What a pleasant surprise this cottage was! This review is for the cottage located on the left, as Seaside Cottages has 2 units. Upon arrival Robert had just finished cleaning and the place was immaculate! You'll enter the cottage through the kitchen area (open concept), which provides all the appliances you'll need and has a nice breakfast bar, but here is also a dining table with chairs. Cutlery, flatware etc. is all provided and neat & tidy. The livingroom has a couch (sofabed) and 2 (new) leather chairs which are very comfy. A gas fireplace and a flatscreen tv completes the interior. Floor to ceiling window & a glass sliding door give the place a 'large' feel and the view is incredible (all the way to Quadra Island)! The huge deck contains the hottub, adirondack chairs, a wooden bench and to the side a bbq & table with chairs. The deck is also decorated with large green pots with colorfull flowers. From the deck you can access the (rocky) beach. The 2 bedrooms are a bit small, but with a queen bed each (also very comfortable) and the small bathroom (ample towels!) in between as well as a washer/dryer combination. We only stayed for 2 nights, but wouldn't have minded a longer stay and hope to visit again in the future! Everything CR has to offer is within driving range and the Quadra Island ferry is just 10 minutes away (Quadra is great for kayaking & hiking). We normally stay there, but this cottage was a better/more comfortable alternative for us. I would recommend this place for single travellers, 2 couples or small families: with more then 4 people it will become a bit tight. The owners Robert and Cathy are very nice to communicate with, the reservation process is easy and it is obvious they take very good care of the property.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We have stayed in both of the cabins and have always found them lovely. Clean, comfortable, close to anything you need and have the perfect view! Plenty of activities nearby including beautiful nature hikes and fresh or salt water fishing. Then you can warm up in the hot tub. We have recomended them to both family and friends.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

It was a great time we could spend in the lovingly furnished seaside cottage!!! The all-inclusive service to our lovely host parents was absolutly great and helpful for us (we arrivied late in the evening, but coffee and cream for the next days was in the house for us!!). My wife and I spend a wonderful weekend in mid September at the seaside cottage. The experience was remarkable. It was a weekend of total relaxation and serenity. The cottage had all the amenities of home and contributed to a most comfortable stay. Cathy and Rob were excellent hosts and they ensured that all of our needs were met. special thanks to Rob for providing a guided tour of the area and demonstrating fishing techniques (Joan and John, Nanaimo, BC)Did you find this review helpful? The cottage was perfect! We were gratefull for all the little extra touchs the owner provided; our dogs loved the doggie beds! The hot tub was especially welcome at the end of each day. :) We would recommend this rental to anyone of our friends and family, and would most definitly stay there again. We also recommned Archers Fishing as great way to spend the day. We caught five salmon; not to shabby for amatures, lol!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

It was the second time in this cottage, so we knew Cathy and Rob as the perfect hosts. The communication via mail and phone is perfect, they organized a lot of things in advance. It is intresting to chat with them and they are very intrested in helping the guests to make their stay as comfortable and interesting as possible. The cottage itself is equipped with everthing you will need, including new washing-machine and dryer and ending in the evening in the big hot tub at the wooden deck after dinner from the big gas-bbq. Everything is very clean and you will feel like home. The deck is close to the shore and you can see a lot of wildlife and sometimes cruiseships passing by. Rob also organizes fishing-tours, we did it both times we stayed there ansd it was amazing!! Next time when we will be on the island we will stay there again. Thank you for the nice times we had at your place. very good location, right on seaside, very clean and well-maintained. Owner is very friendly and we had a very good stay and enjoyed watching eagles-flying from the deck in the morning and countless stars in the evening in the hot-tub. Absolutely recommend this property to friends or relatives who are looking for romance or adventure. It's a very friendly and relax community and the National Day Fireworks is fantastic.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The cottage was charmingly decorated and the view was extraordinary. Salty the seagull made an appearance at breakfast time and Peter the rabbit took in the view each day while keeping his eyes peeled for a hungry eagle. We had perfect weather during our stay, but I would stay in the cottage no matter what time of year it was as it was so relaxing and the view was ever changing and hynotic. I have recommended the Seaside Cottage to everyone who has asked me how my weekend in Campbell River turned out and even to those who haven't asked. We had an awesome 4 day weekend and wished it could have been longer as we hated to leave the cottage. The location of the cottage was perfect to sightsee and enjoy all the area has to offer.