Excellent Nature Vacation
Tulemar was a great getaway for my husband and me! We spent four days enjoying our time away from the rest of the world. From our bungalow we saw monkeys and a HUGE sloth - as close as you can imagine! I'm a city girl and loved the experience. The grounds are beautifully kept. The beach is fabulous and was kept pristine. The entire staff staff is very accommodating, warm and knowledgeable, but Julian is exceptional! The prices are on the higher end at the restaurant, but the convenience of being able to charge everything to your room was great. Even some of the local restaurants were on board with the policy. This is one of the most beautiful places we have been to. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the memories!

Beautiful GetawayGuest comment entered by manager
We staying at Tulemar for three days in mid-August. The one bedroom select had a very nice large deck that has views of the jungle and the ocean. We saw monkeys, sloths and pretty birds every day. There was more to see on the property than there was at the park. The private beach was also nice with free use of boogie boards and kayaks. Service was also friendly and helpful. The property was very quiet, making it feel like we had the place to ourselves. Come here looking to spend time with nature and don't expect a loud crowded hotel (except for trhe howler monkeys that could sometimes get loud). The property is hilly with steep walks to get to the beach or to the restaurants outside of the resort but there is a shuttle to take you back and forth. It actually is a good way to get some exercise. The rain forest is so beautiful and there are four pools to use beside the private beach. There is no need to go anywhere else. Tulemar is truly paradise. We saw so many animals every day. We would love to come back in the near future. I highly suggest this wonderful property.

Resort yes, but better then that
Such a beautiful property and villa. It's not exactly a 360 degree view, but close enough. The One bedroom Select is a must to stay in. It had a wonderful balcony that was visited by monkeys throughout our stay. We enjoyed the private beach, where we could order cocktails and food. The beach is quite nice and it's fun to watch all the folks on the body boards. The servers/beach attendants were super nice and remembered our names. We also visited the pool bar, which also has a nice view and is a pretty place in the evening (we didn't see it during the day). The service was really nice there as well. Even though we didn't really take advantage of the concierge, everyone on the property was very friendly. However I felt like we had enough privacy when we needed it. It's a very good location, with restaurants close by, as well as the super market. If only we had more time... We will be back and spend more time in Tulemar. Stayed July 2013, traveled with friends

My family and I ( 2 adults and 2 children 15,11), spent 4 nights at a One Bedroom villa with a deck in July 2013. This place exceeded all our expectations. Everything was fabulous. The location, the beautiful pool which was just next to our house, and the private beach, the panoramic view of the ocean and of course, the house itself which was perfect. Cozy, and so nice and comfortable. It was cleaned everyday which was wonderful. We really felt like in paradise. And of course, we will never forget the amazing concierge, Julien. He was always there for us, with his lovely smile, ready to help and advise at any moment. Pura Vida

Amazing Place!Guest comment entered by manager
Tulemar is truly amazing--extremely comfortable but also surrounded by lush and vibrant beauty. The Bunglaow was such a pleasure to stay in--clean, beautiful, quiet, luxurious. And the view--wow! Gorgeous. The bus service easily took us down to the beach whenever we wanted, and my young kids loved playing in the big ocean waves. The kids also enjoyed the swimming pool close to our room--especially the day a huge troop of capuchin monkeys surrounded us at the pool and later appeared (mom with a baby on her back) outside our room window. The food was great and the service was exceptional. I also strongly recommend the super relaxing massage in the most gorgeous area. What we appreciated most about Tulemar, however, was the excellent and very professional the staff. Chris, our concierge, was always ready to help and to answer questions, and he did his best to keep us happy. When I left there, I forgot a CD that we had bought after doing one of our activities, and Chris somehow got it back to me in San Jose before we left--not an easy feat, but one I am truly grateful for. He had contacted me before the trip, and did so again afterwards, which was very thoughtful. The range of activities that you can do are amazing as well and we did it all--ziplining, rafting, ATV riding, hiking, and more. Tulemar is a very special place and one you will remember forever, and will probably go back to time and time again.

