Stay in the charming West Side of Colorado Springs, and enjoy everything that the city has to offer as the house is close to it all. Nestled in a quiet residential area, the spacious home has 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large dining room, fully equipped kitchen with a 5-burner stove, large fenced-in yard, and a beautiful front porch complete with a porch swing so that you can enjoy the mountain view and beautiful sunsets. For nature lovers, city dwellers, there is a little something for everyone! Watch the deer as they pass by the yard, walk a couple of blocks to the Saturday Farmers' Market, shop and dine in Old Colorado City- just a few minutes to walk to it all!
There are three bedrooms on the main level of the house: 1 king, 2 queens and a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room. The lower level has 2 bedrooms with queen-size beds and a full-size sleeper sofa. All beds and mattresses are new as of June 2014, and have down alternative comforters. Linens are provided.
The bathrooms, one being a Jack and Jill set up, are both located on the main level of the house. Both have full bathtubs with showers. Towels are provided.
The living rooms, one on the main level and one below, have sleeper sofas with memory foam mattresses for ultimate comfort. There is a large 50' television with a Blu-ray, Wii and games, and movies to enjoy a movie night when you are all tuckered out from sightseeing. The upstairs living room features nice windows to enjoy more mountain views as well as a 28' inch television.
With over 140 channels, movies, board games and books to choose from for entertainment, you will not want for something to do while at the house. Enjoy the fresh mountain air on the covered front porch with a table and seating for 2 that serves as a nice little spot for breakfast or coffee. There is also a porch swing so you can sit and relax while taking in the views. Watch for a mama deer and her baby... they are frequent visitors! The backyard, which is completely fenced in, has a large table, umbrella and seating for an additional 8 people. There is a fire pit and more chairs to enjoy a fire on those chilly Colorado nights. A propane grill is also provided for outdoor cooking.
If you plan on feeding many or entertaining friends and family while staying at the house, the kitchen comes complete with enough service for 18 people. Pots, pans, cookie sheets, wine glasses, and more! It's all there for those of you who enjoy cooking. The granite counters and upgraded stainless steel appliances make for a wonderful experience in the kitchen.
The large dining table easily seats 10 with an additional leaf that can be added and more chairs to accommodate a large crowd.
There are guidebooks that you can borrow while staying at the house, wifi, and equipment including a high chair, pack and play, booster seat, bibs and more for families with younger children.
Lastly, the location is perfect! Just a mere two blocks away is Colorado Avenue where there are local shops, restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries (a delicious French bakery is a short walk away), a park where the Farmers' Market is held on Saturdays and more. Hop in the car for a short 5 minute drive to visit and hike at Garden of the Gods, drive 5 minutes in the opposite direction and you will be downtown. The mountains, Manitou Springs and more are just 10 minutes by car. The location couldn't be better.

About the owner: Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, I have lived in many states and even a few years in Germany. I spent a few years of my childhood in Colorado Springs and many family members have now made this area their home. My husband, from Munich, Germany, and I, along with our three kids and two dogs love to travel as often as possible. I enjoy spending time in Colorado Springs, visiting with family, enjoying the milder climate (we live in Texas!) and taking in the laid back culture in this area.
Why the Owner Chose Colorado Springs: This house is the perfect set up for larger families to enjoy time together while also offering some nice personal space that is needed when traveling. The yard is gorgeous and just begs for you to grill and hang out in the fresh mountain air. We enjoy some of the original features but also appreciate the many upgrades that have been done to the house. And the location.... it's just perfect for vacation!
The Unique Benefits at this House: Split level with lots of space for large groups. Nice covered porch and fruit trees including crab apple and apricot. Large dining room to hold a large family or group of people traveling together. Quiet neighborhood that is close to action but far enough away to be safe and peaceful.
