Summertime, it is a beachhouse, Fall ,it gives the feel of a cozy cabin nestled in a deep valley at the base of a bluff. The Fall foliage contrasted with the river reflecting the blue sky can be striking. Wintertime ,the stark contrast from the white snowscape outside to the warmth inside really adds to the cozy feeling. Downey Woodpeckers and other wild birds hang out at the feeder. Shopping in Dubuque is a scenic 20 minute drive on paved roads. The Master bedroom is a great place to start the new day. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the bedrooms deck and watch the river light up with the morning sun. The Master queen and double twin bedrooms share a toilet and pedastel sink. My family and I rent cabins through VRBO a number if times each year and this one is my absolute favorite so far. The cabin is situated perfectly: great views (porches galore) with barges passing super close by; a great sandy strip of beach for the kids; and a very clean and comfortable cabin. Thanks so much for helping make our Mother's Day weekend wonderful!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We enjoyed our "girls weekend" stay here very much. The cabin was very clean and well maintained. The location was wonderful. It is very private at this time of year. It has a nice area to walk around. We enjoyed watching the barges and the trains. Although the train tracks were close to the cabin, we were never disturbed or woken by them. The cabin was tastefully decorated and was even decorated for Christmas. Gas fireplace was so nice and kitchen was surprisingly large for a cabin. Pans, dinnerware, and utensils were well stocked. Beds were comfortable and shower was large and had lots of hot water. There was plenty of towels and paper products. The owner is very friendly and answers questions very quickly. He even drove out to help us when we couldn't figure out how to work the gas fireplace! There are some very good restaurants nearby and there are menus available in the cabin so you can check them out before going. The listing is very accurate, price is appropriate, and we plan to stay here again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

What a great find! I would highly recommend this cabin. The pictures do not do it justice! This was a perfect place for my young family. The kids enjoyed the walk to the beach, watching the barges, and of course those occasional trains. The large yard and firepit were also a hit. We (me, kids and grandkids) spent a long weekend here in January and it was great. We were able to go hiking, sliding, and skiing, and the kids had a great time. The cabin was clean and cosy, with some nice decorative touches, and the owner was very helpful and considerate. Would definitely do it again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We were extremely pleased when we pulled up to our rental cabin in October...having stayed at various cabins in the Iowa/Wisconsin area, seeing the cabin nestled near the Mississippi with a great view just as advertised was welcoming. Upon entering, we were not disappointed either. The cabin was clean, very well stocked with everything we needed, with firewood available as well for our outdoor campfires. Reasonably priced, we felt we definitely got our moneys worth and would not hesitate to stay here again. More than once, one of us would smile and say "great find". I would say 5 star for sure!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We rented out this cabin for the weekend with a group of people and had a wonderful time! We stayed in the summer so we were able to walk to the beach, play sand volleyball (court right next to the cabin), plus there was a huge yard, where we had a bonfire as well. The cabin is clean, cute, and comfortable even for a group of people. All the neccesities were there for us, such as a grill. I would recommend it to anyone as a fun affordable weekend getaway!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The picture of this cabin does not do it justice. The cabin and grounds are beautiful! The girls in our family have made it a tradition to take a weekend vacation every summer and we choose a different location each year. Our 13th annual vacation we chose this cabin and it exceeded our expectations in cabin renting! It's very clean, tastefully decorated, and has everything you could possibly ask for & MORE! Not a far drive from Dubuque, where we visited the beautiful Botanical Gardens and did some shopping. We also enjoyed hanging out by the fire pit in the evening and exploring the beach nearby during the day. I would recommend this cabin to anyone! We plan to go back!