Animals such as: sloths, monkeys, lizards, butterflies, etc...Julien was our personal concierge, and he was FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!! He was able to accommodate any request that we had, including: excursions drivers, recommendations for sight seeing restaurants and more. We can't wait to go come back. We highly recommend Tulemar. Great staff, service and stunning views
We couldn't have asked for more! My favorite part of this villa (as a mom) was the kitchen. Traveling with teenagers can be pricey, so with the convenience of the kitchen being fully stocked (and the store near by) it was very convenient. They paid attention the smallest detail in the kitchen, from pure Costa Rican coffee to dishes, to knives. The views!! Breathtaking!!! Sun rise to sunset everyone was super nice! The private beach and pools were wonderful. Thank you! Can't wait to come back, We will tell all of our friends!

Best Vacation With Best Location
There are not enough amazing things I can say about Tulemar!! My boyfriend and I went in June (which is considered part of the rainy season) Though it did rain, they were quick, fleeting showers, or only occurred at night when they didn't much interrupt our plans. The property is stunningly beautiful and the staff are incredibly helpful and always available. Because the property is so big they have constant shuttle runs making transportation around the property much easier, or you can just call the front office and request they come pick you up straight from your room to drop you anywhere on the property you need to go. We stayed in a One Bedroom Select & it was absolutely perfect with a beautiful view of the ocean from our balcony, and always impeccably clean. There was no ice-machine in our room, but when we called down to the front desk for ice a staff member would actually come deliver us a huge bag, so, crisis averted. Also there was a pool just down the walkway from our room - and literally was always empty! It was like we had our own private pool for the whole week we were there- AMAZING! From our room we decided to always take the nature trail down to the beach which was gorgeous. There were always some little critters on the trail for us to take pictures of, & half way down there is a really nice waterfall to stop at. Beware though, this trail can be a little slippery if it has recently rained- we always wore our sneakers down and brought our flip flops with us for the beach. The beach was never crowded even though the property was at full capacity- it was relaxing, & quiet. There were free kayaks to take out whenever you please, a nice lunch station down at the beach, and a staff member ready to take your drink order. Also- lots of monkeys down at the beach!! Was awesome to see. All the restaurants are within walking distance, and were all amazing (top favorites: Barba Roja, El Avion-- there is a woman that sells awesome jewelry outside the restaurant some nights, Agua Azul -- for an AMAZING sunset view, Cafe Milagro for delicious breakfast...just to name a few) We also were in walking distance from Super Joseths (I think that was the name of it) a super market with pretty much anything you could possibly need- I recommend as many bags of the Plantain chips as you can carry back!!! We will be back. Hopefully soon!

Perfect Staff and Luxurious Resort
We've just spent 9 nights in Tulemar Gardens, in what they call "Select Villa" a one bedroom villa with a deck. Our global impression is very positive, and it was a wonderful stay. The villa is nice, well furnished and maintained . Cleaning is done every day, towels, dishes, beds of course.... The terrace is very pleasant, we sometimes didn't feel like going out, and we had dinner in front of the incredible ocean view. The staff,is very kind, efficient and professional. We had a head concierge (Chris) who took a great care of us, making reservation for the activities, giving good addresses and advice. Having a private beach was wonderful. The beaches in Manuel Antonio Park are also pleasant. On the other hand the resort is perfectly located with lots of very good a restaurants, bars, coffee shop, and sport activities. Prices are not exactly low, but you have a real quality, a wonderfully environment and a perfect staff. So the experience was more than fantastic and we would be glad to come back here in the next few years, because there is so much to see and to do in this area.... We had the most incredible experience at Tulemar in Manuel Antonio. We were taken care of by Julian who was absolutely amazing and so friendly. The room was spotless and the view was breathtaking. We could do as little as we wanted or as much as we wanted, be it hanging on our private beach in the resort, taking surf lessons, exploring the rain-forest, zip-lining, and so much more. We absolutely recommend it to anyone and everyone! Thank you Cindy for suggesting this wonderful property. Stayed May 2013, traveled as a couple

