  We stayed there last year for 3 nights and all was okay... It was a cozy cabin like feel...Nice screened porch. Master BR was okay size....very small bathroom and tiny shower. Overall it wasn't very clean.. would make a big difference if carpet was replaced. Long rocky walk to the lake and no lake views from house at least in the summer...all woods. Don't use too many towels or they will charge you more money for cleaning and will take it out of your deposit. This was a reasonable price but the fact that they charged more for using a few more towels kind of left a bad taste...

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  Owner response: This tenant was upset that she was charged $50 for using all of our towels (around 30) and leaving them for the maid to wash. The maid was paid for the extra time this took her. The place is cleaned weekly and deep cleaned every month. The carpet is relatively new and is top quality Stainmaster. The view of the lake is partially obscurred but the trees are beautiful and provide shade to the house and path. This has been a vacation rental for over five years. We have many repeat customers and very positive responses. These comments were all about the towels.

  This place is so very clean! I did not see one single bug (except for the outside flying ones!). The screened in porch was great. I could relax on theoutside couch with my laptop (the wfi worked all of the time). The kids enjoyed fishing off of the dock and i enjoyed reading under the covered part. Very calm place to stay. The air worked great, the master bed was comfortable. The kitchen was a little small but all of the appliances were updated and worked. The TV with surround sound was great!! It was easy to work with the owner. You will enjoy this little chalet in the woods!!

The new 46" high definition TV and Surround Sound has truly enhanced the family movie night experience. The lake is now full to the brim with crystal clear water just waiting for everyone to come and enjoy. Bring your toothbrush and be ready for the time of your life.   My husband and I spent 3 relaxing months at the Chalet. It is comfortable and has all the amenities needed to make you feel at home including a fireplace. The beds are very comfortable, and if you have kids they will love the spacious loft with 2 double beds and a TV. We really enjoyed the big screened-in porch overlooking the lake and sometimes ate our meals out there. One of the things we did for fun with our grandchildren ages 4 and 6 was a 20 minute trip to the "Interactive Neighborhood for Kids" in Gainesville. After 4 hours they had to be bribed to leave. We took a couple of trips to Dahlonega (30 minutes away) to go through a gold mine and visit the wonderful little shops in this quaint town. When I wasn't shopping there I was at the North Georgia Premium Outlets which is only 12 minutes away. We took a trip into Atlanta to see one of the best aquariums in the world. For dinner we often got take-out from Big D's Barbeque on the corner of Hwy 53 East & GA 400. It has yummy southern barbeque. My husband and I both love fishing and fished off the large dock where we caught lots of catfish, largemouth bass up to 5 lbs. and striper - one was 15 lbs. We observed many Charter boats fishing right in the area. We were also happy that there was a new large fishing supply and bait shop about 15 minutes away. We had a great relaxing time and hope to return next winter. The owners are easy to communicate with.
