Milolii is known throughout the islands for its deep sea fishing, and clear waters; good for diving. The 'last fishing village' in Hawaii is just a 10 minutae drive within the Milolii Beach Lots subdivision, where a trail leading to a coconut beach (Honomolino) offers fantastic snorkeling. The village has a County boat ramp and camp grounds, and offers easy access for kayakiing and deep sea fisning. Milolii offers some of the most underdeveloped stretches of coastline on the Big Island, with secret beaches to explore. Season whale watching, and Spinner Dolphins. As many as 10,000 Humpback Whales visit the Hawaiian waters annually from November through May. These endangered mammals enjoy the state's warm waters in the winter to breed, give birth and nurse their young. Spectacular sunsets can be viewed directly straight ahead of the house. Just Built, Directly Across From The Ocean: Just built Milolii's Southern Belle on the Big Island of Hawaii, South Kona Coast, is directly across the ocean, approximately 50 yards. You will hear the whales at night. During the day, you will see them; just look straight ahead from the 500 s.f. lanai. There are also Spinner Dolphins, Green Sea Turtles and occasionally Manta Rays all year long. The waters in this location are considered some of the best KAYAKING, diving and fishing grounds in Hawaii. Snorkelling equipment and Kayaks are also available for your use, on the property. This 1620 s.f. home is open and airy; with Italian porcelain tile throughout; simply a pleasue for your stay. This home has all amenities. Large expanses of glass windows and sliding doors, allowing you to view the ocean from nearly every room, even from each bedroom. Every night you will watch the sun set below the horizon. This just built home is simply immaculate and fully equipped. Has all that you need. Just bring your toothbrush.

This wonderful house has everything going for it! It is absolutely lovely, beautifully appointed, and spotlessly clean. We felt like we were staying at the Ritz Carlton, but better. You are right across the street from the ocean with an unobstructed view. Elaine and Ole Jensen were wonderful hosts. They've thought of everything you might need and provided it. If you are thinking of going to Milolii, I can't recommend this house enough.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

My family, including my mom, dad, two brothers (26 and 19) and grandpa, all spent a week at this lovely vacation rental This trip was to celebrate my recent Master's graduation from University of Hawaii-Manoa and to visit an island that we had not all been to. This place was perfect for a large family that wants to spend quality time with each other, but not be on top of each other! The rental is very spacious and has practically everything you need in a house. Our favorite amenity were the two double man kayaks waiting for us. We launched the kayaks in the old village and kayaked over to Honomolino Bay, most days our very own private beach. The reef, less than 100 years from the shore, was spectacular. My Dad compared it to what the reefs used to be like in the (Florida) Keys in 60's. The Milolii community is very quiet and relaxing, a definite bonus after working so much to complete my Master's. The view from the over-sized lanai is perfect, direct oceanview and perfect sunset watching place. The owners, Elaine and Ole, live on the Big Island and are easily reachable if any problems arise. We arrived late on the 18th, but the place was ready and welcoming when we got there. The next morning Elaine called to make sure the arrival the night before went smoothly There were even fresh flowers in a vase! We had a wonderful holidiay in Milolii at the Southern Belle which is a lovely new home with a magnificent view of the ocean from the very large lanai. The house is perfect for a relaxed vacation. It is large and very well equipped to enhance opportunities to be able to spend your entire vacation in the area. Everything one would need has been provided for the renter's convenience. The large bedrooms, each with their own ensuite is so convenient. The barbeque and kitchen are perfect for creating your own meals. The home is located at sea level near the historic fishing village of Milolii. Lots of opportunities for walking, viewing tidal pools, or just relaxing while watching for whales or dolphins. It is a drive from the major centre, Kona, and a car is essential to obtain supplies, or to venture out for all the exciting things to do on the island. My husband and I just returned from a 10 day stay at this beautiful home. We have stayed in A LOT of rental homes, and this was BY FAR the best equipped house we've ever been in! The beds and linens are great, the kitchen FULLY equipped for even the most gourmet cooking, and kayaks and snorkeling equipment are all included. The view from everywhere in the house and HUGE lanai is spectacular. The owners are kind, helpful and immediately responsive to any question or need. The village is wonderfully quiet, both local beaches are great. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this spot.
