Wow ! What a fabulous home! This was the best beach rental we've ever stayed in. The views are breathtaking and available in nearly every location of the house. The house was spotless and well stocked. Don't bring your own spices or kitchen gadgets as it's all set up for folks loving to cook! It was my youngest son's 30th birthday and graduation celebration so we had lots of family and friends over for meals and games. Everyone was amazed at the beauty of the home and the spectacular views. The owner, Kathy , was beyond accommodating- she responded promptly to every inquiry we had about the area and reassured us about house details. We had a welcome bottle of chardonnay awaiting us upon arrival even! The beach is a short distance away- I walked down everyday to run on the beach. IWe hiked the trails of Torrey Pines State Park , right behind the house as well. Adventures galore! Thank you Kathy for one of the best vacation our family has ever had together!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My friends and I stayed here for our annual Christmas Party and the home was an absolute dream! We loved it here! The place was very clean, beautifully decorated, and the beds were super comfortable. There was more than enough room for all of us. Waking up in the morning to look at the gorgeous view was priceless! Kathy was a pleasure to work with and always just a phone call away. There is plenty to do near by and several great restaurants just a short walk away. We would definitely recommend this rental, spacious, breathtaking views, clean, private, and who could beat the great San Diego weather! We will definitely be coming back soon!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We loved staying at Torrey Pines Serenity! We shared the home plus studio with another family. There was plenty of room for all of us! The beds were very comfortable and the ammenities plentiful. All of the linens were clean, and there were plenty. The location is great. The walk to the beach with gear for a day would be a hike. However, it is only a short drive. Parking can be a challenge. Cathy the owner is delightful to work with. It was one of the easiest and most pleasant rental experiences that I have encountered on VRBO. I would definately rent here again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway.

This was one of the best vacation rentals I have utilized to date. The home was very clean, the view of the beach was amazing and the owner made sure that there were plenty of amentities available for us. It started with a bottle of champagne in the fridge along with chilled bottle water. This home was ideal our get together and provided enough room for everyone invloved. One item that was unique was the "kid's room" which is right off the master bedroom. This room would work great for a child or two that can sleep near their parents but it would be very close quarters for anything more. Overall I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a nice family vacatrion or reunion with friends/family.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

I booked this amazing property for 11 days for my Parents visit. They came to celebrate their 46th wedding anniversary. It is truly a hidden gem. I was able to book this house with the owner directly over the phone (I was traveling back east). My Parents loved it so much that they came back 1 week later for another 11 days!!! If you are looking for a beautifully appointed 4000 sq/ft. house that sits on an ecological reserve, and boasts panoramic ocean views, look no further, this is the one! Met up with a bunch of old college friends to visit UCSD 25 yrs after graduating. Spent a glorious weekend in Del Mar in this lovely and well appointed home. The views of the ocean and sunset were amazing. It was very close to the I-5 so we could get anywhere fairly quickly. Some of our party ran every morning on the beach, and we walked to Roberto's. The house was set up perfectly for a bunch of people who wanted to hang out and reconnect. It was fun living where we could only dream of during college.Owner response: So... happy you had a great time. You and your group are welcome back any time. About the owner: I am a San Diego Realtor, I have managed my own properties for over 30 years. My husband Jim and I built and designed this home as our dream home 22 years ago. We raised our daughter in Del Mar and now she is a teacher at a charter school, she has her masters degree in administration. We love Del Mar and the San Diego area for its great schools, climate, beachs, entertainment, restaurants, quality of life and all that the area has to offer.
Why the Owner Chose Del Mar:
Our vacation home is easy access from freeeway 5 and approximately 20-30 minutes from the airport yet we feel like we are away from it all in our own little world with the surrounding beauty of the ocean, nature and sandstone cliffs. We are a straight drive down the freeway 5 to sea world ,old town and downtown san diego.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We are walking distance to the beach, and great local restaurants along Carmel Valley Road. The back of the home abuts an open space nature reserve. We also enjoy the Lagoon view, Torrey Pine Trees, and the beautiful sunsets when they occur. Watching a sail boat sail on the ocean or a wind surfer, or a ship out at sea from the great room or decks is one of the many thrills to enjoy in this home.
