Thank you so much for letting us rent your condo for a week! From the condo it is only a short drive to Lahaina, Kihei, and the airport (and a very short walk to Beach Bums - loved their happy hour!!!) We loved watching the sun rise over Haleakala every morning and watching the whales in the bay from the lanai. The morning that we had to fly home, I got to see a whale slap his tail at least 10 times in a row. I would definitely recommend your condo to others and look forward to coming back sometime soon!

Nice hearing from you on our return home. We very much enjoyed the condo you provided for us and were much impressed with the location, the view, AND THE SHOWER!!!. We had a marvelous time with our friends touring around the entire island. We will certainly recommend your place to all our friends who travel to the island. We hated to leave but life gets in the way sometimes. We hope to be back one day and make use of your lovely condo.

This was a condo with lots of personal touches that made you feel right at home and a part of the Maui experience. The complex has a great pool, bar B Q's are kept clean and the grounds are immaculate. Four of us shared the condo and found it was cozy yet afforded comfort and privacy. Having ensuite bathrooms off each bedroom was great. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed many meals on the lanai. Maalaea Bay area is very quiet but is centrally located so it is an easy drive to Kehei or Lahaina for shopping and dinning.Just walk down the street to Haycraft Park which is one of the nicest swimming beaches we found. The Maui Ocean Centre is a great place to visit and there is a minature golf course close by for family fun. Weather was good and we had a wonderful time. The owners were very accommodating and helped to make our stay here very special.

Our stay was wonderful.! There was not a thing you would need that the owners had not thought of; curling irons, hair dryers, binoculars, movies, books, beach towels, noodles and boogie boards, fabulous kitchen, wine glasses, plenty of dishes, and the lanai, perfect. When you go shopping you bring your own recycle bag, no plastic bags. Don't worry, Anne has 4 or 5 hanging up for you in the hall as you enter the condo. The first night was a full moon and of course we shared the photo back home in Oklahoma where it was 110 degrees plus. The condo was first class and well maintained and included air conditioning. Appreciated having a parking spot and just happened to be in front of the elevator to our condo. You are only a short walk to a quiet beach and the locals are so friendly and enjoy sharing their knowledge. During our 8 day stay the beach was never crowed or too busy, just right! Staying in Maalaea is the only way to go. You are centerally located to everything you want to do. A short walk to the acquarium, the Maalaea harbor offers fishing trips, snorkelling or snuba. Great little shops and the two restarants, Buzz Wharf, food was worth every penny. Their speciality are their prawns and tastes like lobster, outstanding!. The casual Beach Bum Bar & Grill had unique dishes to pick from, BBQ, ono fish specials & sweet potato fries and a full bar. During the week above Beach Bums is a swap/fruit market to purchase fresh fruit, spices, coffee, unique jewelry made by the local artisians, (some really nice earrings made out of the coconut shell) lotions & soaps, clothing and much more. We found a great trial mix, coconut, almonds, macadamia nuts, cranberries, raisins, we had to have 3 bags! (all natural). We stocked up on fresh fruit for the week and it was just mouth watering, sure wish we had some of that fruit here in Oklahoma. We attended the Old Lahina Luau which was only about a 20 minute drive. We went ziplining with Skyline Eco Adventure's in Ka'anapali compnay that offered 8 zips and lunch, great company, their guides are profesional and were very patient and knew exaclty how to help each indivdual to keep them calm & in their comfort zone. The guides are funny and keep the laughter flowing - great company. Next time we go back we want to zipline there other location by Mt. Haleakala. Anne and her husband were enjoyable to talk to and hope we can come back in the Spring 2012.

Does sitting on a lanai sipping coffee as gentle trade winds blow and the sun comes up over Haleakala make your "bucket list?" How about being lulled to sleep by the gentle lapping of ocean waves just yards from your room? Are you more practical and are looking for "location - location - location?" Well, Anne and Mac's place is for you! It has all the comforts of home and is just minutes from most places on Maui. And if it's unwinding that you're after, not much can top this! We had a WONDERFUL time and it was really hard to head to the airport!

We didn't use the air at all as coming from Houston it was nice and cool in Maui for us. We were so perfectly comfortable in your unit of course we wanted to stay longer. Thank you very much for allowing us to stay later on Saturday it made the world of difference especially having my Mum with us. :-)

As a gaggle of girls from Canada on a relaxation trip to Maui for the first time, Ma'alaea Kai was the perfect spot! The location was fantastic, with only a 10 minute drive to Kihei and only 20 minutes to Lahaina and 15 minutes to the airport! The condo is well laid out and very comfortable, with the most amazing view from the Lanai. The building is quiet and the beach nearby is not crowded with tourists, a definate bonus! It was a pleasure to deal with Anne and her suggestions and tips were very appreciated! We loved Beach Bums (the within walking distance Pub) and spent a few different occasions there having excellent food, great service and inexpensive drinks at Happy Hour! One of our favourite activities was Zip Lining with Flyin Hawaiian Ziplines, which was only a short 5 minute drive up the road - absolutely exhilerating! I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone, thank you for an extremely enjoyable week on Maui!

