RECEPTIVE STRUCTURE. Casale delle Vigne is a house dating back to the 19th century, situated on the slopes of Monte Amiata with a splendid view over the hills of the Maremma up to the Tyrrhenian coast. The house was renovated in 2005 with recycled materials such as the open face stones and the terracotta tiled floors. The exposed beams have also been retained. The property is completely surrounded by an unspoiled countryside which allows guests to enjoy absolute tranquillity whilst admiring the sunset with a good glass of wine. Casale delle Vigne is a property suited to those wishing to add relaxation and well being to the quiet of the countryside; in fact the little town of Saturnia, renowned for its spa, is less than 30 km away whilst the Tyrrhenian coast and the Argentario are just one hour away by car.
Interior
The house is on two terraced levels. The main entrance is situated on the side which overlooks the pool. It leads directly into the living area with fireplace, dining table and kitchenette. On the right side of the living area are the bedrooms on this floor reached by a corridor: a twin bedroom with a splendid view of the garden, a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower. The corridor also has direct access to the outside. Next to the main entrance is the wooden spiral staircase which goes down to the lower floor with a bathroom with shower and a games room with billiards, ping pong and darts; this room is connected to one of the outside porches. Also on this floor, and with outside access, is another double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower. The laundry room, also with outside access, is next to the main entrance.
Park
The property is 6 hectares of which 3 are woodland, 1 is olive grove and 1 is pasture. The garden around the house is about 400 square metres is entirely enclosed and is planted with lawn interspersed with flowerbeds and olive trees. The house has two pergolas, one of which is furnished with benches, coffee table and hammock, and the other with a hammock. In front of the main entrance is a panoramic terrace with sun umbrella and furnished with table, chairs and bench for alfresco dining.
Swimming Pool
The pool, in a panoramic position, is on the same level as the house and is about 15 metres from it. It measures 11 x 4 m with a constant depth of 1.40 m; access to the water is via steps or ladder. It is lined in sky blue PVC and is purified with chlorine. The solarium area, paved in stone, is equipped with a solar shower, sunbeds, deckchairs and sun umbrella. The pool is open from the last Saturday of April until the first Saturday of October.
Location
The property is located in Santa Flora, a small medieval village surrounded by woodland near Monte Amiata. It is the ideal vacation spot for all seasons thanks to its natural beauty (hiking trails, ski pistes, nature reserves, etc). In a very short time you can reach the famous spa town of Saturnia. Its proximity to the Tuscan coast offers opportunities for pleasant days in the seaside resorts.

The location was great, the pool and grounds were also great, the Games Room was also a very useful addition if weather was not hot and sunny. We are very pleased with all your help and support. We had an issue with the Boiler at the Property for one day, this was resolved quickly but we did have to wait at Villa for all of one day for it to be fixed, so one day of our holiday was spoilt.Did you find this review helpful? More comfortable seating in main living room would be nice. The property accommodates 6 people but only 1 sofa seating max 3 people. We had to bring in the outside deck chairs for extra seating in the evening. Overall though the property was extremely nice and the above point is minor. We found Mr and Mrs Bottai (the owners) to be extremely nice, welcoming and also very helpful. The property was well equipped, clean, tidy and had a lovely position.