Tulemar is beyond expectations
Healing nature, wonderful concierge (Julien), made our time there wonderful. Saw monkeys jumping from tree to tree, sloths, a baby sloth that got separated from his mom, iguanas, crabs, and healing beauty. The sunsets were wonderful, the bungalow was cozy, octagon, part facing jungle, part facing ocean, we had breakfast and lunch at times at ocean side, and the wait staff was wonderful, especially yahida. We were badly in need of time out and away, and Tulemar did the trick. The only part that was confining was that it was difficult to do easy walking there, and we required the shuttle a great deal of the time, but it wasn't a big deal. Julien was wonderful as a concierge and it gave us great comfort to know he was there to call upon. He brought us chocolates one night and brownies another night, and was very personable, warm and friendly, bright and interesting to speak with. Thank you Cindy for suggesting this wonderful property to us.

Tulemar One Bedroom Amazing
My 2 girlfriends and I have just gotten back from Costa Rica, we planned for months and decided to stay in a One Bedroom with a deck and it was the best decision we could of made. From the get go everyone at the bungalows was helpful, kind and informative. From Cindy at booking to David and Brian at the private beach they were all unbelievably sweet and attentive. They answered all our questions and gave us great advice on restaurant options, tour information and nightlife. The grounds are kept beautifully and the views from every angle are spectacular. Watching the sunset every night was a heartwarming experience. Our One Bedroom was gorgeous, clean, comfortable And perfect for 3 people. Had the best breakfast on they're private beach, went kayaking and the pool is amazing, the view from there is magic. try the piña coladas. My favorite. All in all I fell in love with Tulemar, Costa Rica and the beautiful people. I can't recommend this spot more, if you're looking to experience this beautiful country in its natural setting stay at Tulemar. Thank you guys for making our trip an unforgettable journey. Costa Rica Heaven
I traveled to Costa Rica with one of my friends last month and we had no idea what part of Costa Rica we should visit. We took a look at Trip Advisor and saw Tulemar had absolutely amazing reviews. After reading all of the reviews, we decided that we wanted to stay there. We rented a Buena Vista One Bedroom. They were amazing and helpful when we had any questions. They booked all of our tours for us and had the packet of information ready for us to give us all of the necessary information for each tour. Julien was our concierge and he was wonderful. The first night we were there, we did the Night Jungle Tour which we didn't realize did not include transportation, so Julien gave us a ride to the place where the tour was located. No questions asked. The property was beautiful and had an amazing small private beach. Everyone that worked at the hotel was very professional and courteous. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone (as long as you don't mind hiking!) There is shuttle service if you do not feel like walking. I will go back for sure!

We did not want to leave!
My husband and I visited Tulemar in March. We researched many different places and decided Tulemar because of the uniqueness of the resort. We actually found it on VRBO and contacted Cindy. She was so helpful!! We didn’t want the typically resort/hotel experience, but we also didn’t want to rent a private home and be completely on our own. We made the perfect choice. We waited a little too long to reserve a bungalow, so we ended up moving to different bungalows within Tulemar four times during our 6 day stay. It sounds like a hassle, but really it was nothing at all. Julien (who was amazing and made us feel very much at home) arranged for our belongings to be picked up and brought to our next bungalow every morning without any issues. It was fun for us because we were able to experience different places – and they were all great with different views. One of the rooms we were in we could see monkeys jumping from tree to tree from our bed early in the morning. The rooms are all beautiful – clean and bright and quite (with the exception of the wildlife). We had breakfast every morning outside – all but one of the rooms had a small deck with a table and chairs. Each room has a small fridge and microwave (and plates and silverware). We didn’t want to eat every meal out, so we hit the grocery store on our first day. Tulemar is on a hill – you can either take the shuttle service or walk. With the exception of a couple times, we chose to walk. It’s pretty hilly so you’ll get you exercise if you want it. We saw more monkeys and once we saw a sloth just walking from our room to the beach. I could go on and on about the beach – it was truly spectacular. It’s in a protected cove – the waves were super fun to play in with boogie boards – We didn’t want to leave. Because it’s private, there wasn’t a mass of people like you’d find on other beaches. Again, Julien was great with arranging our day. The zip lining company they recommended was fabulous and one of the highlights of our trip. There are restaurants within walking distance, or you can take a cab or bus – we took a cab a couple times, but quickly realized the bus was just as easy and much cheaper. We took the cab arranged by Julien from the airport to the Tulemar, and we took the short flight from Tulemar back- perfect choice for us. Highly recommend this beautiful unique resort. Room Tip: We stayed in 4 different rooms - they were all lovely. See more room tips Stayed March 2013, traveled as a couple