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My Husband and I have stayed at Seaside Cottage a few times now, and it's never been disappointing. The cottage is very clean and well stocked, the hot tub and new bar area are great, the beds are very comfy, love having the dishwasher, barbecue and washer and dryer as well...all the comforts of home away from home! The gas fireplace is wonderful on those cooler nights.. We usually cook at the cottage, but have gone for chinese take-out at a place called Driftwood Restaurant about 10 minutes drive south of Seaside cottage (excellent food!), and we've had breakfast right across the street from the cottage at a little cafe...the grocery store just down the street a 2 minute walk is very handy as well. The hosts are very accommodating in allowing pets, and we've brought our dog with us a couple of times...they provide a dog bed as well!! When we go stay at Seaside it's always for R & R...just needing the getaway to relax...but the location would be perfect for sightseeing as well, very close to Campbell River and Mount Washington...lots to see and do...Love the cottage and definately will be back!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I rented the cottage from Dec 30-Jan 2 and we were planning to go skiing. The hot tub was a perfect way to relax each evening with a glass of wine and listening to the waves crash. During the day we were able to enjoy a relaxing walk along the sea wall - a great waking path along the water. The beds were fabulous, duvets and pillows - great nite sleep. Just steps away are coffee shops, pizza places, grocery store etc.. so even though we were 'away' it was just steps to any of our needs. I wasn't too sure about having TV, but proved to be great for watching hockey.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We use this property when ever we have to stay over night in town, sometimes on as little as an hours notice. They go out of their way to accomadate us. Always clean, the cottages have all amenities required to enjoy your stay and not to mention the breathtaking ocean/mountain views from the hot tub on the large deck, which also includes a BBQ. Close to shopping, resturants and local sites, the cottages seem miles away from all hustle and bustle that help to soothe your daily worries and stress awayRecommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Seaside Cottage is a warm cosy well equipped haven with spectacular uninterrupted views across the Strait of Georgia from Cape Mudge to Taxas Island and access directly onto the pebble beach. From the sun deck you can view whale dolphin porpoise orca seals the teeming birdlife and if very lucky the otters may pay a visit. A stroll along the reef at low tide will give you a glimpse into the myriad colourful creatures that live under the sea. On our most recent visit even the northern lights put on a magical display. I guarantee the first thing you do each morning is to stand for a few minuets and drink in the view through the wall to wall east facing picture windows. Catch your supper of salmon, cutthroat trout or flounder fresh from the sea straight in front of the cottage or if you have no luck another short stroll takes you to the food store, coffee bar, liquor store, 2 x pizza shops & 2 x pub/restaurants. Perfectly located for easy access to Campbell River 15 minuets drive north or Courtney & Comox 45 minuets south. For the more adventurous take a day out to Tofino through spectacular Cathedral Grove or north to Port Hardy past glistening lakes and rivers. Fishing hiking kayaking snorkelling skiing mountaineering nature watching or just lazing the day away soaking up the sun and clean sea air whatever your passion it’s within easy reach at Seaside Cottage. We just love it here thank you so much Cathy & Rob.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family (5 adults and 2 children) stayed at Seaside Cottage for our visit to Campbell River. The hosts were extremely helpful and we had each one of our requests dealt with quickly and efficiently. We were so happy we took them up on the offer of breakfast being included it was more than ample for the amount of days and number of guests. The cottage is within walking distance of a good supermarket, take away food, bottle shop and pharmacy so we didn't need to hop in the car which was great. It is a very relaxing spot and the hot tub on the deck was a huge hit with the family. The cottage itself is very clean and nicely decorated and had everything we needed for our stay. The bedding was all very comfortable and we did manage with 7 people and one bathroom. The cottage has it's own washing machine and dryer and this was very handy with young children. Once there just sit back on the deck and watch the boats go by. We would highly reccommend this accommodation.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
