My family and I stayed here in June to celebrate my mom's birthday and we had a wonderful time overall. The house was in great shape and it was cozy yet spacious enough for 5 people. We enjoyed grilling, eating out on the deck, or having snacks in the sun room (also perfect for napping). For activities, we went to the beach/boardwalk one day, and also to Assateague, both of which were very short drives. It was lovely to see the ponies, although you should definitely load up on bug spray before you go! On our way back, there were a lot of farm stands with fresh produce, and we were also able to buy live/steamed crabs. Just a couple helpful hints: 1) We should have clarified with Ed whether linens would be provided (they are not). Thankfully, there is a mini-shopping outlet closeby with a Bed, Bath and Beyond where we were able to get some sheets and towels. The mall itself probably needs new businesses, so don't look for shopping there! 2) If you have recyclables at the end of your stay, separate and bring them to the nearby Home Depot parking lot where there are collection bins. 3) If you don't want to visit the fresh food stands or restaurants, there is a Walmart and a grocery store within a 10-minute drive. That's all - I hope this review was helpful! Enjoy your stay!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

My husband and I rented this unit for our 10th wedding anniversary weekend. It was wonderful. We could go in to OC for a while; and then come back and relax in this beautiful house. The master bedroom and luxury bathroom made it feel like we were staying in an upscale resort! We are already looking forward to our next stay at Stripers!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We love vacationing at this house! The location is perfect, just a few minutes off the main highway and all the main attractions on and off the boardwalk, but in a quiet, off the beaten track neighborhood that is great for short walks with the family. The house is always well maintained, clean and comfortable. The screened in porch is perfect for sitting outside in the evening! We hope to be able to go back every year!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, girls getaway.

We stayed at The Striper the summer of 2010 and enjoyed ourselves so much that we came back for the summer 2011! The house has all the amenities you could ask for - the photos give you an idea of just how nice this house is. Having our morning coffee on the back porch was so relaxing and eating crabs on the deck was wonderful. We were able to utilize the boat lift, but unfortunately for us, not the fish cleaning table. The setting is very relaxing. We were close to restaurants, Dumsers, the marinas, Assateague, the beach and boardwalk, and the outlets. Thank you Ed and Kathy, we had a wonderful time!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