Great VacationGuest comment entered by manager
Stayed 3 nights in Tulemar. Family of 4 greatly enjoyed staying at the One Bedroom Villa. It had a deck and we enjoyed the sunsets and watching all of the wild life. Beach was great and at times we were the only ones on the beach! Having the kitchen facilities together with a separate bedroom made these accommodations work so well for our family. The kids also enjoyed the different pools. Everything was so convenient. Restaurants and a grocery store was right outside of the gates. The kids enjoyed watching the variety of wildlife. Monkeys, sloths, iguanas and more. It was very hard to leave this place. Thank you Cindy for advising us to rent this wonderful property. We will be back.

Monkeys, sloths, Iguanas and more!
Family of 4 stayed in One bedroom Select and it was like living in a tree house. The very first day, several white faced Capuchin monkeys came for visit. Incredible. I decided then and there to spend as much time as I could on that deck. The villa was perfect for our family. The beach at Tulemar was one of the best we have been to - perfect for children of all ages and so very warm. The food and drink service was great at the beach The pools just as warm as the ocean. And everywhere, wildlife - iguana, sloth, birds... As for our stay, we had a private chef one night - Chef Kris - amazing. Highly recommend. He was friendly and fun AND made a fabulous meal for us. Vanessa helped us prior to our arrival (surfing lessons, chef, groceries) and was so responsive and helpful. Diego and Bill helped us through our week and we couldn't have asked for two more professional, helpful, kind people. Diego even managed to get us a sitter last minute so we could go out to nice romantic meal one night. There was so much to do but at the same time, a great place to relax. We cannot wait to go back.

Fantastic Family Vacation
We stayed for 8 nights over our February vacation with our two children 12 and 9. We stayed in a 1 bedroom bungalow . Our room was spacious and clean and perfectly nice. The view is amazing and the sounds your hear outside seemed piped in. Julien and I believe Christian or Chris helped with all of our plans. They set up our ride from the airport which was long but pleasant. The driver took us to a great place to have lunch right outside of San Jose. He would have stopped for snacks and drinks whenever we wanted. They set up our fantastic white water rafting day, our ATV trip (don't wear anything good - it gets trashed) and surfing lessons. Johnny and two other guys took us to a great spot on the public beach and had my kids and I surfing to the beach. They were patient, excellent teachers. They brought drinks and snacks for us. We loved Tulemar's private beach and enjoyed the complimentary kayaks and all the animals - monkeys, sloths, iguanas - on the beautiful property. The beach bar was nice and the view while eating lunch was fantastic. The family pool is great!. Costa Rica is a gorgeous place with extremely friendly, chill people who don't try to sell you everything in sight. Many good restaurants including Kapi Kapi and Cafe Milagro (great breakfast, lunch and dinner) are a very quick walk from the resort. The supermarket is a 2 minutes walk or they are happy to take you. It is a beautiful resort with a very helpful accommodating staff. I highly recommend it for a wonderful family trip. A perfect combination of relaxation and adventure. We will be back!

