RECEPTIVE STRUCTURE. Situated less than a kilometre from the centre of the village and, at the same time, in an authentic oasis of calm, far from prying eyes and immersed in the woods, the Casa nel Bosco (House in the Woods) is a cosy, two-storey farmhouse rebuilt over an old structure as can be seen by the grotto that the owners have kept in its original state, as it has been for centuries. New materials and hand-crafted work have allowed Casa nel Bosco to become a reference point for design, energy efficiency, earthquake and sound proofing. All the rooms are warm, comfortable and cosy with a view out over the typical landscape of the Marche countryside. The house is, in fact, built on a natural terrace with a fairytale panorama reaching to the Gran Sasso, the Monti della Laga, the Monti Sibillini and the peak of Monte Conero with the ever present background of the gentle hills of Ascoli Piceno, Macerata and Ancona.

Interior
The entrance on the ground floor leads directly into the living area with dining room, TV room, sitting room, kitchen, laundry room and small toilet. Also on the ground floor is an apartment with a double bedroom with divisible beds, a bathroom with shower, living room and kitchenette – this can be, if needed, completely independent from the rest of the house by closing the door separating it from the living area and using, as entrance, the French window that opens out to the garden. An internal stone staircase leads up to the first floor with three double bedrooms with divisible beds, a double bedroom with extra divan bed, 4 bathrooms with shower, two of which are en-suite, a kitchenette and a small sitting room.

Park
The house stands in a wooded area of about 6 hectares, which can be reached along paths from the garden, with maple, cypress and fir trees, squirrels, hares and pheasants. The area around the house is covered by lawn. Next to the kitchen, a wrought-iron gazebo contains a 12 seater table for alfresco dining.
Swimming Pool
The pool, actually under construction, will be available from the last saturday of April to the first saturday of October. The pool will be square shaped with a 10 x 5 m size and 1,50 m depth.

Location
Il Piceno offers multiple possibilities in the area to choose from: the artistic city of Ascoli Piceno, Offida, Ripatransone, and antique medieval hamlets, historical theatres, museums, and art galleries, archeological area, roman and medieval architecture, marvelous natural reserves, such as the two parks “Sibillini” and the “Monti della Laga”. The surrounding area extends from the unique and memorable rolling hills and the long stenches of the fine sand along the Adriatic Coast. This area is known for its arts, culture and rich in traditional culinary dishes mixed with the tastes and fragrances of the local land and sea. One of the gems of Piceno is Ripatransone: a delightful hamlet located only 12km from the beach, created in 1198 in the unification of the four towers belonging to the Transone family, which overlook the splendid towns and encloses amongst its walls, history, art and culinary wonders. The city is also known as the “city of wine”, with 10 wine cellars, and the “city of oil” not to mention the orange flag for touring, green flag for the agricultural produce. Ripa another town in this splendid area renown for the narrowest streets in Italy which distance only 43cm, 6 museums which serve a population of about 5000 inhabitants and an square meter surface of about 74 km. Not to miss, la Cattedrale Basilica, il Palazzo del Podestà, il Teatro Mercantini, la Pinacoteca Comunale and il Museo della Civiltà Contadina which with over 2.000 pieces and masterpieces , is the true testimony of the antique working traditions and those of the everyday farmers lifestyle from around the end of the 800’s to around the middle of the 900’s.
