  We recently rented the garden house for a quiet getaway and we were very pleased with the property. It was well stocked (we brought food to cook most of our meals) and it was extremely clean. Our chihuahua loved walking in the neighborhood. It is close to walking trails in Fiscallini Ranch and plenty of restaurants are nearby. We recommend Moonstone Beach Bar and Grill for a romantic dinner date. If you're looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay in Cambria, look no further.

  I've stayed in many vacation rental homes and this has been one of my best experiences. First, the home itself is great. I've stayed in places before where the pictures look a lot better than the actual place when you see it. For this house, the pictures looked great and were very representative of the actual house. It is the perfect size for 2-4 people (2 couples could easily stay here since there are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms). The entire home has been updated. There is an amazing back patio/garden area where you can lounge around, bbq, and enjoy the hot tub. The host (Amy) was also great. She was very helpful as we prepared for our trip. She left different notes around the house to help you figure things out. She also emailed me some videos to ensure I didn't have any problems with the central air/heat, using the TV, etc. The house is about 1 mile from downtown Cambria. You could walk but its not great for that since you have to cross or walk down a busy road. Its very easy to drive into downtown Cambria and find parking. The house was about 30 mins from a lot of wineries in Paso Robles and its a beautiful drive there. I would love to come back to this house and would recommend it to anyone.

  Owner response: Frank and his guest were great! They left the house is such nice condition, making very easy for the cleaners to deep clean preparing for the next guest. We absolutely love this house and put a lot of ourselves into the remodel and garden! To have someone stay that enjoys and respects the place as much as we do is a real pleasure! We do hope Frank finds his way back to Cambria and Our little Garden House soon.

  Our stay at the Green Garden House was quite enjoyable. Once you pass through the front gate, you really are in a world of you own. We four adults were comfortable in the home and enjoyed our time spent in the many garden spaces watching the many humming birds, woodpeckers, bluejays (among others) and we also enjoyed the fresh bounty of herbs and fruit that were available to us. That being said, a trip back to the Green Garden House and the friendly community of Cambria is definitely in our future.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

  My husband and I have visited Cambria every year for the last 23 years. In the past, we stayed in local hotels, but wanted a more home-like experience for our most recent trip. Our stay here was just idyllic. The house has been beautifully remodeled in the mid-century modern style and has a serene, open, airy quality to it. The master bedroom and living areas open out onto a fabulous deck and well-kept garden that surrounds the house on all sides. You can walk, sit, or meditate in the garden -- it's quiet and private. The house itself has very high quality fixtures and unique features. The materials, mostly wood, stone and tile, were carefully selected and hand finished. The house is a destination on its own! Add to it the surrounding beauty -- it is in a quiet neighborhood, just a short hike from Fiscalini Ranch trails, and over the hill is Cambria, with all its restaurants, shops, and art galleries. We can't give this house a high enough rating! We are certain to return, and stay longer next time.

  Lovely gardens & spacious interior! Minimal decor & furnishingings suit the space well. The master bedroom has no closet, but there is a large closet in the office, just next to it. The garden & house is larger than it appears in photos. One of the owners, Amy, met us and took the time to show us the property & explain a few details. It's clear the owners care about the property and maintain it well. Quiet residential neighborhood. The gardens are beautifully kept & a peaceful place to sit and watch the birds while enjoying a morning cup of coffee. If you are looking for a place within waking distance to town or the beach, this is probably not the place for you. While it is walkable to town, it's a good 20 minutes hike with hills. However, if you are looking for a place a little removed but within a few minutes drive to town or the beach, this place is a great choice.
