Our wonderful condo is located on the 2nd hole of the Easty. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed, a walk-in closet designed by California Closets and a recently remodelled bathroom with walk-in shower. The bathroom also has a skylight. There is a big screen HDTV in the master bedroom and shutters on the window that faces the courtyard. There is a ceiling fan with remote control.
The guest room has a door to access the hall bathroom which creates a private guest suite. This room features a queen size bed and a wall-mounted HDTV. There is a large closet with mirrored doors and this room also has shutters facing the courtyard.
The Den has a built in closet, desk with high speed internet connection, book shelves and a Queen Size sleeper sofa. This room also has sliding doors to the atrium.
The hall bathroom has a tub with enclosure and both bathrooms feature high boy toilets.
The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, and is well equipped. It also has a table and chairs for cozy meals. There is a large pantry and lots of storage. There is undercounter lighting to make food preparation easier. There is a small HDTV on the counter.
The entire house (excpet the bedrooms) is tiled for easy cleaning. The ceilings are scrapped and smooth throughout the house and the ceiling in the kitchen has been raised higher than a normal ceiling to create the feeling of space in this 'room with a view'.
The living room has a wetbar, an HDTV, stereo with CD player and a gas fireplace. There are sliding doors and windows that go from floor to ceiling to enhance the beauty of your view and give you easy access to the oversize patio.
The windows in this home were replaced with dual glazed, low E energy efficient windows and the sliding glass doors in the kitchen and the living room have been replaced. The air conditioner unit is new this year and there is a fully programmable thermostat. The entry courtyard features water efficient desert landscaping and the front door has a custom leaded glass door.
This unit is situated at the end of a cul de sac. It's very private and very quiet. Because we don't face directly south, but slightly southwest, you'll get a full view of the southern mountains and the western mountains. It is a short walk to the club house and we are only a couple of minutes from the north gate.
The garage has lots of storage and has a silent/keyless garage entry system.
Montery Country Club is a golf community located on a 27 hole Ted Robinson designed golf course. You'll love the Spanish influence throughout the community. The club house is spectacular and the food is great. SORRY NO WEEKEND RENTALS

About the owner: I'm a Realtor and I know a good location when I see it, so I was overjoyed when this condo came on the market in 2002. This is the location I had dreamt of and planned for. We live and work in Long Beach, CA. and Brian is a CPA. It's just us and Maggie our faithful 'mutt' who was rescued in the fires a few years ago. Maggie is special to us and so we understand why you wouldn't want to be in a rental without your special 'family member'. We love to play golf and we love just hanging out on the patio and entertaining ourselves watching the golfers. Especially those that think they can get over the lake, it's a great pass time watching the golfers figure it out.
Why the Owner Chose Monterey Country Club:
I love Monterey Country Club, I knew it the first time I drove through the gates. I was sure this was the place for us. I wanted a place on the golf course with spectacular views, a lake and mountains would be ideal but not mandatory. When I walked through the front door I knew this was our next home. We love it and can't imagine being anywhere else. Would you be surprised to know I made the offer and then called Brian and told him - thank heaven he loved it instantly too. Even 'Maggie' loves Monterey. I have to admit I think she likes to ride in the golf cart best!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Monterey is a perfect location. Close to everything Palm Desert has to offer but only 15 minutes to Palm Springs or La Quinta. There are a ton of great golf courses nearby at reasonable prices. The College of the Desert Street Fair is so close and a favorite early Sat. morning activity. But we love trying other golf courses. Walking Maggie morning or night is great in this beautiful community. We love breakfast at Keady's or on our patio, coffee on the patio quietly watching the humming birds is another great past time. And I don't think Brian could live without his BBQ. He uses the passing golfers as an excuse to stop whatever he is doing and watch to see who will get across the lake.
