This is the ultimate vacation getaway!
Built in 1890, this character house has been completely renovated with a modern and industrial look and feel - come inside to enjoy an awesome combination of woods, metals, and materials.
Walk past the lovely porch swing and into the main level which is well appointed and packed full of memory-making capabilities: large Living Room with entertainment center and large flat screen TV, Game Room with Foosball table and bar top, and a game room with TV console, board games, books, and 2 twin fold-out beds. The modern kitchen is fully equipped to make cooking at home a pleasurable experience. You'll find stainless steel appliances, glass cook top, oak cabinets, and a large breakfast bar. There are two primary dining areas - one indoors that features quality wood and metal turn-buckles and one outdoors on the brick patio - both of which seat 8.
The upstairs features 3 bedrooms that all include queen size beds with high-end plush mattresses and feature contemporary furniture and fixtures. All bedrooms are unique in character (2 of which have window seats) and all feature angled ceiling and built-in charm. Both full bathrooms in the upstairs are quite unique - one features a rain shower and pedestal sink while the other has a wonderful original cast iron soaking tub (with bamboo wine & book caddie!).
The primary feature of this home and the namesake of the property is a one-of-a-kind ‘Eagles Nest’. Pull down the ladder from the upstairs ceiling and you’ll climb up into a glass enclosed observation tower full of windows and accompanying seating area where you have a perfect vantage point of Pikes Peak and downtown Colorado Springs. Open the sliding door from the Eagles Nest and you can enjoy the outdoor tiled patio with wonderful teak Adirondack Chair, foot lounger, and side table.
This charming home was designed for your vacationing pleasure. Located in the heart of downtown yet set aside in a quiet neighborhood, you can walk to all the best shopping, restaurants, and events in Colorado Springs in 5 minutes, including close proximity to Colorado College. Plus+ there is a wonderful park, playground and creek less than 1 minute away. You can even walk the bike path to an awesome coffee shop! The drive to Old Colorado City is 10 minutes or Manitou Springs is 15 minutes. Plus we're just blocks away from the Olympic Training Center if you're coming in for an athletic event.

The whole house was very welcoming and enjoyable. We were very impressed by all of the household items that were provided for us, even cupcake pans and coffee. I was able to bake for the birthday we were celebrating and enjoy my cup of coffee in the morning. My absolute favorite part about this house is the EAGLES NEST.... for my first trip to Colorado I could not have imagined my trip without that view every morning! Now for next time I need to make sure that I have even more time to spend at the house, one weekend was not nearly enough time! :)Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

It was a pleasure to have room for 7 of us to cook, eat, relax and sleep, for basically the price of a hotel room. We could easily walk to downtown venues and so did not have to have a car for everyone everywhere we went.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

My brother got married this past weekend. My family and kids stayed at this home for about 4 days and we enjoyed every minute of it. The house was close to pretty much everything we needed. Kids enjoyed the eagles nest. And my mom enjoyed the big kitchen that she was able to cook for everyone, especially my brother who misses her homemade food. The house was spacious, and great that it had 3 bathrooms, which was really needed when getting ready for a big event. Thanks again Steve.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Our "big house" in Colorado Springs

We had a great time in Colorado Springs and this rental house was a major part of why we enjoyed our time there so much. The house was more than enough room for 3 adults and 2 children. We referred to the house as "the big house" since it has 2 stories. After 2 days back at or single story house, our 2 year old still asks to go back to the "big house" and our 5 year old wants to build an "eagle's nest" on our house so we can go exploring like we did every night in Colorado Springs. The house was very clean, the kitchen well-stocked with some extra little snacks, the pack-n-play and high chair made things so much easier for us, the views were great, location was great... We couldn't have asked for more.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We were very impressed with this house. Very nice accomodations and details. The kitchen is stocked with whatever you need. The location is central in a safe neighborhood that is close to everything. There is a park a tenth of a mile away for kids to play. We spent our Thanksgiving vacation at the Eagle's Nest and we fell in love with the house. The property has a delightful charm to it and the owner has seen to every detail to allow for the comfort of the guests. We will definitely make this home part of future vacation plans in Colorado Springs. It is convenient to everything in the Colorado Springs area. We ate our Thanksgiving meal at MacKenzie's Chop House and it was very special. Thank you Michelle for your help in finding such a great meal and for making this home available to us.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
