Cannot say enough good things about this place. We stayed in A204, upstairs with a gorgeous view of the ocean. We have two teenagers (boy and girl) and needed a separate bedroom with separate beds, and this unit delivered. Their bedroom was downstairs with 2 twin beds, master was upstairs with its own bath. Kitchen was large, had everything we needed. Nice comfy living room and huge balcony. The unit came with beach chairs, snorkeling equipment, beach towels, washer/dryer, ice chest. . .the only thing we needed to supply was the food and beer. :) The AC's were a bit small (one upstairs, one downstairs) and it did get quite warm in the afternoon as the the balcony faces west. The rate was extremely reasonable (we paid $190/night for 6 nights). Grounds were quiet, and there were two pools. One was gorgeously landscaped but did get crowded pretty quickly. Across the street from Kamaole Beach and just a few blocks from restaurants and shopping. It was a wonderful vacation for our entire family.

Well, true to my hopes, I have returned to A204 twice since my first stay in 2009. Is it possible for a place to get better each time you are there? With the great location, morning and sunset views, and all the comforts of home, what more could you want. Thanks for being such a great host (again), Jack!

Owner response:We too have just returned from our condo and we are pleased to announce that we have just completed a remodel of the upstairs bathroom. (walk in shower, palm etched glass, new maple vanity, granite counter top, new mirror, vessel sink and new fixtures) We also repainted the living room, replaced 3 ceiling fans and new flooring in the downstairs bedroom. We also upgraded the wireless internet, so it is much faster now, thanks for the router recommendation! We love to have repeat clients and we truly hope you will be able to make it back to Maui again.

Thank you very much for letting us stay at your beautiful place. Description and photos are very accurate. Like many people said, it was such a treat to have breakfast at lanai overlooking the ocean. What a stunning view! It has everyting we needed from boogie boards to beach chairs. We'd definitely come back!

Hello Again ! This is our second time staying at Maui Kamaole. We absolutly love it! Every morning we wake to a breathtaking view out over the ocean. With the use of our binoculars, we get a very up close view of whales breaching and playing in the water. The unit is conveniently located near our favorite beaches (I will keep them a "secret" for now). The unit come with all the amenity's of home, very functional kitchen, and beach chairs and "left over" snorkel equipment. I cannot believe next winter is already booked !!! Looks like I had better plan ahead for 2013. Thanks Again, Erick

What a beautiful place you have! Thank you for the wonderful accommodations with all the comforts of home including binoculars for whale watching, gear for snorkeling, movies, CD's and books for entertainment, beach towels galore and a well stocked kitchen for meals, not to meantion spacious bedrooms with lots of closet space and two full bathrooms. The views from your condo are breathtaking and we were within walking distance of beaches, shops and restaurants. We had a very relaxing experience at Maui Kamaole, thanks to you. Hi Jack, Just a quick email to let you know how much we enjoyed your apartment the past 2 weeks. All things advertised on the website were completely true to reality. Your apartment is very comfortable, the location is perfect in the most quiet corner of busy Kihei, the landscaping is just gorgeous, the view is the absolute best and the pools at night were well worth our visits at the end of the day. Our ten year old said it best 'these people sure know how to create paradise!'. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We fully recommend this as the ideal 'home away from home' to explore Maui. Let me start of by saying, the owners of this unit are extremely easy to work with and very open and honest about this property ! We were very impressed with the view of the ocean on the Lanai. The unit was very clean and comfortable. The location was great, for we love the So. Kihei area. Parking was right outside the unit with one flight of stairs an easy walk. All appliances worked great, with modern (granite) counter tops. There are two pools to chose from, both requiring a short walk. I have already booked another reservation for next year !

Owner response:We too enjoy the ocean view especially during sunsets with a glass of wine. I can't think of a better way to end a day full of adventure or just pure relaxation. Hello Jack, Just wanted to thank you for letting us stay at your wonderful condo in Maui. The unit had everything we wanted and needed: gorgeous views, convenient but very quiet location right off the main Kihei road, right in front of a great beach. The unit is well kept and the grounds of the Maui Kamaole resort is very pleasant, we took lots of walks around the quite complex. Also the unit was well stocked with the supplies we needed most: coffee filters, laundry detergent, all kitchen utensils and the all important hair dryer for my college age daughter! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The view from the lanai is wonderful, you don't see S. Kihei Rd. at all, minimal to no road noise. The location is perfect: Walk to gorgeous Wailea beaches south, and walk to Kihei's groceries & restaurants (and more beaches!) north. A very nice complex, great pools, no complaints! Hi Jack, Talk about location, location, location! You're condo has all the comforts of home, but with views and a location to die for! We've definitely decided to be repeat customers the next time we make it back to Maui and want to sincerely thank you for providing such a great unit for rental. Walked from the unit to Wailea via the beach path nearly every day. Having roamed the whole complex to see all the beautiful plants, I'll bet you have the best location within the entire complex, too. Watching the sunset over the ocean from the patio, and then swimming under the palms and stars evenings, it was hard to get enthused about going anywhere else at night, even with a 22-year-old along. The view of sunrise over Haleakala from the bedroom side of the unit made an early riser out of me, too. Loved it! Thanks, Mindy

Our family of four stayed in A204 April 8-17, 2008. We stayed in Kehei twice, once in another unit in Maui Kamaole. We found this unit to very well furnished, quite, clean, and great views of the ocean. Even our two year old spotted whales from the Lanai. We hope to return to Maui in March 2010, if we do we plan to rent this same unit.

