  Great little cabin for a relaxing summer get away. The kids spent hours playing in the creek right next to the cabin while we relaxed in the gazebo. Crater Lake is a great day trip less than an hours drive away. There is also fun hiking within walking distance of the cabin that takes you down to the river for a fun day of wading, water fall viewing and rock hopping. The little town of Union City on the way to Crater Lake has great pie and giant ice cream cones and a beautiful hike along the raging river. I would highly recommend this cabin for a relaxing get away and outdoor adventure.

  Having stayed for four nights with two adults and two kids we enjoyed the calmness, the creek in the yard and the space for the kids to play outside. The cabin itself is rustic, however, bathroom and kitchen provide all amenities. We would definitely rent the log cabin again - very conveniently located.

  My family and I enjoyed a lovely, relaxing, stress-free week at this Log Cabin in Prospect, Oregon! It was a perfect Get Away to escape from the hectic pace we usually keep up with when at home. We loved playing games and cards, doing a puzzle, fishing, reading and generally "hanging out"!!! There is a very nice TV with DVD player there, so we enjoyed watching movies at night. The town of Prospect has an eclectic little local market, so walking to the store to pick up various supplies was easy! There is even a little pizza place right in town, as well as the Prospect Hotel for a more "up scale" meal out, or for enjoying a glass of wine on their wonderful veranda! We enjoyed drives to visit the BEAUTIFUL Crater Lake and other surrounding sights - there are SO MANY Water Falls to explore in the area!!! There are so many choices for hiking in this area, and we were able to find water falls at the end of just about all of our "explores"! One other comment about places to eat in the area: Don't miss visiting Beckie's in Union City! But when you go, go HUNGRY! They really fill the plates up with food - all of which is very much "home-made"! Their pie is delicious! One other comment about the cabin: it is lovely and we truly enjoyed our stay there - but you do need to know that there is not a dishwasher in this quaint log cabin. We bought paper plates to minimize washing dishes, and we all brought our own reusable water bottles so we didn't have so many glasses to wash. Otherwise, the stove, oven, fridge and outdoor BBQ served us perfectly for meal prep! This is a place that we will look forward to returning to in the future!

RENTAL AGREEMENT . THIS IS A NON-SMOKING CABIN SECURITY DEPOSIT: A $39.00 non-refundable Property Damage Protection (PDP) fee is required. The rental includes a PDP policy providing up to $1,500 in property damage protection. Renters are responsible for damage beyond the coverage provided by the accidental damage insurance. Renters will be completely responsible for any and all damage to the home or property whether accidental or due to negligence. Renters must notify the owners if any damage occurs. NO PETS: No pets of any kind are permitted inside the cabin. NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted inside the cabin. PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS: Please see the quote sent to you via VRBO. Please follow the payments instructions. Credit card is the preferred payment. CANCELLATION POLICY: Thirty days is required for a full refund. No refund will be made after occupancy has been taken. CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT: Check-in is 3:00 P.M. and check-out is not later than 11:00 AM. However, we may be able to accommodate you with an earlier check-in or later check-out time, so please don’t hesitate to ask. KEY ACCESS: The key will be placed in a combination lock box prior to your arrival. The lockbox is located on the front porch to the left of the front door. When you check-out, please lock the front door and replace the key inside the lockbox. ON SITE AWARENESS: This is a rustic cabin with uneven natural surfaces inside and out, unlit pathways and a creek with fast moving water. Please do not allow children to roam unsupervised inside or out the cabin. Please understand that wildlife is in the area. We do not advise leaving any food items outside the cabin. Fishing Mill Creek is always permitted with the proper Oregon State Fishing License. Enjoy the outdoors but also respect the outdoors. FURNACE: There is an oil furnace in the cabin. To adjust the temperature, hit the up or down arrows then hit “set”. TRASH DISPOSAL: The cabin trash can is located outside of the cabin. Please dispose all of your trash throughout the cabin prior to check-out. DO NO LEAVE TRASH on either the front porch or creek side deck as trash will attract raccoons, coyotes and bears. Trash pick-up day is early Friday morning. Please put out trash for pick-up Thursday night. FOR YOUR COMFORT AND CONVENIENCE: Many items are provided. Feel free to use or eat anything you might find in the cupboards or closets.