Buena Vista Beauty
My family stayed at the Tulemar Resort from January 14th - 21st, 2013 for the first time. My husband and I are seasoned travelers and we've stayed in a variety of locations across the globe on a shoestring, but also to the highest standard. I believe we're both well versed at appreciating value for money. We stayed in the Buena Vista Resorts - in a one bedroom villa with our two kids - ages 4 and 8. The property (Tulemar) is gorgeous, the beach is wonderful and everyone is very friendly. We were delighted spotting six sloths over our stay and seeing lots of monkeys, birds and lizards. The concentration and amount of wildlife surpassed our tour at Manuel Antonio National Park. We didn't appreciate the amount of wildlife until we spoke with other tourists. The villa was spacious and had great views of the jungle, water and felt very private. We had an issue with the air-conditioning, and the unit in our villa leaked overnight onto our four year old's pillow to the point where the pillow was supersaturated with water. The management team was quick to respond fixing the air-conditioner, we were offered a complementary meal at a partner restaurant. Things happen right? The beach restaurant was very nice. It was great to be able to have a drink and watch the kids frolic in the water. The villa is rustic as they said but in a very cute way. We had everything we needed and with an amazing view. The concierge service is one of the best we have experienced. There is nothing they won't do for you. My family agrees that we would absolutely go back to Tulemar - we saw so much wildlife, loved the beach and the pools - and to be honest that was what we were after. You must stay here! Don't look any further.

My wife, six year old son and I spent the Christmas holidays at Tulemar and we all agree that it was one of the best family vacations we have ever had. Tulemar is one of the few places where the reality lives up to the marketing and the brochure photos. The one bedroom villa we stayed in was exactly what we hoped for and we had some of our best meals at the beach side restaurant. The best part of the stay though was the staff at Tulemar and their top notch service and hospitality. We had the very good fortune of having our stay planned for us by Chris, the concierge, who strived everyday to make our stay an enjoyable one, even taking us to the grocery store on the evening we arrived so that we could stock up our fridge. We would highly recommend Tulemar as a family destination.

I had a fantastic trip in Costa Rica, and my stay at Tulemar had everything to do with it. Julien, our concierge, took great care of us and was courteous, helpful, and professional. I would recommend Tulemar to anyone who is looking for a place to call home while traveling through Maneul Antonio. I loved my unit because of the deck and its view of the ocean. I woke up each day at dawn I was there to take in the sunrise and made sure I was there on the deck to enjoy each sunset. The amenities were great! You guys think of everything. I did not feel at all like I was in a hotel. Instead, I felt like I was at home with all the finishing touches of elegance and luxury. The private beach was amazing, too! If I head back to Costa Rica one day, and I will, I am going to stay here at Tulemar. Room Tip: An ocean view is the best!

We really enjoyed sitting out on the deck and enjoying the wild life. The service was excellent, the staff was so helpful. Anything we wanted or needed was done. The beach is amazing and so were the drinks at the bar. I cannot think of one negative. Everyday we would return to the room which was extremely clean, comfortable and relaxing. We spent two weeks in Costa Rica for our honeymoon and ended our stay in this beautiful country at Tulemar and it was paradise. We met our concierge Julien right when we arrived and he was the best. He gave us a personal tour of the property, the beach, and the surrounding restaurants and such. Julien so helpful with trip and dinner reccomendations and made our honeymoon and stay at Tulemar unforgettable. We stayed in the Buena Vista One Bedroom with amazing views and wildlife right outside our patio. The private beach was amazing and Daniella at the bar makes the best drinks. We enjoyed walking ( the trails are great too) to the beach enjoying the views and seeing the animals and taking advantage of the shuttle back up. This is a wonderful tropical getaway. We are in our early 30's and just spent the beginning of our Honeymoon at Tulemar. We enjoy relaxing, nature, excursions, and non-touristy places. The seclusion of the private beach was amazing. The nature trails around Tulemar gave us the chance to view some animals (we saw a few sloths) and there was just a little trail down to the beach from where we were staying. We never used the shuttle and just viewed it as another chance to see a few more animals/birds. We enjoyed the use of the kayaks at the beach as well. Ryan was extremely helpful to us helping us rent a car for our next location in Costa Rica - much thanks for his friendliness and complete assistance/recommendations for everything! Because the beach was so nice we hardly spent any time in the pool but the infinity pool at night was still beautifully lit up and refreshing. Just wish we had seen some monkeys but even though we tried being in the right spot in the right time, we just didn't connect. It was a quick taxi trip into Quepos for some more local spots to eat or chill at night. Breakfast was not included but the little bar at the beach had a good Costa Rican breakfast for a reasonable amount to split. The first night we arrived we ordered from Victoria's and ate on our balcony just to enjoy the view and tranquility. We would highly recommend Tulemar to everyone!