Our family group of adults stayed at this terrific condo for 8 nights late Feb./early March 2009. As scuba divers, it was a tremendous plus to just walk down the hill and across the street to 'catch' our dive boat at 5:45 am! We loved watching the whales from our lanai, and making ourselves at home here with all the amenities you could want. Jack is really an A+ host, so helpful when you have questions, and easy to communicate with. This complex was exceptionally quiet and beautifully landscaped. We will definitely recommend this condo to anyone visiting Maui, and hope to come back ourselves soon!

Jack - We just returned from Maui yesterday and just wanted to drop you a quick note to say "Mahalo" - your place was great, just as advertised! My wife and I had been to Maui once before (Kaanapali) on our honeymoon about 14 years ago; my two daughters had never been and had a really enjoyable time. We found Kihei/Wailea area to be a lot of fun and unpretentious. We really liked the location at South end of Kihei, a little away from the strip malls. When we were driving down S. Kihei road we said to ourselves many times that Maui Kamaole is the best combo of location, well-kept spacious grounds, pretty plants, and well-maintained attractive buildings. By the way, of the several beaches in Kihei/Walilea that we checked out, we found Ulua beach to be about the best for gentle waves and snorkeling from the beach! Hi Jack, Well, we had a wonderful time in your condo! We saw a ton of whales, dolphins, fish, and only a couple of turtles. Your condo is in a terrific part of the complex and had everything that we needed. You were right about the trade winds kicking up in the afternoon (although they were pretty brisk in the morning a couple of times also), as well as the walk along the beach. It will definitely be a trip to remember. On a side note, I have to say how impressed we were also with the Resort Quest staff and the maid who serviced your condo, Melinda. I realized after arriving at the airport in Honolulu that I had forgotten my new honu necklace and earrings on the dresser in the master bedroom. My sons and husband had bought these for me because they knew I love honus and they were very special and meaningful to me. Well, in a panic I called Resort Quest and was able to speak to Sheena who then tracked down Melinda, and she did find the jewelry and brought it personally to the Resort Quest office. Sheena took my credit card number and promptly shipped it via UPS and I received it within a couple of days. I was so thankful and relieved and wanted to personally share that story with you. Loved the front lanai, had coffee and breakfast there every morning and cocktails at night watching the sunset. Would definitely stay there again. Aloha! Just a note to tell you how we throughly enjoyed our 8 day stay at your condo this July, we plan to book again next summer for 14 days! Your condo is beautifully furnished and comfortable with all the neccesary appliances that we needed. Condo location and the ocean view were perfect. I loved the fact that we were so close to the beach and how I could take the car to The Shops at Wailea while the guys walked to one of the beaches or pools. -Mahalo !

Aloha Jack, We have just returned from enjoying a 4 week stay in your well appointed Condo at 204-A Maui Kamaole. We are long-time Maui Visitors (usually to the Sugar Beach Area) so this was a change in our normal venue. We found the views of both Whales and Sunsets from your Lanai to be the best ever. Also, we found the absence of winds, the proximity to shopping and restaurants to be positive. Lastly, being walkers, we enjoyed having two directions, North or South, both with beautiful beaches from which to choose. Hi Jack, We had a fabulous trip, and really enjoyed your condo. It was great having all the beach stuff, we made use of the fins, boogie boards and bamboo mats. I will be happy to pass your name on if I hear of anyone looking for a condo there. A tip for future guests: the sunset special at the Five Palms in the Mauna Kai Resort. We just got back from our stay at this unit and had a wonderful experience. We found it to be perfectly located... We loved the beach across the street (Kamaole III) and our favorite, Big Beach, was just a couple of miles down the road. There were lots of restaurants and fun bars within walking distance and plenty of convenient grocery stores all over Kihei. The unit was clean and spacious with a great ocean view and equipped with everything that we needed. The pools, BBQs, and tropical grounds were great to come home to after a long day at the beach. We will definitely return on our next trip to Maui. Thank you!!!

We have now returned from our 3 weeks in A204 at MK and are congratulating ourselves on our good fortune in stumbling across your particular unit. We saw several other units some of them better equipped or decorated than yours but they could not compare with your location which has to be the best in the whole large complex. Spectacular outlook, an end unit with a permanent and quiet next door neighbour,Leslie and it suited our purposes,taste and budget perfectly. Our departure flight was midnight from Kahalui was not until midnight and we were concerned when we could not extend our stay through the last day as new people were coming in that day but the people at Maui Condo and Home found us an empty groundfloor unit at no charge so that worked well and we were most grateful.Home to 3 inches of snow,what a shock. Count on us to contact you when next we head for Maui,Mahalo, Roger Gardam.

Good morning, Jack! Just had to let you know what a wonderful time we had in your condo this past week. The views from your unit are just fantastic! The two things we enjoyed most was the sunset appetizer cruise with Pacific Whale Foundation (very smooth ocean that evening) and our grown sons rented bikes and rode down Haleakala one morning and then we all met at Sandalwood Restaurant for lunch - another spectacular view from there. Your picture from the Lania does not give you ocean view justice. It's just beautiful and far more than we expected. The condo was very clean and well maintained. The garden grounds are very tropical and the pools are wonderful. Maui Kamaole is a great location, as it is close to everything you'd need. We just completed our stay at you condo at Maui Kamaole. The view from your lanai is unbelievable. We started every morning having breakfast out there. Your facing directly west, so the sunsets were incredible. The grounds and pools at Maui Kamaole are very tropical and well maintained. Being just outside of Kihei town it was very quiet, yet close enough to get supplies. The beaches in South Maui are the best. Your condo is very spacious compared to others we've stayed in. Hope to back soon, Mahalo
