This house is a fully furnished 3 bedroom, 2 bath vacation home, located on a hill-top with spectacular panoramic views of the city of Tucson and surrounding mountains. This Southwest ranch style home, located on a three acre site, is surrounded by the lush Arizona desert with many towering Saguaros. Wildlife is abundant, with daily visits from quail, cotton tails, ground squirrels, woodpeckers, and hawks. Coyotes, javalinas, deer and roadrunners can also be observed but not as often.
This is a private home on 3 acres bordering the Santa Catalina Natural Area. This 2,387 sq.ft. Southwest ranch designed home is beautifully built in the northeast Catalina Foothills near Mt. Lemmon with scenic views of sunsets and Tucson. Mt. Lemmon juts up 9,000 feet above sea level in the Santa Catalina Mountains north of our house. The journey to Mt. Lemmon begins with travels first through a saguaro desert , then into oak and pine covered mountains with spectacular rock formations. Soon you will reach Rose Canyon Lake, a trout fisherman's delight. Ski lifts are located in a small village, Summerhaven, at the top of Mt. Lemmon.
The open floor plan makes this home ideal for entertaining. The large covered patio area, pool, and hot tub are great for relaxing and enjoying the scenic views. There are two king beds and one queen size bed, and one of the king beds can be converted to two twins if needed. The home is ideal for golfers, bicyclists, hikers, runners, skiers and individuals who enjoy privacy with a spectacular view. It is also great for those wishing to escape cold winters. The Tucson climate is traditionally warm throughout the year and you will find that you can enjoy golf, tennis, hiking, and other outdoor activities year round
There are lots of great activities within 15 miles of the property. The area's best golf, bike paths, parks, restaurants, movie theaters, library, shopping, and various Farmer's markets are all nearby, as well as the Art & Music Festival held at various times of the year. The Accenture Match Play Golf Tournament is about a 34 minute drive, and the gem show is in January and February. Horseback riding rental in Catalina State Park, as well as nature viewing and hiking is right outside your door. There are many churches close by, the University of Arizona UMC hospital is 13 miles away, and Saguaro National Park is 9 miles. Other area attractions include the Pima Air & Space Museum, Reid Park Zoo, and Tuscon Botanical Gardens.

Excellent property, excellent location! The bedrooms are all a good size and well-supplied with linens and towels; bathrooms large and airy - showers only, no baths. The kitchen has everything you need - dishes, utensils, pots and pans, and there is a great barbecue on the patio. The patio is wonderful, shaded or open - you choose. Seating and dining areas overlook the pool and ideal for watching fantastic sunsets across pool and valley. Pool was a trifle cold but refreshing in the heat of the day. Sit still morning or evening and see the wildlife in the gardens. Location! Location! Location! You are secluded yet close to everything - hiking or horse riding in the saguaro-filled desert, exploring up the mountain on foot or by car, and all of this within easy reach of downtown Tucson.Did you find this review helpful? We arrived late in Tucson so headed to the house after dark. The only difficulty was finding the actual turnoff since it is not really marked. It comes just before the brown Summerhaven highway sign. We couldn't have asked for a more fabulous location. The sights of Tucson and mountain and desert all around us were gorgeous. I'm sure, in the summer months, the pool and hot tub would be great to enjoy. The house layout seemed fine, the living area quite roomy for the 3 of us. The property seemed very clean. The kitchen supplies were a little sparse but for 3 we got along fine. We found the location of the house very convenient for all the places we wanted to go, i.e. AZ-Sonora Desert Museum, Saguaro Nat. Park east and west, Tubac, Tumacaconi,San Xavier del Bac, Tochono Chul, Casa Grande. Once you catch on to the main streets you can manuever around quite well. I would definetly have a good Tucson map available to use in navigating. I would highly recommend this house for its location and scenery and a quiet setting away from the main hustle and bustle of the city. Kevin was a great help to us and explained the layout well. We really enjoyed ourselves and would love to visit again and would certainly recommend this property.Owner response: We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us! Thank you for your positive review. We are sorry the kitchen supplies were not where they were supposed to be and we will correct that in the future. We hope you can stay with us again!

Everything was great about this place. Big rooms, very comfortable, great kitchen, beautiful light. The views are incredible. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Pool was too cold for use in November, but I'm sure it's fantastic other times of year, and fine for some even when cold. Hot tub was great, though!Owner response: Thank you so much for your review! We are so glad you had a nice stay and that the house met your expectations. Please let us know if you would like to stay with us again in the future!

