Welcome to Walt's Place :)
With Walt's Place, we have gone out of our way to create a space that has something for everyone. Some of the VRBO's are great for kids, but have nothing to offer the adults, while in other cases, the homes are beautiful, but you are afraid for your kids to touch anything.
Walt's place is both a playland and a sanctuary modeled in the style of California's Historic Arts and Crafts era. You get the Grand quality of a nice Hotel with all the comforts of home.
Relax in front of the fireplace, take a dip in the pool, kick back with a video game... there is so much to do here IN ADDITION TO visiting the park.
We believe if you are paying the same rates as a quality hotel, you should get the QUALITY of a quality hotel with all the comforts of home. The difference of course is that there is enough room to split the cost between two families and you get so much more than just a room and two beds.
We promise you that when you walk into any room at Walt's Place you will be pleased. Walt was a visionary who brought his imagination to life through detail. We have put that same eye for detail into every corner of every room. Walk into the custom built kitchen, place a k-cup in the Keurig and enjoy a hot cup of coffee in seconds. Walk into the tiled master bath, and sink into a warm whirlpool bath. Enter the secret closet and be wisked into a magnetic fairyland with quiet toys. Curl up on the new leather couch in front of the flatscreen TV and relax with a show. Walk outside or glance out of the upstairs window to view the evening's fireworks. We want your stay to be an experience for you, not just a place to sleep.
Before every rental, everything is meticulously cleaned and fresh linens will be waiting for you. We enjoy vacationing, and have incorporated all the perks we have appreciated into Walt's Place. To all that enter into this place, Welcome.

I wanted to have my grandson's experience Disneyland with my husband and me. The condo has been perfect. 5 minute walk to Disneyland, 10 with tired little boys. You can see the fireworks from the upstairs bedroom. The house itself is beautiful with everything provided. The owners want to make sure you have a fun and relaxing stay. There are toys for all ages. There were special envelopes with a little present with each of the boys names. The stay has been delightful. Thank you to the owners.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This is by far the best VRBO that my family has stayed at. The owner’s attention to detail is phenomenal. They know what you need for a visit to Disneyland with kids and what you will most likely forget – like an umbrella stroller or a backpack for snacks. Not to mention ice packs, containers for snacks and even a book on special tips for visiting the area. Josh and Theresa had left special welcome gifts for all of us – and even thought about what we might need before we could find a grocery store. I really cannot say enough great things about our experience. I highly recommend staying here if you plan to visit Disneyland. There are toys for the kids, plenty of room for a large family to gather – and even sit down for a meal together. We plan to visit Disneyland again and we will not even look for another place. Our visit was amazing in large part due to Walt’s place. There was easy access to Disneyland and we were able to come home in the middle of the day for a quick break. We also enjoyed watching the fireworks from the master bedroom. The rooms were comfortable and I really appreciated the black out shades so our little ones didn't wake up with the sun. Thank you so much for sharing your home away from home with us.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children.

First off - Josh and Theresa are very accommodating. They always responded to our questions quickly and that was very helpful when we were planning our trip. Theresa even made a special trip once we were already there to bring us a baby gate for the stairs... service above and beyond. As for the house - as many others have described - it is very well equipped and extremely nice and clean. It immediately felt like home. We traveled with My wife and I, (31 years old) and our 2 kids (Ages 2 and 5), plus my wife's parents (60 & 61). The house was more than adequate for all of us. With the kids - it was really nice to be in a home instead of a hotel room. There is not a single thing in this house you could possibly need that isnt there. I would suggest you pack clothes, get groceries, and enjoy your vacation. There is no reason to re-iterate what everyone else has already said - but there is truly no downside to staying at this wonderful home. My thanks again to Josh and Theresa - we had a wonderful time.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

