This lovely, NON-SMOKING, two bedroom/Loft golf villa is located adjacent to the 27 hole championship golf course at Bear Trap Dunes with a view of Kodiak number one from the screened porch and deck.
The golf villa is newly redecorated for 2008 and fully equipped. The master bedroom is furnished with a king bed. There are two twin beds both in the second bedroom and in the loft (plus a crib). The balance of the condominium features an expansive living area with a sofabed and fireplace, a full kitchen and a large dining area.
There is plenty of free parking directly in front of the unit and the free summer beach shuttle stops right outside the front door.
The property can comfortably accommodate 6 adults for golf rentals and up to 8 persons for family rentals.
On site activities, within a short walking distance, include a 27 hole championship golf course (greens fees not included), six tennis courts, large outdoor pool with kiddie area, a Fitness Center with heated pool, hot tub, saunas and exercise room, and plenty of sidewalks and trails for leisurely afternoon walks. Adjacent to the golf course is a newly-built Clubhouse with a well-stocked Pro Shop, an excellent restaurant ("The Bistro") with full bar and a convenient Snack Shop.
Although they say that it never rains at Bethany Beach, truth be told, it occasionally does. Many have told me that Bear Trap Dunes offers more rainy day activities than most facilities in the area--a blessing if you have children.
With all there is to do at Bear Trap Dunes, you may never want to leave. But if you do, there are plenty of good reasons to venture out. The free beach shuttle to Bethany Beach runs on a continuing basis throughout the summer. Excellent restaurants are located nearby, in Bethany Beach (two miles) and in Rehoboth Beach (10 miles).
Delaware is known for its "sales tax free" shopping and, in addition to scores of small shops and boutiques, there are over 100 outlet stores in Rehoboth Beach. Several excellent golf courses are located just to the north and south of the Bethany Beach area. Take the Cape May-Lewes ferry to Cape May, New Jersey for a day trip. Visit Assateague Island, where the beach still runs wild and free. Travel south to nearby Ocean City, Maryland for some high spirited nightlife.
So, why come to Bear Trap Dunes? Most of all, because it is FUN. There is plenty to entertain all sorts of vacation tastes, from active sports to just lazing by the shore.
