Immaculate and completely private 2 bedroom, 1 full bathroom beach house right on 5 miles of sandy beach on the Caribbean ocean. If you want three bedrooms rent the upper level also. Excellent bone-fishing and snorkeling right out your front door. Beach House Villa is located on a privately owned peninsula with a turtle preserve (which cannot be built on) as it's neighbor to the east. If you like to get away from it all and relax on a romantic beach while finding seashells and sponges, this villa is for you.
Villa has a master bedroom which can have one king bed or two twins (specify prior to renting). A screened lanai, a fully equiped kitchen areas and living/entertainment area. Tiled throughout. Sit out on the lanai to eat your dinner while watching the spectacular sunset. House is impeccable. Ceramic tile throughout. Fresh water in the villa along with a wide selection of DVD's (of your choosing - see selection).
Bikes and Kayaks are optional upon request. All new furniture.
Salt Pond/Thompson Bay is the most desirable place to be on the island due to it's central location in the middle of the island. Salt Pond is the annual site of the Long Island regatta. The villa is located on a privately held peninsula off the main road Queens. In Salt Pond you will find well stocked grocery stores, a local restaurant, gift shop, dive shop, cave tour, video and DVD rentals, gas station. To the north there are gourmet restaurants, a local clinic with emergency helicopter, marina's, and the Columbus monument. To the south there are more restaurants, museum, cave exploring, blue hole, etc.
Long Island is 'the prettiest island' of the Bahamas. It is perfect for families. The island is a divers paradise. On the west side of the island are calm beautiful endless beaches of the Caribbean Sea (you will find our villa here). On the east side, you will find rocky shorelines on high cliff's and windy breezes from the Atlantic Ocean where waves crash against sharp cliffs.

Words cannot describe the beauty of this location. The weather was always 80 - 83 degrees with a tiny breeze making it very comfortable on this side of the island. We were blown away visiting the Atlantic side of the island, so we are very happy that we chose the caribbean side. We walked for miles on the beach in front of the house without seeing a single person. My husband caught some fighting bonefish in front of the house while I enjoyed basking in the sun watching the dolphins swim by. The sunsets from inside the lanai are to die for. The islanders are truly friendly an amazing people! Although the villa was secluded it was only about one or two miles away to the only real grocery stores (2) on the island. This was VERY handy as we kept forgetting to buy some items and had to keep going back quite often. Thank you for the incredible stay, we will definitely be back.Did you find this review helpful?