The house was a spacious split level house. It is in a quiet location surrounded by natural landscape. I would suggest bringing binoculars if you have them as there is a lot of wildlife, especially birds. The view of the valley is expansive and at night stars are plentiful. The house is brighter than most Arizona homes with lots of windows and the temperature remains comfortable. There is always a breeze but it can be windy in the early evening. The large kitchen is well equipped. Both bathrooms are large and the bedrooms are spacious. You are at the foot of Mount Lemon which is a beautiful day trip to see some of the variety of Arizona's habitats (it's about 20 degrees cooler) and have a picnic.Did you find this review helpful? The house was a great place to center all our activities around. After hiking, biking, and sightseeing we would settle out on the deck to relax and watch the sunsets and the resident hawk. We even had a javelina go jogging by one evening while having dinner outside. We truly enjoyed ourselves. Thanks!Owner response: Thank you for the great review. That is what is great about this property. If you want to just hangout, rest and enjoy the great views, cycle, golf or go shopping it is a great place stay. I think we have it all. thanks again.

Comfortable, spacious, clean, and a prime location for a home away from home! Outdoor patio, pool, and hot tub were our favorite spots to relax and enjoy an overview of Tuscon day or night. This property was within a short driving distance to Arizona National Golf Course, Safeway, and several eating establishments. If you are looking for peace and serenity as well as a short driving distance for entertainment this home will meet your needs.Owner response: Thank you so much for your review. We feel we have one of the best views of Tucson and the mountains in the area. There are real advantages of being off the beaten path where there is the peace and serenity we all need at times, but still be within minutes of recreational areas including the high mountains, local golf courses, cycling routes, dining establishments and shopping services. We hope to be able to provide for your needs in the future. It is our desire to continue to improve upon the location and have several improvement projects planned throughout the year to include replacing the chain link fence and adding a putting green.

This was a very comfortable home with great views from the foothills of Mt Lemon. The photos represented the home perfectly, it was clean, and the property manager easy-going. They still need to do some finishing touches on the remodel, but overall it was a nice place to stay. Things we didn't expect but appreciated were clean beach towels, new hair dryers and iron, DVD player and wi-fi. It's a shame the fireplace didn't work because it was unseasonably cool during our stay. But, watching sunsets from a hot tub made up for that!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Nan, thank you for your very nice review. We are very proud of our vacation rental house. We are still working on the finishing touches for the remodel. This is our first year renting and we do appreciate all of the feedback we can get. I think we have the best views of any home in the foothills. Thanks again and we will be looking forward to sharing again with you next year. Terry

Our purpose in Tucson was triathlon training. This house was great for the eight athletes in terms of space and the ability for recovery baths with the pool and hot tub. The location was perfect...2 min from Mt. Lemmon. We rented pool space at a nearby YMCA. The house owners were very easy to work with and there was a contact person available at all times if there was a problem or question...however, we did not experience any problems. Great house for cyclists and triathletes.Owner response: RossAnn, thanks so much for the very nice review. We are looking forward to your return next year. Hopefully we have a new internet provider by the end of next week. It will be a line of site FM provider that provides high speed internet to the area. Also there will be a way to make toll free local and long distance phone calls. Thanks again for the review and calling back and giving us some advice. We wish we clould get all guests to do that. Thanks again and have a great year!!!! Terry

We were more than satisfied with the property. The house was just what we were looking for to spend a week dedicated to enjoy the view, rest in a very quiet environment and share a nice experience with my late eighties year old parents in law, with my wife and sister. Weather was perfect for this time of the year and even if we thought we were too far away from restaurants and shopping, it was not the case or at least we didn´t feel like it. We had minor problems with electrical breakers but Kevin was always available and ready to fix them. We even plan to come again sometime in the future.Owner response: We enjoy sharing the great views and quiet environment with our guests. We look forward to your return visit.

WOW! My wife and I, along with two other couples, loved staying at this newly remodeled house on three acres high in the Catalina Foothills. The views of the city (day and night), while sitting in the huge hot tub or lounging around the pool, were amazing. The canyon views to the north are also spectacular. We found the home well stocked, very clean, comfortably furnished, and it had plenty of room for the six of us. Every bedroom has an unbelievable view of either the mountains or part of the valley as did both of the main living areas. The kitchen was easy to prepare and cook food in and having the washer and dryer available was SO convenient. Kevin was great to work with and made sure that all of our questions were answered. For the price, you cannot beat the views, proximity to Mt Lemmon, restaurants, shopping, and comforts of home that this house provided. We highly recommend this property! Jack from ChicagoRecommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers.
Owner response: We are glad you enjoyed your visit. It's a great place to relax and unwind. Hope you stay again soon.
