Cosimo and his mother Alberta have set up a perfect apartment to use for your Florence holiday. Fully supplied for all the needs of my friends and me. We had breakfast together each morning in the apartment and then all went our ways exploring the wonders of Florence. The apartment is perfect situated for the market at San Lorenzo, and the amazing Central Food Market is a 7 minute walk away and a full service grocery store is just around the corner. Clean, nicely appointed and very comfortable. We were originally supposed to be 2 persons, but I met up with some other friends traveling and Cosimo permitted the accommodation with a minimal additional charge. This is great value and location.Recommended for: Families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My husband and I stayed in this lovely apartment for five days over the week between Christmas and New Years. We couldn't have asked for a better location--everything was within close walking distance, and we were grateful that the building had a lift, since I'd recently injured my leg and stairs would've been impossible for me. The apartment is very airy and bright, and has everything you could possibly need (including a tourist map, a handy folder of local restaurant business cards, and a variety tour brochures), and having a washing machine (with detergent provided!) was also very helpful since we had already been travelling for a week and this allowed us to pack a bit more lightly than we might have otherwise done. We didn't have an opportunity to meet our landlord, Cosimo, but we can't say enough how lovely and helpful Alberta, his mother, was! Among other things, she very kindly helped us arrange for a taxi for our departure to the airport (for early on New Year's day), since there is no phone in the apartment, and we didn't have an international cell phone. The only potential issue with this apartment is that it overlooks a piazza that is sort of a pass-through between the Pza Sta Maria Novella and the Duomo, so we had a few nights with loud people walking through. Additionally, there are communal garbage bins located on the edge of the piazza, just below the apartment. The local restaurants dropping off all of their trash and bottles late at night after closing, and the garbage trucks coming to empty them multiple times a day (or so it seemed), particularly early in the morning, were fairly loud. The reason I say that this is a "potential issue", though, is that we were here in winter, so the noise was somewhat muted by closed windows, and we also sleep really soundly anyway, so we wouldn't personally count it as a negative, but I thought it was worth mentioning because it might be problematic for anyone who's a light sleeper, especially if you're visiting in the summer when the windows might be open. We absolutely enjoyed the stay and truly loved the apartment. We would most definitely stay here again, and hope we have an opportunity to do so!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We loved our stay here. Wonderful accommodations in the heart of Florence. The apt. is very clean and spacious with a lovely view of the Medicee Chapel. Everything was within walking distance. Making reservations was easy and directions given provided quick access from the train station. We are very grateful to the owners who were so helpful and considerate. Can't wait to go back!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

The apartment was perfect for our six night stay in Florence. We could walk everywhere from its location and with the Marcato Centrale just around the corner it was great to have a kitchen to prepare food. The owners provide a book with restaurant recommendations so we didn't have to waste our time and money with poor choices for dining out. All of their recommended restaurants were super. In one restaurant, we were the only tourists eating there. I would add one though, Trattoria ZaZa. The only negative is that it was noisy at night but I imagine that is true no matter where you stay in Florence. Florentines tend to stay up late and are noisy. If you are a light sleeper, take earplugs or a white noise ap for your smart phone. We also wished they would have provided a fan. Other than that the apartment was well equipped.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My 10 year old son and I spent three days in this apartment and loved every minute. From the wonderful views, central location, clean and well-stocked apartment, we couldn't have asked for anything more. I made a point of waking up early every morning to open the windows so I could enjoy the view and people watch while I drank my coffee. My son keeps talking about his trip to Italy and said that Florence ( and the apartment) was his favorite part.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

A very nice apartment with all equipment you need, very comfortable, opposite the Cappelle Medicee and the San Lorenzo church. Wonderful view! Perfect location in the center of Florence! You can easily walk to every remarkable museum and church in Florence, from the apartment! Unbeatable! I also recommend a visit to the lovely village Fiésole, only 4 km from Florence! The owner very nice and ready to help! A superb vacation for 10 days!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

This apartment was just what we were looking for. The location is perfect, less than 5 minute walk from the train station. My daughter & I loved being in the center of a lot of action, even though it was noisy at night. We were busy enough during the day that we easily slept through the late night revelers. The kitchen was stocked with more than we could have ever needed. As for things to do, bike riding in Chianti and hiking in Cinque Terre were the best 2 tours I've ever done! I would stay in this apartment again if I was lucky enough to get to go to Florence again!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Enjoyed staying at this lovely apartment. Compact yet open and bright. Well equipped with necessities, especially appreciated the mini music library and art books. Feeling like at home and couldn't ask for more. Being closed to SMN, it means after a long day trip, you won't need to walk far to get your feet up! Thanks for the owner's welcome hospitality and their friend Tiziana's service. Highly recommended.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We had a wonderful time. Stayed here for 2 weeks. Wonderful location in in a historical building in the heart of the old town, in the main tourist area. Central Train and bus station for trips are less than 2 minutes walking from the apartment. It's very comfortable if you want to visit other cities near Florence (I visited Siena, Pisa and Chianti). The apartment is perfect for one or two people and is much better than any hotel, in my opinion. It was very clean and well maintained, very bright. We have no complaints and look forward to a repeat visit in the future! Everything was clean and well equipped, including wi-fi internet. The owner was very helpful and friendly. She was easy to reach and reacted on emails quickly. The location is just as promised: close to the Duomo, restaurants, markets and other tourist attractions. San Lorenzo Market is just around the corner.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