Thanks Anne, we had a wonderful time, we enjoyed every minute of the vacation-even the event of March 11 will give us lots to talk about for years to come. As noted in the guest book your home was a great home away from home for us. We were particular impressed with the grounds, the pool, the Bar-B-Q and the common areas. The maintenance and cleaning of all these areas was performed to a 5 star standard. The condo was nicely stocked with all that a person needs in the kitchen, the beds were comfortable and the washroom facilities worked well. We would also like to Thank You again for allowing us to stay until we were ready to leave for the airport on April 6th, it made it so much more comfortable waiting out the time at the condo rather than driving around with all the luggage. Thanks again for everything and we would have no issue in recommending you condo or your building to anyone that asked.

Our vacation was so wonderful, the condo is beautifully appointed and everything there including paddle boards and beach towels. We so enjoyed watching the whales and hearing them sing in the still of the morning. We had not been to Hawaii before so it was an extraordinary experience. And yes we may return to Maui. We cannot thank you enough for giving us the time to enjoy Maui while staying in your condo. The setting was perfect and your condo adorable. We took advantage of the ocean breeze by opening the front door and the sliding door. We never heard a peep from neighbors. The place is so peaceful and serene. I left our Hana CD and map in your brochure basket for others to enjoy when they come to visit. Again, thank you or as they say "mahalo" and we hope to return again.

Just wanted to let you know that we had arrived and are enjoying your beautiful home. I can see that you've done a lot of work since we saw it last year. The kitchen is just beautiful and the floors are lovely. So far the weather has been hit and miss which is just perfect while we get acclimatized. I think today I slept in until 6:30am. Nothing here impacts our enjoyment of your lovely home. We thank you very much and are looking forward to many whale sightings (three so far).

I wanted to drop you a quick note to say "Mahalo" for your hospitality at our stay at your condo at Ma'alaea Kai. My apologies for not writing sooner, but things have been a little busy since our return. Both Susan and I loved the condo, and could not have been more pleased with our stay. It was decorated beautifully, was very comfortable and the view was spectacular. Too often, when renting a condo it is either generic and bleak and you feel like you are in a bad motel, or it is so personalized you feel like you are invading the owner's privacy. You were absolutely able to find that fine line between these extremes, and we felt like treasured guests!

We had the best vacation ever!!!!!!! and your place worked out so perfectly as it is so lovely sitting on that deck in the morning having coffee waiting for the sun to come up. ( I never could get on Maui time and woke up every morning at 3 am. and made coffee.) I have ridden and raised horses all my life and have never been on a better ride than the one you suggested on PoliPoli Rd. right off Hwy. 37. "Thompson Ranch" Jerry is a fantastically knowledgeable horseman and an extremely wonderful person to guide you. He has very well trained horses and takes you up into the mts. on trails that are above the clouds and views that just take your breathe away. A RIDE AND EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME. We also went out for dinner/lunch over at Mama's Fish House over at Paia. What ambiance!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had the MahiMahi, glazed with Macadamia Nuts, stuffed with crab & lobster, and covered with a small lobster on the top. Then had bananna-macadamia crisp with vanilla bean ice cream for dessert. A meal from heaven and a guest check from hell. OH WELL ONLY LIVE ONCE AND IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY. (Never seen a place charge $14.00 for a cup of coffee---we liked water---lol.) Beach Bums had outstanding breakfasts and fantastic waitresses. We just had a great time and really enjoyed our stay at the condo!!!!!!!!!!!! Tried to steal a few things but couldn't get them unglued---LOL--just had to kid you a little on that---but great practical idea!!!!! Again thanks for the wine, cheese and the great opportunity to meet our gracious hosts!!!

We all had a wonderful time at Maui and your condo helped make it great. Everything about your condo was great and we enjoyed all of it. We had everything we needed and the view was just too much. This was just what we wanted. The beach was available if needed which I walked over one time but just to have the ocean front and view from your deck was just fantastic. Although, it was rare that we could see the top of the mountain across the bay and we took a ton of pictures. Yes, I think we will visit again and we will want your condo too. My daughter is wanting to move there now! We do appreciate for the chance to visit Maui and to stay in your condo was somehow selected and we do thank you for helping a dream come true. By the way, what type of grass is that? So beautiful and maintained. Great to walk on too. Thanks Again !!!

We returned to Mt. 2ft. of snow and 30 degrees.. brrrrr... Our stay at your condo was excellent! Contrary to what you may read about the location we loved it, the convenience to all the island was perfect, as was the peace and quiet when we returned. We can`t think of anything that could have made our stay better. We all loved Beach Bums, service and food great. One of the best things you offered was being able to stay our last day we snorkeled all morning, and spent the afternoon in the Ocean Center didn`t leave the condo till 6.30, called and visited with your cleaning girl , we had a great conversation,she also shared some good ideas. We will definitely recommend your condo, and keep it first on our list should we return. Once again our thanks to you