We just got back from our honeymoon in Costa Rica and we spent 4 days at Tulemar. We stayed in a One Bedroom Select with a deck. I cant begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our time there. Julien was amazing and took care of us from day one. He made us feel special and took care of us from the moment we arrived on the property. The views, the animals, the trails, the people were all amazing. Please don't miss out on staying here! I wish we would have spent our entire honeymoon here. We are already planning a trip back with friends! Also, Julien is the person to have. After we left, we felt like we were leaving a friend. He is extremely knowledgeable of everything to do, on Costa Rican information/history and just helped us with anything that we needed! We miss Chris!!! Costa Rica & Tulemar . . . Breathtaking
I am so fortunate to have traveled to Costa Rica and no less to an amazing destination in Tulemar! I traveled with family and friends and can't think of a more fantastic magical place to have traveled. The views were absolutely breath taking, better than any magazine or photograph could have captured. The entire experience was unbelievable from the amazing staff; Mauricio especially truely exceeded my expectations, the private beach below and the stunning house. We even splurged one night on a personal chef, Desiree Brassert...all I can say is I was part of the clean plate club and was asking for seconds. Absolutely declious and amazing! I will definately be back! Nothing else compares to this trip! I have been to Eurpoe, Italy, Hawaii, to name a few. Costa Rica by far exceeds these previously traveled destinations. Thank you Mauricio for making this trip an experience I will never forgot and I will most certainly be back in the near future. To those who haven't had the opportunity, all I can say, is that you are missing out on a truely amazing experience and travel destination! Until next time, "Pura Vida." Nicole Stoney

The best part of Tulemar is the property has it's own private beach where you can have lunch, body board, or just lay in the sun. Also every morning you can see monkeys if you go for an early morning walk. We were delighted to see a troupe of white faced monkeys climbing all over the villas one morning. It was a memorable and wonderful experience. Also the hamburger at the beach is de-licious! Def worth a try! Stayed September 2012, traveled as a couple

My wife and I went stayed here during our honeymoon for a week and it was awesome. We booked through Cindy at www.2tulemar.com and it was the best decision. Our concierge was the great. He took care of everything for us, showed us which restaurants to go to and what activities to do. He booked everything for us and even found a chef to come cook a private a dinner for me and my wife. We stayed in a one bedroom villa with a deck and we loved it. They are great and spacious and also have a great view of the beach. Speaking of the beach, it was great to be able to take a nice walk down to a beach that wasn't too crowded. There are kayaks, boogie boards there for you to have fun with and you can also enjoy a great breakfast and lunch at the beach. Quepos is a great little town and very safe, we walked around the town with no issues, all of the locals are nice. Overall it is a great place to stay if you are planning a vacation, whether it be for couples, solo or in groups. The price was great and it's definitely the best place to stay if you are in Quepos. Great zip lines and Manuel Antonio national park is also a great tour to stay. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely do it again! Stayed May 2012

One bedroom delight
My wife and two small children had the time of our lives staying in Tulemar. We chose a one bedroom villa with a deck. The kids were amazed to see the monkeys having a good time on our balcony and on the trees next to our villa. We enjoyed the different pools on the property but the best was the private beach. They even have toys for the kids on the beach. We did several of the excursions offered. Julien, our concierge set up everything for us from excursions to restaurant reservations. IHe made it so nice and easy. All excursions were good but the zip lining was our favorite. I recommend Tulemar to everyone. We will definitely be back.