I cannot even begin to tell anyone how gorgeous and clean this house was. I am the type that has a hard time adjusting to hotels or other places we rent. I felt comfortable the moment I walked in. I even walked around with no shoes and socks which would never happen anywhere else. The rooms have so many disney details that is something you have to experience. It's been a month since I've been there and I still can't get over how beautiful it was. The homeowners let us use anything we needed. There was a map how to walk to Disney. And even when I got lost on the way back Josh was a phone call away to guide me back (and I had to admit to my husband I was wrong haha). I highly recommend this place!!! You will not be disappointed!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Two families of four stayed here for a week. The place was great. The owners were very organized, and sent us a very thorough email welcoming us and giving us amazing directions. The beds were comfortable. There were lots of toys for the kids. The decor was amazing with a kids room done in a Toy Story theme, and the guest room with Peter Pan Murals on the wall. The main room with ensuite was pretty cool with a four poster bed. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and we arranged ahead of time for Vons to drop off a load of groceries while our host was there preparing everything. Our host was great and made certain it was all in the fridge waiting for us. The owners did an amazing job with all the little details. It was wonderful. Getting to Disneyland was easy. It was about a 10 minute walk to the Trams, and then a 5 minute tram ride to Downtown Disney and the Park Gates. This might be a little longer than staying at the hotels on the east side of the park, but when you factor in the cost savings of eating breakfast and dinner at home, as well as the space to move about, I think it was well worth it. I highly recommend Walts Place and anticipate that we'll be back!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This was our first VRBO rental as we usually stayed in a hotel. We love having the space, especially with a toddler in tow. My daughter (5) loves loves loves Walt's place. She was so occupied in the secret play room that she forgot we were there for Disneyland. The children's room upstairs was so fun, too - cleverly arranged for a princess and a space ranger/cowboy. The kitchen was well stocked, cleaned, and very organized. We were able to make healthy breakfast and dinner for our 2 little ones and we only eat out for lunch. The home was beautiful and clean. The remote control fireplace was pretty awesome, too. :) Overall, we have a great stay and will definitely visit again.Recommended for: Families with young children.

Sorry for the delay! We went to Anaheim last year with our five youngest children to celebrate the end of my recent chemo treatment. Unfortunately on our return home I began having severe pain which turned out to be more cancer so it's been quite a ride since we were all at Walt's Plance. We had a wonderful stay, though, in May 2012. It was everything we hoped for and more. We absolutely loved the short walk to the tram. Each day at the park we would return to the condo to eat a meal and rest before heading out again. The children entertained themselves with all the toys and DVD's while Mom and Dad napped. Walt's Place is spacious, clean and safe. I couldn't reccomend it enough. The owners were so responsive to any of our questions or concerns. Thank you!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We are sad to leave tomorrow - such a wonderful place! The kiddos loved it, we loved it! Spacious, clean, charming - and stocked with almost anything you could think of! We truly felt like guests in someone's home. PERFECT for the kiddos - the kids bedroom could sleep five kids if needed and was perfect for boys and girls. My kiddos LOVED the little secret "fairy room" to play in. There were so excited to find envelopes with a little surprise in them for each of them when we arrived (thank you)!! The beds were all super comfy. Warm and inviting, easy walk to Disney! We have stayed in another condo in the same complex in the past and it doesn't even begin to compare! I don't know why we would ever stay at a hotel with everything Walt's Place has to offer! There is just no need AND it beats hotel prices! Thanks so much for letting us stay in your home! We loved it, and will definitely stay with you again! :) Lindsay, Steve, Tatum & Lily - Jim & Darline.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We spent a long weekend with 5 adults and 2 kids and had a perfect time. The owners were very organized and accommodating. They provided a nice touch with a little gift for each kid upon arrival. The home was filled with toys, Disney decor and my kids loved the playroom under the stairs. They were eager to return to the "magic house" each night after Disneyland. The walk to Disney was easy; barely longer than if one was staying at the Disneyland hotel. The location also made it easy to take the Disneyland express shuttle from SNA airport for those flying into town. Also, a keypad entry was perfect for our larger group that tended to split up and return home at different times. We would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children.

We rented this condo for us, our children, and our grandchildren. 11 in all. It was so awesome from the minute we opened the door. The decor is fabulous and tastefully done, the Kuerig coffee machine was a very nice surprise, the under the stairs playroom was so very special, and there was plenty of space for all of us. Oh, and the outdoor patio was great, too. We borrowed the double stroller that was in the garage (with permission, of course), and it saved the day in Disneyland. The owners called us to check on us and helped us know where to go, where to park, etc. We cannot recommend this place highly enough.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: We are a family of 4 who live close by. We are Disneyland lovers and regular annual passholders ourselves. We frequently stay at VRBO's by the park, and as a result, we know the pros and cons of staying at a vacation rental and with that in mind we have tried to create something that incorporates the best from our experiences as well as learning from the worst of them.
Why the Owner Chose Anaheim:
The Disney Resort is huge. You really can't do it all in one day and you need a place to which you can retreat. With a hotel you are limited in so many ways and if you have a large group, the hotel costs alone can kill your budget.
With a VRBO you have all the comforts of home with the convenience of being walking distance from the park. Two families can easily stay here for the same price that they would pay for a single hotel room.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Our property is modeled after the historic Arts and Crafts era of California history. It has a cozy, cottage-like atmosphere while still having plenty to entertain both your kids as well as yourselves.
