Came for snowmobiling. First day not much snow, but second day received about 15 inches. We had a great time. Cabin was awesome. It exceeded our expectations. Overall...great time and would definitely come back.

Slept like a baby. Listening to the waves hit the shore. The was very comfortable. The colors this fall were brilliant and the drive to Lake Linden was nice. Did lots of exploring of the area on foot. Very quiet and relaxing. Looking forward to coming back.

Man, this place is plush. Expected more of a 'cabin' feel. We thoroughly relaxed after relative's wedding. Didn't go down to the lake much, but the view is awesome from the deck. No berries left. Visited Copper Harbor and Captain Don, plus a few shops. This was so relaxing and everything is here we needed. Thanks so much!

What a Superior View!! Thanks for sharing your comfortable cabin with us. the beds were all comfy. We had everything we needed for 2 adults and 4 teens. We picked blueberries on a huge bush between the steps and the river plus made a great pie. Went on a fishing trip with Captain Bill--Lucky Strike--out of Lac Labelle--caught 10 lake trout + one salmon--Yummy! Found plenty of dead wood for campfires. Went to the Gay Bar to catch the Tigers games.

What a deliciously refreshing, peaceful get-a-way this rustic cabin offers! We stayed from July 22 - 29, 2006 and couldn't have asked for better weather or a more pleasant experience. The water was a insaitable treat after leaving 100+ degree temps in the Twin Cities. We discovered a trick to keeping the cabin cool on very hot days was to close everything up early morning - window's, shades, etc. . . in order to keep the cool in, and the sun/heat out. It worked great! The UP is a wonderful playpen for our family - were a little sad and amazed at the expansion of private property in this neck of the woods, especially the Bete Grise area. There is something very wrong about a six foot chain link fence surrounding a massive compound near the channel on Bete Grise. Thanks Mark and Jodi, it's been great!

We very much enjoyed our second stay at the cabin and enjoyed the improvements. This is a great spot and a very comfortable vacation home. The eagle continued to be a regular visitor and the raspberries were still going strong. We recommend the easy walking trails at the Estivant Pines Sanctuary near Copper Harbor.

We loved the raspberries which were ripe--the bears* left us enough to have with half and half. Delicious! We enjoyed seeing the Bald Eagle flying back and forth. The stars were spectacular on clear nights. The weather was good--cool compared to Carolina. *We didn't actually see any bears. The cottage is very comfortable. We had everything we needed.

We've had a wonderful week. The days were sunny and hot and the evenings were pleasant. We loved the view from the house, porch and yard! Thanks for the well equipped kitchen and extra supplies. Our kids love walking on the rocky beach and up the Tobacco River. Our favorite beach was about 25 miles up the coast at Bete Gris. It had a white sandy beach and very few other people. We had a very relaxing and wonderful family vacation here. Thanks for the lovely place and all its provisions. P.S. Thanks for your black information book. It was very helpful. The fitness center in Laurium was very good and not far away.

Wonderful! This is the best stocked rental we've ever stayed in. Could have left 1/2 of our junk at home. The week was all we had hoped for including an unexpcted, but typical, Superior pre-dawn storm. She put on quite a show for us! Waves, white caps, pink clouds ahead of the front, torrential rain and over in 45 minutes. Days were long, nights cool (over 90 degrees during the afternoons) and the stars brilliant Going home relaxed and refreshed and only wish we had another week! We will be back.

Our daughter, husband and 3 children met us at the cabin for a week starting July 17,05. The weather was gorgeous and we all swam at least once. The sunrises and sunsets are beautiful beyond words or pictures. Had lots of things to do and really enjoyed no TV or playstation!! You can keep your bugs, that's about the only negative thing I can say about it.

We had a great October weekend at this cute cabin on the beach of beautiful Lake Superior. The weather was cool and refreshing to us coming from South Florida. On our final night, we had an awesome family reunion gathering around the campfire. We'll always remember this good time.

Thank you so much - we had a wonderful time at the cabin. We actually (ok, not ALL of us) got in the water and swam. We did ALL however get into the sauna afterwards. It was delicious! The beach is perfect for coffee at sunrise. Can't encourage that enough. =) The woodstove was perfect for our chilly nights. We look forward to our next visit already.

Enjoyed our stay in your cozy cabin--loved the woodstove. This certainly is a beautiful area and you have a wonderful piece of property--the view can't be beat. Had a very relaxing week. The weather was a mix--some stormy--abolutely gorgeous today--we explored the whole peninsula--shopped some in Copper Harbor. Mostly just hung out here--"M" painting and writing, me sewing. Enjoyed the old cook book, ship wreck book and log book. Lastly, we loved the lake/beach. Sound of waves is wonderful. Really great to walk on the beach. Thanks. PMW

We have had one of the best vacations EVER! Walking the beach every day. Using the sauna every day. Evening fire every night. Even our dog had a wonderful time playing in the waves and rolling in the sand. Even had a day of 3' waves--rode the surf--as best we could. DF

Beautiful weather until Thursday--Rainy/Cloudy/Very humid. Saw fantastic Northern Lights on Monday night. The moon is approaching full--the light on the water was very peaceful. We loved the quiet and isolation. Cabin well equipped--but even another 6" would be an improvement in the bathroom. TR

Really enjoyed the cabin. Very quiet and peaceful. Other than the bathroom being so small, the cabin was great! However, the flies and mosquitoes were bad. Water was cold, but beautiful. Kids enjoyed the sandy beach. Thanks again and God Bless. The DF

Really enjoyed the quiet sound of the waves. Enjoyed feeding your mosquitoes also. The island is beautiful and it's history very interesting. The people in town (Lake Linden), especially at the cafe at 9th and Trout, were very friendly and helpful. Your cabin was very comfortable. Thank you. R&D

This is a beautiful area. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay here. Loved no TV! There was plenty to do without it. Our only regret is that we wish we had brought more mosquito repellent. God Bless, the PF.

What a wonderful place you have! Thank you for renting it out so others can enjoy. We all had a great time, so restful. With no TV made kids really get to know each other and their grandparents. Thanks again and God Bless. The KF and CF.

Came up for an early spring vacation. There was a little chill in the air, but the woodstove/fireplace warmed up the place great--very cozy. Loved the drive from Hermit's Cove to Copper Harbor. Beta Gris Light House was a pleasant surprise. I'd also recommend the Brockway Mountain drive. Ate one night at the Library in Houghton--very good. We'll be back next year.
