This lovely duplex is located in Westmount, Montreal's most elegant neighborhood, close to downtown. At the end of the road you will find wonderful food shops, trendy boutiques and great restaurants. Bus and metro transportation is minutes away. Nearby is Westmount Park, a superb library and a fabulous YMCA. Colourful Atwater Market and the Lachine Canal recreation path are nearby and the centre of town is a short direct bus or metro ride away. My building is a restored Victorian duplex with two larege, theree bedroom two bathroom apts and a cosy basement efficiency apt with a private entrance from the side of the house. The apts have rooms that are generous in size with high ceilings and hardwood floors and the area is very quiet and great for sleeping. A sunny back balcony is part od the second floor apt at 320 Grosvenor and is a wonderful place to dine al fresco. The living room has a fireplace and opens to a dining area that can seat 8. The ground floor apt at 318 grosvenor has a private back garden and patio area and a wonderful eatin kitchen. This apt can open up directly to the basement efficiency apt and is ideal for a large group as there is plenty of room to stretch out.
Staying in my Westmount duplex will make you feel like you have your own home in Montreal. I have owned this property for a long time and though I live elsewhere now, the apt is filled with items that I have collected over the years from my travels. The Vendome metro is 3 blocks away and the #24 bus is at the end of the road and goes all along Sherbrooke St.

There is also a efficiency apt at the back of the basement with a private garden entrance. This can open up and connect with the ground floor apt at 318 Grosvenor.

About the owner: I have been living in Montreal since I graduated from the Universityof Western Ontario. I was fascinated by the city as a little girl and there was no question that it was the place for me to make my way in life. I made my career in Montreal's fashion industry and now that I am retired, I split my time between Montreal and my second home in Stowe Vermont. I have the best of both worlds..an exciting, sophisticated, international city with out of this world restaurants and a delightful country retreat with all sorts of athletic outdoorsy things to do. Why the Owner Chose Montreal: MY grand father was an architect in England and I think the love of houses, especially those with old bones, is in my blood. I bought this house when I was young and foolish, but in fact it was the smartest thing I could ever have done. It was a forced savings program for me and instead of buying more shoes and handbags, I paid my mortgage and now this wonderful house is paying me back.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome: The very special thing about this house is that it is in the most charming neighbourhood. Westmount is rather exclusive, but where I live on a street just off Sherbrooke St, there is a real village feeling with everything you could possibly need within walking distance. It is an old district, so the trees are mature and there is a quiet elegance in the Victorian architecture.
