We have nothing but great things to say about this rental experience. The place was impeccably clean, a great downstairs for cooking and hanging out at the same time. The kids loved the space and slept very well. It's perfect for 1 family with a few kids, or 2 small families. We're skiers so getting to Crystal was a breeze. We're hoping to rent again in the future.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our family had a wonderful 3-day weekend at this home! It was a great weekend from start to finish. The home was beautifully furnished, in excellent condition, and had plenty of ammenities. We started each sunny day up at Crystal Mountain skiing and ended each day in the hot tub, around the fire and enjoying the wonderful atmosphere. We even had the opportunity to see a moose walking through the neighborhood! The home was supplied with everything we needed and provided us a wonderful opportunity to have family meals, play games, watch a movie and more. We will be recommending this home to other family members and friends - it was wonderful!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

After years of spring skiing in Colorado we figured we'd try a traveling little further west. Although the conditions were a bit moist, we were able to get in a few good days and enjoy the best of Crystal Mountain. Our last day proved to be the finest and we were treated to clear skies and a perfect view of Mt Rainier. The cabin was everything the reviews and the owner Tom said it would be. It was clean, extremely well equipped and very comfortable. A guest couldn't ask for more. We would welcome the opportunity to visit this lovely home again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I spent the long weekend at the cabin with my siblings who all came in from out of town to ski Crystal. We had such a great time being all together at the cabin, which was very cozy and roomy. The house is very nicely decorated, and has all the amenities one could need. Booking was very easy, and Tom, the owner was extremely responsive with all the questions I had going into the weekend. I highly recommend staying here.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Great house to rent. Has all amenities, just bring food. Had planned to snow ski at Crystal, but the three of us decided to just take it easy, read, watch TV & DVDs, and relax for 3 days. Loved looking out the expansive windows in living room...and watching a neighborhood lab go hopping by the windows every morning so he could look inside to see us...went outside twice to pet him and what a sweet dog! Also, a wonderful warm hot tub for even more relaxing. We did go out walking in the neighborhood each day...saw the herd of elk and a few straglers too...very nice quiet community. Although we didn't ski at Crystal we did go snowshoeing and to the Snorting Elk for drinks. Also, went to Naches tavern one night for an enjoyable dinner. We will definitely return to the rental and next time go snow skiing at Crystal. Will recommend to our hiking, skiing, snowmobiling friends. Thanks for the experience! Only wish that I could have shared the experience with my very well mannered Standard Poodle.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We had a fabulous stay over New Year's Eve. The cabin was very clean, and stocked with everything you could possibly need. We made good use of the kitchen, and were surprised to find a full spice rack. Also a great assortment of games and puzzles. Beds were some of the most comfortable I have ever experienced. The fence around the property kept the elk out of the yard, but we still had a nice view of the herd at least once a day as they passed through the neighbor's yard. Made for quite a memorable weekend. Oh, and we found a good sledding hill up Forest Road 75 near the cabin. If you go up the hill, maybe about a mile, there is a logging road heading down the hill on the right. Walk down the hill for some fun sledding adventures!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Our family gathered for Christmas at this well appointed home. The house was clean, well supplied, comfortable, and well suited to outdoor and indoor relaxation. The open floor plan, gas fireplace, comfortable beds, washer & dryer, proximity to Crystal Mountain skiing and well equipped kitchen made the week worry free and family-central each evening. The only item found wanting was a vegetable peeler so in the scope of must-haves this was miniscule. We had daily processions of elk and snowfall beauty right out of a Currier and Ives lithograph. We would not hesitate to rent this home again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The photos show a wonderful cabin, which it is. But the delightful discovery for us was games for kids, a kitchen with a great assortment of pans, bowls, utensils, movies galore and deliciously comfortable beds. The owner was very helpful and gracious. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The cabin was luxurious. It met or exceeded all of our expectations. We enjoyed being on Rainer's doorstep. The suggested hikes were prefect. We hiked in and around Rainer several times; we also drove the Spirit Lake. Directions were excellent. Cabin was very clean and well maintained. I would recommend this to anyone that wants the splendor of Rainer without and hassle.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: My time at the cabin is priceless. It is more than a stopping off spot to sleep and eat. It is an escape into the sights, smells, chill of the nights and outdoor exploration associated with camping in the woods. But, this cammping trip comes with hot/warm water, central heating, soft beds and warm blankets.
Why the Owner Chose Greenwater:
The ranch has a caretaker providing a secure environment and the home is close to our home in Seattle, Crystal saki area and Mt Rainier. We now snow ski several days in a row and cross country ski from our back door. When we aren't skiing we road and mountain bike, hike in the Nation forest and explore the forest service roads. On occasion we take a morning trip across Chinook pass for breakfast at Gold Creek or Whisky Jacks. Within 30 miles we can bike across three mountain passes or up to Sunrise on wide shoulders in slower car traffic than the other Cascade passes.
The Unique Benefits at this Chalet:
At 2300' elevation RR receives snow when snow is falling in the NW foothills. Summers are warmer than Seattle and it rains less frequent. There are walking trails running throughout the CRR community, one along the White river. Within walking distance forest service road 74 is gated and good for longer walks, very safe bike riding and cross country skiing.
