?! I was completely forthright, honest & did my best to set accurate expectations about my building & my unit. #2. In South Florida it very common for ANTS to show up when there is FOOD, crumbs etc. LEFT SCATTERED ABOUT in the OPEN. Also, it would be helpful if you were more specific in describing the “nasty smell” you reference as I PERSONALLY CLEANED THE UNIT MYSELF PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL and can tell you that some people find cleaning products(like bleach, floor cleaner and other disinfectants) to be offensive, others dislike the smell of food being prepared by neighbors with full kitchens. #3. RE: “uncomfortable mattresses & old linens”->there are 5 entirely DIFFERENT beds & 5 entirely different mattresses inside my LOFT but I'm sorry that NOT A SINGLE ONE of them was acceptable to you? (Perhaps your sleeping preferences are VERY SPECIFIC but it wasn't for a lack of options). Linens are typically replaced each season (or when destroyed) and there are 8-10 sets of them inside the unit. #4.“Check in process”?(your lack of detail leaves me unsure but) as I understand it, YOU WERE ABLE to check in, RECEIVED YOUR PACKAGES and were granted a late CHECKOUT WITHOUT ANY ISSUE?) Would love to know what could have been done to make the experience “smoother for you”? **FOR THE RECORD=>What this TENANT DOESN'T SAY is that she submitted an insultingly LOW-BALL $Offer that was FLAT OUT REJECTED by me. I politely told her that perhaps she'd be better off renting elsewhere(email exchange on-file &available per request). While she ultimately accepted my pricing, it seems this REVIEW is her attempt at REVENGE. CLASSY!

  I came across this listing and it immediately stood out from the rest. From the pictures I could tell right away that I liked the LOFT style w/huge windows, high ceiling and the fact that it was big enough to accommodate my entire group. When I contacted the owner directly to verify pricing, I received a (surprisingly) fast response along with a very favorable quote. It all seemed a bit too good to be true but my impression was that the owner came across as helpful, professional and honest (the person I dealt with was named Gregory). I tend to be weary of strangers--especially when money is being exchanged--so I only say this because (unlike everyone else) he took time to explain the surrounding area and even made sure to POINT OUT THINGS WE MAY NOT HAVE LIKED BEFORE HE agreed to accept our request to reserve! (things like: -the fact that the sleeping arrangements inside the LOFT were best described as being "semi-private" because there were no traditional private bedrooms w/doors...(a non-issue for us) -the fact that the beach directly in front of the building is typically only used by residents &guests and that it would be fairly secluded...so if we were "looking for the crowds" or hoping for "beach side food/drink service" we wouldn't find it there (again, we didn't care we just wanted the sand and blue ocean to be steps away) -that walking to the South Beach Strip "would take too long",and we were better off taking a cab or making the 5 minute drive... (...Again, this kind of blunt honesty lended him credibility and kudos in my book and made me feel better about the reservation). When we pulled up to the building we were met by the valet attendant and proceeded to check in with security. After waiting behind the group in front of us, we were registered, provided with our key and were able to check in to our unit. While it wasn't the Ritz Carlton, the AMENITIES the building came with (beachfront with pool, gym, valet parking and the rest) were a real nice touch and made us feel like we were staying in a resort vs. just a regular condo (...We found out the building is actually also a hotel and has hundreds of standard hotel rooms in addition to the special private residential Lofts units like the one we rented). Once inside we found the unit as pictured and it was clean and ready for our arrival. Great place for groups, and especially loft Lovers--the new york style description fits well). Will be back soon!
