This Branford shoreline cottage, located in the village of Short Beach, is warm and cozy in the winter and cool in the summer. It provides a peaceful and quiet setting with spectacular views of salt marshes and the Farm River, where Osprey and Egrits nest and feed just off the deck. It's just a short walk to beaches and trailheads and an easy drive to Yale and New Haven.

Beautifully decorated, very clean and cozy, and perfect deck with gorgeous views of the marsh and watching seahawks. It was the perfect meditation weekend, complete with yoga mats. Owners were very responsive throughout the rental process, though the house needed nothing. Will look forward to going back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway.

delightful stay in a very quiet location. Close to walking trails and the beach; off the main road; fully equipped and warmly decorated. We were visiting a daughter in New Haven and the location was ideal. Could use highway or town roads to access her apartment. Lovely deck and the birdlife is fascinating.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+.

This Branford cottage is in a lovely location overlooking the marsh providing a tranquil environment to rest and relax. Well-appointed with a wonderful fireplace for a romantic evening. We just hope we will have more time to stay during our next visit!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+.

This cottage is in a unique location that is private and quiet with lovely views of the marshes. The cottage is comfortable for two people, well furnished with a very nice fire place and every convenience you'd ever need for a short stay. We took our coffee on the porch and enjoyed watching the tide come in and the sun rise. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and our hosts thought of everything to make it memorable.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers.

This is one of those places that feels so comfortable you just don't want to leave. It's nicely decorated and has plenty of space. The back deck is very private and overlooks a scenic salt marsh with Osprey and Egrets to keep you company. There are nice hiking trails within an easy walk of the cottage and there are lots of good restaurants nearby. Bring a good book and enjoy!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.