Tulemar is where you want to be!
From the moment I found the website and starting booking this trip everyone has been extremely helpful! I was then assisted by Mauricio the house manager. I was able to email him any questions I had and he responded within the hour. We went to the national park, canyoning, sailing and white water rafting. Mauricio assisted with all booking and the companies picked us up at our front door to go on the excursions! The villa was breathtaking! I can't wait to go back!

“Can't wait to return!”
We can't say enough good things about our stay at Tulemar. Our family of 4, 2 teenage boys included, were looking for a beautiful spot where we could relax after doing fun adventurous activities in Costa Rica. Well, we fell in love with the countryside and its wildlife during our whitewater rafting trip, ATV , ziplining, and jetski tours. Our casa was in a particularly convenient spot, but felt very private when sittting on the deck. A whiteface monkey with a baby on her back walked across our railing one morning! Julien arranged all our tours for us, we just had to show up outside our casa every morning for the next fun adventure! It was great to come back to our lovely casa in the afternoon and head down to the pool or beach for swimming and lounging. Julien made recommendations every night for dinner, and we had delicious meals each evening at the local restaurants within walking distance. Then back to the casa for listening to the night creatures on our deck while taking a hot tub! A few minor adjustments were needed in our casa, and Julien attended to them immediately. At the end of the week it was hard to leave.

“A Wonderful place to stay”
Tulemar was a delightful place to stay. The setting was lovely as were the pools and private beach. There are many restaurants near Tulemar and breakfast and lunch can be gotten at Tulemar making everything very easy. There is a small and somewhat expensive market in town which did serve to provide staples for breakfast and snacks for us. If one had a car, one could get supplies in one of the larger markets a little further from Manuel Antonio. All the expected side trips, e.g., zip lining and white river rafting, could be arranged within one hour or less from Tulemar. The staff arranged all reservations for us and helped us with dinner recommendations.

“Beautiful place, Warm hospitality, incredible
service.” I took my high-maintenance 17 year-old daughter and 11 year-old son to Tulemar - the place was amazingly beautiful, private beach was great and over-all service was incredible across the board - Jullien would stop by our place daily and organize our dinner and other activity bookings - I will definitely go there again. BTW, the family-pool is really nice with a great view of the ocean.

We felt spoiled from the moment we arrived, until we, reluctantly, had to return home. The house was fabulous with an amazing view of the tropical rain forest and Pacific Ocean. We enjoyed the swimming pool every day and also our time on the private beach, sipping pina colados and body surfing in the afternoons. Can't wait to return to this unique vacation spot.

“1st Review ever, but compelled by the experience"
The Tulemar experience as hosted by Maurico, Dave, and the Tulemar team was a trip unlike any other. I am well traveled and have experienced exceptional service in beautiful locales many times. But never have felt compelled to write a review. The service, the views, the private beach, the exquisite accommodations, the private chef (definitely take advantage of this), the mix of luxury, tranquility, privacy, and unsurpassed service of the team at Tulemar was MAGICAL. When paired with the beautifully lush surroundings and adventure experiences available on demand in Costa Rica, staying in Tulemar becomes a must do. I dare say try it. You will be hooked there simply is no other place that can compare. There were so many memorable experiences that it is impossible to pick one. Suffice to say these guys have the details down. From the moment of arrival to the sad day of departure this trip it was an experience that cannot be duplicated and must be shared and treasured... I miss it daily.
